We absolutely loved this spot. We had just planned to hike out on the bar a bit, but were so enchanted, we stayed the afternoon. My kids loved splashing in the shallow water and building sandcastles on the narrow beach. Hope to come back. Everyone was very friendly.

We kayaked out there... Not a good idea unless youre an avid kayaker..very cool though.
