We used to love coming here especially when it first opened up. Good concert venue and atmosphere. However, it’s supposed to be a country bar and when I last came, the dj played 0 country songs after 10pm. Biggest dance floor in Lubbock, yet it’s seemingly not used for country dancing. We came for country dancing and there’s plenty of other places we could go to if we wanted “clubbing” music and stupid loud base music. They apparently do this Thursday’s and Friday’s, so Saturday’s are the only days to come for country dancing.

We often visit here for our kids concert organised by School of Rock and like this place. Spacious and perfect place for organising events here:)

Pretty sure the bartender was dishonest with prices of drinks. i understand $10 minimum for cards but i got 2 drinks at $5 each and he still made me buy another drink after that to make it over $15.

Tonight there was a bartender in a striped shirt. That’s my best rendition of who she is. Anyway, I got 1 beer a shiner that was I believe $4.50. She told me my card was declined so I checked my account on my phone though I know it’s impossible for me to get declined on that low of a charge. I told her to run it again and I’d pay with cash if it continued the issues. She didn’t run it again and insisted that it was declined. So my father in law who happened to be beside me paid with a 5. She threw my card at me and insisted that I don’t come to a bar if I don’t have money. So I went to the atm at charley bs and got 20 dollars cash back. Amazing how it was suddenly working. I gave the 20 dollar tip to her and asked her to reconsider who she assumes to be poor. I don’t come to a bar to be considered poor. I strongly advice you train your bartenders correctly in customer service.

Youll have a better time at Chances R. A year ago this place was great. But now its incredibly disappointing. I agree with the reviewer that said dont go on Fridays. The DJ finished up around 1:30am and the establishment decided to turn on the lights and stop playing music... do you really need 30 minutes to shoo out the very few people you had left? This is why youre failing at creating any normal clientele. My friends and I agree that this is no longer a place to consider on youre nights out.

Don’t come on a Friday, the DJ is terrible. Every other night is amazing, just don’t expect to hear country music or even a decent mix of songs on a Friday.

Awful awful awful place. There’s no crowd control what so ever. The bouncers are very rude. Had to leave to take a phone call and he wouldn’t let me back in. It was an emergent phone call. That policy needs to change. There was a certain bar tender there that wasn’t exactly customer friendly. Not going back.

Last night of 2018, my family and I decided on Charley Bs. If we wanted to sleep right through the count down we wouldve stayed home. And no, not that their count down into the new year was boring or lame, THERE WAS NO COUNT DOWN!!The band was on break at midnight which gave management ample time for count down. So Charley Bs did you notice the bar at 12:15ish? Damn near empty!

Came here last night for my bachelorette party with my girls. We were all having a blast until we came here and the door man let all of us in until he got to the last girl and accused her of being too intoxicated and wouldn’t let her in. She has a bubbly and goofy personality which I guess also means she’s drunk? Even though she really didn’t have all that much too drink. We were all just in really good moods as we should have been because we were celebrating. We all traveled to be able to have a good time for me and this dude ruined our night. It was truly ridiculous. Oh and he also checked all of our IDs at least 4 times as if they were fake. I understand it’s his job but the door man was extremely rude to all of us and acted as if we were bothering him. Next time I’m in Lubbock I will NOT be back. So shout out to the douche bag with little man syndrome on a power trip for ruining my night. Your a peach.

Love this place! Easy to get to and the owner is always very helpful if I have a question. Great drinks and seating and the dance floor is a good size.Always has something going on for his customers

It was the night before thanksgiving and they had bad service! They need to hire more help and more respectful workers! I have money in my pocket treat me with some dignity!

We love this place. It is huge inside, tons of bars so not a long wait time for drinks. Staff is friendly but doesnt typically let the crowd get too crazy. Really great setup too!

Its still has the new paint smell when you walk in. Its NO smoking allowed which is awesome!Open Thursday - Saturday night. Happy hour from 7 pm- 9pm.Very nice place to come for dancing and hanging out with friends without going home to wash the smoke out of your cloths.

They play absolutely no country music!! The old dj played at least some! The new guy plays only rap and hip hop music.

Waited 30+ minutes at one of the smaller beer stands- bartenders are in no hurry to take your order or make drinks. When I finally got to the counter, the bartender walked away to take a shot with his friends who were standing off to the side. Paid $33 for 6 beers! Ridiculous! Went to another stand because the line was a little shorter, but wait time the same. This time, this bartender was obviously drunk and when I asked about the slow service, he told me I could go to another bar. Rude bartenders, overpriced drinks, and this establishment obviously lets them drink while on the job. Will not recommend this place or go back.

