Nice park. But alot of geese & you know what comes along with the geese??
This place is super cool. If you havent checked it out yet, do it. I went here for a field trip way back, and still love to stop down from time to time. Very peaceful place by the water. Awesome for anyone that wants to simply get out and about. I fish there once in a while. They have a playground, and museum, and much, much more. Plus they have fireworks and car shows from time to time. My favorite is probably the logging festival though. 5 out of 5 kitties love to stop here on a beautiful day.
Had a great personal tour that was very informative on the history for the country and how the people settled here. Happy I stopped
Is beatiful
Great historical information on the area. My 11 yr old grandson enjoyed it and liked the info that one of the guides offered. Inexpensive and we spent a few hours there. The grounds were covered with geese and their messes, so I would not plan to use the outside areas
Nice place, just a bit to much duck poo
So glad we stopped here - we learned quite a bit about the logging history of the area. Such a deal at only $3 - plus you get a free postcard and a tour of an original homesteaders cabin. Situated in a beautiful park on the river, a definite MUST on your tour of the area.
I think i seen my grandpas old bed sheets, neat little stainon the mid left. AMAZING!!!
We attended the logging fest here it was wonderful
Lovely museum and located with my favorite park. Its a spacious peninsula park right on the river. Play area for the kids, picnic and covered pavilion for the family bbq. There is an abundance of wildlife to observe too but with that comes the droppings so be cautious of your steps.
Great place, awesome outdoor
The stars are for the beautiful view all around the building. It deserves five stars minus the goose poop every where..I had a horrible experience in Marionette and the people who work here are uncaring, assumptious people. My sister and I got stranded there. We live in WestAllis WI which is not anywhere near there!! We were stuck for 2 days, with no where to go, no way to get home, and no sleep. We waited at a picnic table for hours, for a ride that never came. I went to the bathroom and when I returned a police car was sitting there. I sat back at the table and within seconds the officer made me aware he was there for us. The women inside had called them and the reasoning was because we were sitting there for over 3 hours. I didnt realize sitting in a park at a picnic table for any amount of time was a crime. They never came out to say anything & we werent bothering anyone. All we did was sit there. The officer asked what we were doing there and i told him we had gotten a ride there and the driver drove away the day prior leaving us stranded there. We had never been in that area so have no friends to go by and no knowledge of the area. I gave him my id to show that we in fact werent from around there. He replies with thats the kind of story he hears from someone who came there to buy large amounts of marijuana and heroin. WHAT???We did nor said anything for that response. We werent meeting people or passing anything we legit were just sitting there. There was no concern or compassion from anyone for our situation, only dirty looks and assumptions. It was the first time we had ever been in that area and I gotta say I think it was my last. I dont understand why they wanted to cause us trouble, in an already hard situation. I hope if anyone else finds themselves in a similar set of circumstances, they get more compassion then we did...
