***Masks must be worn within 6 feet of others due to Covid19/Coronavirus***Beautiful wooded area with trails clearly marked & paper maps available at either entrance. However, be prepared to climb on rocky/gravel up a couple of steep hills to actually get to the elevation of the towers...however you have a beautiful pond & side trails you can take up/down instead of staying on the main dirt & rocky road - be careful of larger immovable rocks & tree roots on smaller trails though. This is great for all ages & levels of fitness - however take it slower for young or older...and for those with less physical capabilities, or you will get winded to say the least! I plan to go back & explore the other trails - but here are a few shots of the main road/path going up to the Stone Tower #1...and the Tower itself...and then some shots of the view thru the woods coming back down via the Richardson Path to the Cornel Path & out to the main road again...so as to make a loop!!
A nice place to visit, especially if you can get there when the door is open. Weekends only, during Summer, maybe...There is a park ranger who determines when the usually locked door to this tower is open. Look for a Lynn Woods Reservation web site to find out when the tower is unlocked. Great views from the top. Bring your binoculars and your drone. Be aware this tower sits atop a ~285 hill. There are unpaved, uneven roads and trails giving access to the tower. However no motor vehicles are allowed in Lynn Woods Reservation. Youll have to walk or take your mountain bike in. This area is popular with mountain bikers because of the rugged terrain and trails. Steel Tower is about 2000 WSW and there is a trail from one tower to the other. Steel tower has had the bottom most set of stairs removed. Steel tower is accessible to those who wish to climb it ..at their own risk. Ive done it.
Very cool stone structure. It wasnt open so couldnt go to the top lookout.
Interesting structure and views to the ocean and Boston
Lynn Reservation is a great place to go hiking for beginners all trails are easy a good place to train for the White Mountains.
Awesome place for short hiking, very pleasant environment in the woods, stone tower looks so beautiful there
Beautiful view, you can relax in the middle of the road and take some pictures but be careful with the hornets nest.
It was a wonderful place, I had a great time,
Surprisingly cool tower. Wish we could go inside
Its unbelievable. Who knew such a wonderful place existed in urban Lynn. Easy to moderate trails. Lots of fun.
It would be better if you could go all the way to the top. Also, dogs have trouble walking down the steep stairs. #DoggoDanger
Love it. Will come back very often!
Great views. The stairs getting to the top are in great shape (recently renovated).
Awesome place for short hiking!
A great short hike
Beautiful place for a walk and the view is amazing
Great tower, locked when we were there (~5:30pm), but still a very cool place to be, can see a bit of skyline from the stairs. Honestly surprised a tower like this is built among the woods!
Explorable. Historical. Enriched with mother nature.
Its locked
Wasnt open when I went but still a awesome sight
Not sure if it’s permanently closed or what but been here several times at different times of the day and it’s always closed. Don’t plan on it being open because there is no consistency.
The tower was closed. May be for the season. But, I went expecting to take some pictures from the Boston landscape with no lock.
Not much to do then walk 10 min then walk up to the top of the tower. Okay views from top.
Its a tower. Not much to review.
Some of the most amazing views you can get at the area. Almost looks unpopulated from that height with all those trees. Dont come for sunrise pictures though because its locked.
What a wonderful, fun visit. Great views!
Excellent hiking trail
After 60 years still worth the walk
Great walk!
One of the hidden gems of lynn.
Good hike
I like this place.
