A home frozen in time. Very well maintained and tastefully decorated to emulate the opulent lifestyle of its past residents. The ballroom is especially spectacular. The tour guide is knowledgeable and patient. Summer-time tours are restricted to the first three floors. Should visit in winter for a more comprehensive tour.

Preface, COVID-19 precautions are in place.Delightful tour of a historic mansion. Our guide was very informative and allotted enough time for each room. Of course restoration is ongoing during their current opening schedule so beware. Certain areas are closed off due to the season. Limited Tour group sizes and Parking available. I enjoyed it.

We really enjoyed seeing this beautiful house and a glimpse looking back in history. The painted wood work looks amazingly real and the large rooms on the first floor are incredible. The front doors are 12 feet be tall and weigh 500 pounds each. They are just the beginning of interesting features to see in this 7 story home. We enjoyed our tour with Logan. He shared lots of details and background information about the house and its former owners.

For venue people, like Epting Events, work area is tight but manageable. But beware transporting item to the kitchen! Small elevator does not accept Rubbermaid carts or similarly large items. When they say small, they mean small. But otherwise a great venue with wonderful history. Very helpful staff and very hospitable. Worth looking into.

I love visiting old homes and this one surpassed my expectations. Our guide was very informative and the house is amazing. Its technological amenities were unsurpassed in the mid-nineteenth century: hot and cold running water, central heat, a speaker-tube system connecting 15 rooms, a French lift equivalent to todays elevator, in-house kitchen, and an elaborate ventilation system. The amount of pocket doors is astounding!
