A lovely, sprawling, critical portion of our town. Perfect place to fall asleep reading on a warm day.

Great place to walk along the river and feel like you’re in the woods. Don’t miss the turtle pond and the many adorable bridges. Walk to Maplewood town for a picnic lunch.

I love this place! It has a playground, basketball and tennis courts, an open field, a super cute duck pond with adorable turtles that will swim right up to you looking for some food! There’s also a place where you can wade in the Rahway river.

One of the loveliest parks around. Vast green fields connected by a steep hill, with a stream, a baseball field, a playground, and just a whole lot of open space. A beautiful bowl looking out into Maplewood. The best of America, New Jersey-style!

Such a special well kept public space. Quiet and just the right bit of noise from literal train station across, it welcomes people in!

Very nice park. Very weird vibe with all the people wearing masks. Seems ridiculous when people playing catch, riding bikes or skateboards are wearing a mask.

This is the largest and most unique park in Maplewood. It is in very close proximity to Maplewood Middle School, the Maplewood Library and the NJ Transit Train station. Memorial Park has a beautiful pond along with an active stream/river that flows through it. There is an area for playing sports such as baseball and softball. There are numerous courts for playing basketball and tennis. Theres also a playground for children. Last but not least, the area closest to the train station is used for major concerts in the summer and sledding, when possible, during the winter.

Wow. I havent been here for 10 years when the ruins were still being cleared and the memorial museum was a temporary display. Now its a huge park with the stunni g memorial waterfalls and both the museum, occulus (shopping centre) and new WTC all next to each other. Even in the rain it was a good day out and gave me the opportunity to talk to my kids about 9/11.

This was my 1st 4th of July in Maplewood and it was great to see the fireworks locally. My only concern was the minimization of the police as the evening grew later. Women with small children appreciate knowing that officers are standing by in case of crowds running.

Three large field open to the public, well maintained baseball fields, a child friendly playground, tennis courts, a duck pond, and more. A great place to relax, run, or simply walk through. Only gripe is the indoor bathrooms arent 100% public so can be locked at times. Alternative is portable restrooms. other than that the park is a wonderful destination nearby the train station and Maplewood Village.

A true jewel and a center of public life in the town, as a park should be. Permitted commuter parking around much of it, so driving there midday, be ready to circle or just walk half a block. Shady playground on hot days but it but it stays wet after it rains. Great duck and turtle pond. Ballfields. Everything youd want in a park, one block from the from the town center.
