My son and I absolutely love to come to the Tall Grass Trail to explore and connect with nature.

Beautiful trails, well kept paths and playground area.

Ample parking, shelter area clean with plenty of trash cans and a playground. A portable toilet was clean with paper and hand sanitizer. The trail is absolutely beautiful! A wonderful place for every age group to enjoy whether you walk it or cycle it.

If youre looking for somewhere to unwind this trail is perfect. The walkways are even and smooth and the feel is relaxing.

Beautiful and serene scenery, and a variety of small animals, insects, and birds - even a few small (harmless) snakes.

Its hard to believe, but on this trail you can transverse this flat farm country on this trail under nearly a continuous canopy of shade. However you travel this trail, when you stop, you are swarmed with mosquitoes. This was puzzling to me, as it was a very dry time of year and I was outside of the swampy areas. It was like that all over Marion County, mosquitoes everywhere.

Clean, gorgeous smooth ride

A real treasure of Marion County. The amount of work that volunteers put in, and the many donations from generous people, is astounding. Hard to believe how far its come from its humble beginnings.

Fantastic paved surface, all 12+ miles. Excellent facilities,water fountain, maybe 6 porta-johns, play ground for kids at trailhead.

Nice trail that starts at the west end of the former Erie Lackawanna Marion yard and follows the right of way. A playground, picnic area and signs featuring both wildlife and the history of the RR line are nicely designed. Keep an eye out for cranes, and there are also several abandoned railroad artifacts along the way. Very scenic.

Its a nice, almost completely flat, and mostly straight trail. Theres not much to see on the trail though save for a little bit of wildlife here or there (mostly birds and squirrels). It seems to be well maintained and cared for.

Overall, the Tallgrass trail is a wonderful place to visit. Go alone, bring friends, bring family! Lots to do, lots to see! I only wish there were trash cans throughout the trail to prevent potential littering.

I love going out to the Tallgrass trail to walk. Plenty of beautiful scenery & several types of wildlife to observe. The walking trail is paved, which is nice, with benches to sit and rest on throughout.

This park is very clean.

Wonderful place for riding your bike or walking the 12 mile trail. But I love it for the bird watching. Especially early morning.

Nice addition for activities in the Marion area. Short drive from town. Kinda gets you out in the country a little bit, to maybe see some wildlife. Not the most picturesque of places though.

Nice place to exercise with no cars. Kinda boring because its so straight but thats okay. Watch out for dogs though. And give people plenty of warning that youre behind them.

What a great addition to the parks in Marion. The tailgrass trail is no doubt one of the best things Marion has to offer its citizens. The trail is over 12 miles long thats all paved with a pavilion at the trailhead. It also offers a pond that you can fish in with a trail encircling it. I highly recommend a visit here with your kids and a walk with the dogs.
