I take my Regina to the dog park here. Lots of space. Always a few dogs to socialize with. Several waste stations with bags. People do a really good job of cleaning up after their pets. There is also a fun disc golf course. 18 holes. Some holes through deep forest and some through open fields. Plenty of parking. There are also soccer and football fields. Playground equipment. A great park.

This place is huge, clean and good for the puppies. I only went to to the dog park but I enjoyed it and so did my four legged babies. This will be the only dog park I go to it was great.

Awesome park with soo much space! By far the most spacious and beautiful park in/around Manhattan! They have a gorgeous and spacious Disc Golf course, multiple soccer fields, hiking and biking trails with access to the Kansas River, a great play area for the kids, 2 fenced dog parks, and free CLEAN public restrooms! Be sure to check out Fairmont Park for any outdoor activities.

Their were lots of other large dogs for socializing. We didnt make it to the water, but I saw several tuckered out, four legged, furry swimmers that looked very happy. My dog was very content playing catch and having a 16 week old puppy try to antagonize him into wrestling :)

Great park to take a break and reconnect with nature at. Nice atmosphere. Can sit and enjoy nature, play disc golf, walk, play on playground, etc. The roads were a little rough in places but we have been having lots of rain. Will definitely go back and play disc golf. Might even take our dogs!

My first time being there, I went to the dog park and it was filled with other peoples dogs, and my dog had a wonderful time. Its an amazing place to be with your dog, or be with your human companions.

The disc golf course has evolved substantially since 2013, and is now quite fun and challenging. Other elements of the park seem fine.

Really great park. Well kept and polite friendly dog people. We went to the small dog park and was surprised at how many dogs were there. When we showed up there were only two by the time we left (maybe 30min) there were 12+ . And the big dog park had even more.

Wow! Such an awesome park!! Its got a GREAT disk golf course...18Holes total. A front 9 which is wooded and good for skill shots. While the back 9 is the open area that you drive into upon arriving to Fairmont park. The DOG part of the Park is also awesome, great area for dogs to run and play (a small kennel/large kennel is available). Have fun at the park for sports or leisure!!

I love this park. There are two separated dog parks, by size. When not freezing, there are fountains for the dogs and the parks are quite large. What I dont love is no one regards the size guidelines on the parks, and most people with small dogs take them into the big dog side.

I spent many hours practicing the game of football here many years ago.

Nice park! We played a football game, there. The bleachers were questionable, so we chose to sit in lawn chairs. Nice little bathroom facilities, but no sink for washing hands. (They did provide hand sanitizer)

Great dog park with access to the river for a swim!

Dog park, tiny kids playground, tons of open space, trail, picnic tables, football field, feels secluded. Its a pleasant area. Frisbee golf and maybe more that I didnt see.

Great dog park with nice trails around it. Unfortunately, there is still the occasional owner who brings their aggressive dog to the park. And some owners seem to busy on their cell phones to pick up after their fur kids

The trails are mine and my dogs favorite. On hot days he jumps in the river to cool off. Far away from traffic. Peaceful place

Had a great time playing disc golf.

The park was a pretty great place. Nothing to fancy or crazy. It was great because we where able to let our dog off leash in the play area. There were not a ton of people when we got there, but it started to fill up by the time we were leaving. It had a ton of parking area so it great for that reason. We came with our 40ft RV and car and Tow. There was enough area for us to pull around and not have to unhook the car. It was a little muddy because of the rain, but other than that it was great!

We tried to play Disc Golf but the first 9 holes are near the river. It was definitely the wrong time of year to go. We were swarmed with mosquitoes. Its beautiful but I wish there was more of a playground as well.

I live there smack in the middle of the fridge park nice spot to live quiet except for an occasional rude or perhaps inconsiderate frisbe golf player and dusk and dawn bring voracious mosquitos in the warm months but I like the spot

Amazing trails to hike, lots of open space and kept up really well. I take my dog here almost every day and he has a blast playing with the other dogs. Only downside is that the big dog park is very muddy with not much grass

The disc course is great but bring bug spray, was eatin alive the whole time.

Dog Park: It’s a very nice grassy area that is mostly built on sand, which is awesome when it has been raining a lot. It does have some flooding areas and several easily avoidable holes that are marked off. It has very nice access to doggie bags/trash and a clean water fountain for the dogs. It has two separate areas for large dogs and dogs under 14 pounds. I love the trails around the park. Do be cautious of other people’s dogs, as both times I’ve been there someone has introduced a dog that bullies others. Also, some locals will bring their dogs off leash in the park area outside of the fence.

Nice disc golf course. First one I have played in the area and really enjoyed it. Not a hard course to follow. Good mix of woods and open area. Give this place a try.

Very fun, family and pet friendly. Great area for dogs to play and swim and for owners to relax. Some toys could be replaced but overall the trip with my friends and their dogs was enjoyable.

Spacious and open park. Somewhat out of the way, so its usually not too crowded. A good amount of trees for shade.

Nice dog park. Nice water fountain for dogs and some seating. Big enough that large dogs can play but the small dog section was quite tiny. Nicely shaded and had baggies which I appreciated.

Great place to take your dog any time of year. The water fountain is closed November through March or April, so be prepared. Even if no other doggie friends are there you can always go for a walk along the lever and get a great view of the river.

Theres trails you can walk or run by the river, you and your pet could hop in the water. Plenty of wide open area for whatever you want. Theres disc golf, public restrooms, trash can, benches, and the dog park. The dog park has running water most of the year, it is turned off during winter, so bring your own during this time. 3 access points, tables, and plenty of friends. You do get the occasional dummy that brings food in, this is a DOG park people. Theres a side for small, and large dogs. Bags available to pick up your pets mess. I love this park, I just dont care for the ignorant lazy people that go there some times. Theres plenty of room in the rest of the actual park for a picnic. Dont get mad at the dogs because you brought food into a dog park. Over all Fairmont has just about everything you need and want in a park.

The formal dog park is pretty small, and not a lot to do. It does have a water fountain for the dogs. The trail is amazing! It was 1.6 mile for the loop, and there are several access points for the river. I love taking my dog here. The river is low right now so it is pretty tame. It is running at 556 cubic feet per second at USGS 06887000 BIG BLUE R NR MANHATTAN, KS. If you want to look it up online that will give you a reference. Even though it is low, there are still spots where the current is pretty stiff. I wouldnt recommend it for small dogs or little children.

Great park, I have only seen a couple of fights. For the most part, the dogs are friendly, and there is a river path near by you can take your dog to go for a dip.
