This is a marvelous place to go for a hike or bike ride. The trails are exciting, and the scenery is beautiful. Also, the park has fun little details, like a snake made out of rocks and sticks. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a sweet place for a biking adventure or a hiking trip.

The trails are challenging. Even the easy green trail is tougher than green trails in most other parks. Dont let me scare you away though. We rode most of the trails on a tandem and had a great time. We drove from Indiana and found the trail to be well worth the trip.

Rockland has it all! Theres a great skills area and singletrack for riders of all abilities. More advanced riders will love Thunderdome, Beyond Thunderdome, and Dirt Church. This should be on every riders bucket list for CT riding!

My buddy and I took our 3yr olds there with their balance bikes. They had a blast. Nice easy trails for them. Picnic tables and portable toilets were a nice addition to all the bike features. Trails here link up with a much larger network of trails and a good expanse of woods too. You could ride your bike or walk for miles and miles.

Great place to mountain bike. Challenging, but approachable. By the Route 79 parking lot there is a skills area to get an idea of what challenges lie on the trails. Trails are well maintained and fellow riders are friendly.

Great single track trails would highly highly recommend. Trails for all levels of riding. They do close during wet conditions so check the facebook page to make sure it is open if it rained the days before you intend to go.

Super well maintained trails. The trail system is derived of flowy sections but also much tech. The use of the land was intelligently thought bout and used so the climbing and descending seems pretty equal if you hit the right trails!

Hands down the best mountain biking in CT. Between the pink track, skills park, and miles of interesting trails, it really is an amazing place to go riding.

Best place to ride in ct! The trails here are well planned, clearly marked, and have a very good map system that will keep even a first timer on track and having a great time. The parking lot routinely fills up on weekends, but the trails are directional, meaning you will probably not see another mtn biker on the trail.

Most likely the best trails in CT..when its open... thats the only problem for me..when its open..I go to case or millers because I know they will always be open regardless.i do understand about the rain and rut thing but seems way to overkill ..if a squirrel pisses on the trail..it will be closed for sure the next 24hrs..so for that reason Ive given up on it

I was also harassed here for operating a motorized vehicle, they called the cops who met me in the parking lot. I guess motorized vehicles are not allowed here. After a long discussion I understand why. I guess local mountain bikers have volunteered countless hours over the years to make these amazing trails with full permission from the town. One of the agreements the mountain bikers made with the town is that whatever trails they made would not attract any motorized traffic. So that is why they protect this land so diligently. I will come back with my mountain bike, there are hardly any hills here. Plus if you really have trouble with the 150 ft climb you can shuttle it.

Excellent single track trail system for mountain biking with a kids section. Well maintained trails with something for every level of rider. If you are a serious mountain biker this is a must stop spot. Well marked trails with maps posted throughout the riding area. Obey posted signs and follow the posted arrows to ride with the flow.

Got interrogated by one of the trail maintainers and also had some rude comments from some random rider for riding our class 1 pedal assist ebikes here. Full of elitist snobs who drink the NEMBA koolaid, stay away. Would only recommend if you want to be confronted over doing things that dont actually hurt anyone when youre trying to enjoy yourself outdoors. Will not return as it ruined the ride for us and just made us feel unfairly persecuted over stupid laws. God forbid I want some assistance on uphills because of my bad knee.
