Well maintained and pleasant landscape. Pretty water splash pad and play structures. When you take pictures of your kids here, the photos come out very vivid and lively because of color contrast in the background. My kid expresses her sweet memories in there. I am more than grateful for having this place that my family can share our happy moments.One star off because bathroom and faucet are not availabe for sanitizing hands.

This park is awesome! There is basketball courts, permanent restroom, spacious parking lot, swing, sliding, climbing, and splash on the summer. There are some picnic shelters. If you ride bike, there are some tools attached and air pump too.

It reminds of back home in Chicago big parts and I love the basketball courts. Great peace of mind location

A very large park with many recreational amenities. Frisbee golf, hiking, picnic facilities and playground equipment. Always clean and well kept.

Sat in the car in the shade and had lunch. Was fun watching all the activity. Stayed in car due to Covid, but it was nice being in the park.

My kids love Thomas park but I think it need more play equipment.

Although situated along a busy intersection, once in the park the sound is not noticable. Signs of trails closed keep us from wandering further past storm debris. We still had plenty of well mown grass fields to play some bocci. Disc golf course looks challenging.Well worth a visit to find a quick and quiet break from your day.

All in all a nice park with several amenities: splash pad and physical activity areas for the kids, picnic tables in the open and under pavilions, charcoal grills, restrooms with running water.

Nice park located on the edge of Marion and near Cedar Rapids. Right on the trail. Splash pads Pavilions and bathrooms, everything you need.

Its a great family friendly environment to enjoy the great outdoors.

The storm shelter was a great place to have a cooling station with internet access and charging station. It was a great idea to have the librarians there.

If you like being around people, Thomas Park is a good place to go. Between the nature trail, the fresby golf course, playground and pavilions, there is always people there.

Fabulous park. Splash pad, large sand pit, and two playgrounds suitable for a variety of ages. There are bathrooms available and trails as well.

We always enjoy Thomas park. It was a little busy at the splash pad today but the kids still had alot of fun. Today it was overall very clean out there too.

One of the best parks in the Cedar Rapids area, just inside the small town of Marion. Here youll find two playgrounds, swings, a sand pit, frisbee golf course, pavilions to rent for special occasions, hiking trails, bike trails, restrooms, and the prettiest splash pad in the area.A few years back the city replaced the aging, and somewhat scary, metal playground with a much safer, though less thrilling, play area.

Way 2 may people gathering at the playground with social distancing but if u r just looking for a nice walk they have a good walking trail

Wish they had a pool but kids like splash pad and sandbox. Was really crowded but rightfully so as they have a great variety of equipment.

Super dope place. Awesome play places for the kids, theyve got a splash pad as well, a couple pavilions, a few benches, and some killer trails! Never had a bad experience here and it connects to the marion football field and hanna park through the trails

Awesome place to take Your Kids or Grandkids to have fun.

I would have enjoyed this trail more if it wasnt for a couple things. First time on it and I thought it looped around to where you started but it is a straight trail. Went straight quite awhile before I figured that out. I like knowing how far Ive walked with looped trails but mile markers would help this one. Also the this is a frisbee golf trail and they throw them right at your head. Theses type of frisbees can do damage at that speed so not cool. I thought it was an accident the first time.

Ok, Thomas park is really really cool for kids and adults. The park has a lot to offer. The disc golf course offers both wooded holes and open holes.

This is my kids favorite park. The play structure is huge, and theres also a sand pit and splash pad. Even a sledding hill. My kids miss the old equipment up at the top.

One of the best parks in the Cedar Rapids Metro area. Our kids like the jungle gyms. We have always liked walking on the trails in and around the park. But the kids absolutely love the splash pad there.

Its a great place to let the kids run around. The splash pad is nice. Plenty of places to just sit and enjoy the trees. The bike path is conveniently located right there as well!

This is a beautiful park. My dogs love walking the trails that can take you all over town. Theres also great play areas for kids, picnic shelters with water and electricity hook ups, basketball courts, and more. Always clean and well maintained

Great walking trails. Although I was there near dusk, I didnt see one mosquito. So, I assume they spray for them. Lots of play ground equipment. Good parking.

I grew up playing at Thomas Park so to think back on how it looked then compared to how it looks now is nostalgic to say the least. They have made a lot of improvements over the years and looks better now than it did before, however it still doesnt mean I dont miss the old Thomas Park.

Always a great park. Theres something for all sizes of kids. Its my 4yo favorite place because he can climb high, slide fast, dig deep in the sand, or just splash away in the water. With multiple children, I wish the bathrooms were closer, but at least these ones have doors.

It is a clean park in a great location. It has lots of acrivities including a open area for throwing or kicking balls, a splash area and basketball courts.

Great place to get together with all sorts of people. Im not from around the Cedar rapids area but every time Ive been they are very welcoming. My two year old loves how they have a playground for younger children and one for bigger kids.

Great park in the nearby area. Water splash area in summer is super fun. It also has sand play area and slides and swing for different age gropu of kids. Few shelters as well, good for any get together.

Such a big park. The splashpad is Lots of fun for the kids! There are several large covered picnic areas for groups to gather and nice Grills for denizens to freely use! Plenty of waste receptacles to reduce trash on the ground. And they keep it clean and it seems that the equipment is properly kept up as well !

Kids love it and when we are in the area we make a point to stop even if its just for 10 minutes.

Beautiful. Beautiful park! And really big. Went there with a friend who knows the place and I was blown away by the beauty of the forests and the magnitude of the scene that God layed out in His wonderful way. The paths are wide and they are mostly well groomed. If you have a chance to go here I would highly recommend it.

Thomas park is a great place to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. it has safe and exiting playground equipment and spacious pavilions as well as beautiful views from the high wooded trails. it is a great place for walking and spending time with family and freinds :)

This is a great family park! The three story tree house is super cool, the splash pad is great, and its right by some nice trails and has frisbee golf.

Yay! Clean and the grounds were well-maintained. There seemed to be sufficient parking. There were trash bins provided throughout the parts of the park I went to. That was helpful as a friend and I got some garbage out of the creek.

Probably one of the best parks ever!

This is by far the best park/recreation venue around. There’s 2 play areas with equipment age appropriate for the littlest ones & for school age kiddos on up. There’s a pavilion area w/picnic tables to hold events & outdoor grills to cook out. There’s plenty of open space for kicking a ball, playing catch or toss a frisbee. Large sandbox and during warm weather, a splash pad for cooling off. Walking trails that meander through nature and a disc golf course for those more competitive. I get to relax and enjoy watching my daughter play with her friends and even make new ones. We’re fairly new to Iowa so it’s nice to have a favorite place my daughter refers to as “her Park.” LOL

Thomas park has great pavilions, splash pad, and playground.
