I like the historical aspects of this place as well as the 174 steps it takes to get up here..The only down side (unfortunately) is that there were discarded hypodermic needles laying around, so I definitely will not go there near or after dusk.

Now that the trees have shed their leaves the views are more panoramic. Dress warmly and it does get windy up there.

The views are great from the base of the watchtower looking at Lynn and Nahant beach! The kids park is rundown though. The teens park is in better shape. It would be nice if they posted the hours when the watch tower is open. The area needs to be kept cleaner as the road, sidewalks, grass, and parks all had garbage strewn about them. The area could use a few more garbage cans nearer the play areas too.

I found this spot just walking around Lynn. Beautiful.

Love this place. Always see people cleaning up, which tells me theres alot of littering here unfortunately.

Excellent overlook towards the Boston skyline from the Northeast. Theres an observatory here as well, but it was closed when we recently visited. Theres also a playground for the kids.

I heard negative reviews in the past about homelessness but I went there around 8:45 p.m. for a walk Im visually impaired and felt really safe I was walking with a friend we were making a project by recording a video and it was really fun we didnt run into any issues or problems in fact the entire place was empty really good view of the city of Lynn

Fun place to hike

Nice during the day, but avoid at night unless there is an event.

The park is a lot more popular now; the long stairs on the side are used by many people to exercise or update their work out routine, the view is great specially on clear days. The tower and the play areas are visited frequently by families with younger children. The down side is the trash. Left by the kids and at night many teens, adolescents and adults who visit the park leave cigarettes, beer bottles, and other things. Every place has its ups and downs, you wont find the park messy all the time but you wont find it clean all the time either.

Has its own light show which is cool. Closes after dark.

I drive by every morning, and my little one begs me to stop here so we can go up the stairs all the way to the park up top. They have 2 little areas up there for the kids, one is nice the other one is kind of breaking down, just bad condition, the city should fix up the park a little since its right there with a historic tower. I have never been inside the actual tower, but I see that they have cetain dates you can email to reserve a spot to go in there, and they have a powerful telescope that can help you see Saturns rings, craters on the moon, stars and lots of interesting out of space stuff :) October 11th from 7pm to 9pm is the next date!♡

Theres a telescope & you can see planets on Wednesday nights. Omg its free and its awesome

I love the view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a family friendly park with lots of history. Frederick Douglass stayed at the cottage with Hutchinson Family Singers. This place should be a landmark.
