Nice local theater strives to bring great live performances

I really can’t say enough good things about this place we went to see Mary Poppins, the last show and they Truly bent over backwards to be sure my husband and I got a seat. The performers were wonderful and talented. I think every seat in the house had a good view. We will definitely be back.

A fun little community theater. Would love to spend a lot more time there. Parking was rather difficult though. Had to park 3 streets over and I am handicapped.

I have never been disappointed by a show at Theatre Macon. The talent, the sets, and the costumes are always amazing!!! I would recommend to anyone who loves theater either to watch or to even participate in as an actor. They even have a youth actors company for young thespians. I just cant say enough about Theatre Macon!!

We saw our first show,Mama Mia,at Theare Macon. What a great performance! Our party enjoyed every aspect of the show. The staff was extremely friendly. We will definitely be returning for future performances. What a great experience. I recommend Theatre Macon to everyone I see.

Theatre Macon offers a quality cultural experience that is worth every penny of a very affordable ticket price. Shows vary and often sell out, so make your reservations early. If its your first time, it wont be your last. If its not...then youve made my point! Enjoy!

Theres this supposed war between Theatre Macon and Macon Little Theatre, as well as their staff and regular artists. Not sure if its true, but the rumor alone is entertaining. Theatre Macon has an open-concept stage and fantastic acoustics. Consequently, the seating gets a bit confusing for audience members. Nice wine/coffee selection during intermission, and they frequently display local art for sale. Performances are spectacular (especially large musicals like Les Mis or the Titanic musical).

Very nice place to see a community play!

My husband & I just went to see Beauty & the Beast for our anniversary. I purchased our tickets online 2 weeks in advance. I was very impressed that I was able to choose our seats because Id been to other plays where the seats were first come first serve. WELL..we arrived about 30 minutes early & waited in the lobby until the ushers opened the doors. I tried several times to show different people that worked there my tickets on my phone, but they just said find your seat & let us know if you need help. I THOUGHT that we were in these great seats all by ourselves until 5 minutes before the show the usher comes up to me & asks if she can see my tickets. I had already turned my phone off for the show so I had to turn my phone back on & pull them up..all the while another couple is standing there glaring at me in front of everyone (we were in the front left center of the stage) and the usher proceeds to tell me that those were not our seats..that our seats were ON THE FLOOR literally 2 inches away from the stage & she would have to go get chairs for us to sit in!!! I Was mortified! Whats worse is that when the director made his announcements he said to make sure that there was a clear path in front of the stage!!! We got really lucky that there were 2 seats in the front row that were empty so we just took it upon ourselves to sit there. I was fuming. If it were not for my husband talking me down & the play being one of my all time favorites, I would have demanded to get my money back. Word to the wise..make sure that your seats are actual seats before you pay for them!!! I paid $33 for seats that didnt even exist. I donwant tonsay that the actors/actresses did a fabulous job & if it wasnt for them, our anniversary date would have been a bust.