Way to many people at the Cody Johnson concert then there should have been. There was absolutely no way to get relatively close to the stage. I will not be back for live music, the set up is miserable. Furthermore, even though I had purchased tickets prior to arrival I had to wait outside for over an hour and then evey bar line was at least 30 minutes long. This place seems to care more about profit then its customer service.

The DJ is a creep.Also, my friend and I each got one drink but they charged her twice for them.Wonder if they did that on purpose.

The dance floor has been dirty every time we have come. And the dj is less than accommodating to the type crowd that is trying to dance. If we wanted tejano music we would come on Wednesday.

Don’t expect what is pictured, it’s dirty and everything is sticky! Upon entrance the staff was rude and unhelpful at best, drink orders forgotten on several occasions! I was carded and almost all I observed were, at the front area, towards the back of the building where concerts are held I watched several young women with the teen “X” being supplied by older goers, I lost all respect for the establishment at this moment I voiced my concern and shock to the manger and was told “ you can catch some but there’s always a few that sneak better than others”. Will not be back I pray underage drinking is taken ore serious charley bs

Hardly ever play country music to dance to. Use to love to go on Thursday nights but the DJ sucks and they started charging for 21+. Wild West was so much better, such a shame.

My name is Dakota Bradley, I dont have a account so Ill have to use my fathers... my husband and I went out to Charley Bs last night.... An this was our experience...They drew all over my hands which still wont come off, second it took FOREVER for my husband and friends to get any drink even though there was no one there... they just ignored them when they wanted a drink. An then at 1:20 right before they were about to close I came out of the bathroom to go back to my friends and husband by the pool tables and a guy came up An asked me to leave because I was drinking.... I came out and sat in front of my husbands beer which he just bought and hadnt even touched yet. I was nice and said I hadnt drank it, I just came out the bathroom and he said well I saw you do it, so you need to leave I was mad but they were about to close so I got up and walked out... but what made it even worse was that I was super nice but they had to bring EVERY guy working that night over to escort me out....

The DJ is far too focused on Tejano music and hip hop/rap on thursdays. Play some more Texas country, that’s what we’re here for

Great atmosphere, love the dance floor but would love to see more tejano music on a weekend night. Friday or Saturday. I go from time to time on Wednesday but have to be at work relatively early in the morning on Thursday or Id be out there more frequently. Would like to see this change in the very near future. I live on the same side of town where Charlie Bs is located but currently I have to drive clear across town to go dancing tejano on Friday and Saturdays.

Got off work around 10 and met up with my husband and friends. They were selling really cheap drinks and my husband tipped the bartender a 5 dollar bill which was way more then our drinks were even adding up to but he didnt have a tab so he was just paying in cash. He went back to get us refills and bartender said she refused to serve him because he wasnt tipping. Totally wrong and ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager, he knew exactly who I was talking about on which bartender and he said he would talk to her. He then goes over to her and tells her and they both start laughing. What the heck. Terrible service. Never wanna go here again!

Great environment, good music, Excellent service that exceeds expectations. Very big size place I would recommend this pace for a night out.

Worst DJ in the history of music..

Wish I could put lower than 1 star. Worst experience ever. Management wasnt prepared for Randy Rogers band. Waited 2 hours to pay out tab after giving up on getting a drink.

Last night was the last straw for me. Normally I have a great time but last night was terrible from the start.When I first got there, I was questioned about my I.D. because in my picture I didnt have blond hair.Then as me and the people I was with were having a good time minding our own business, multiple staff came up and asked my boyfriend if he was okay and that he needed to stop drinking.After that, he was drinking water and still not causing any scene or doing anything stupid. I went to go get a shot for me and my friend along with a water. Well when I came back to the table the bouncers said my boyfriend needed to leave. He was than escorted out for no reason when he was respectful of there decision.Moral of the story is NEVER go to this place unless you want to be kicked out for no reason!!

Over charged my credit card. Tab should of been less than $10, got charged $40.

Don’t know how this place stays in business. Went there this past Saturday night, the place is dead with nobody dancing, also the band quits playing at 10:30. Not sure it’s worth the $10 Cover Charge.

Fun atmosphere but doesnt really attract the younger crowd.

DJ played the same 4 songs within a 30 min time span. Then asked for tips. Terrible.
