Nice gallery with local artists on display. Inside is the Firehouse theater for plays and musical performances. I even had a friend get married there. This is the center for the First Friday Art Trail that occurs the first friday of the month. Worth checking out if you like art.

First Friday of the month is THE place to be. Modern touches to old buildings, eclectic art in every form imaginable. The food here is great. Every taco truck imaginable here. From Ramen made to order, BBQ, pizza and even dessert trucks. Did I also mention they have alcohol for us grown folk? You can get it all here. Welcome all ages of peeps.

The LHUCA is an epicenter for arts and culture in West Texas. Because of one womans drive to support the arts and Lubbocks response to fuel her passion, First Friday is now a regular attraction for hundreds and thousands of cultured Texans. Month by month LHUCA anchors the area that welcomes the Buddy Holly Center for the Performing Arts and Sciences and surround developments. Thank you, Louise Hopkins Underwood! Your kind spirit lives on in constant creativity.

Well this certainly was a an experience I will never forget. I went to the camp and made a lot of new friends I will never forget and things I saw that I will never get out of my head. I went to the camp and it was great we got to do a lot of art and all of that fun stuff I highly recommend going to the camp if you dont have anything to do for the summer.

March is the beginning of Youth Art Month, my students were recognized for their wonderful accomplishment. The gallery display and reception was excellent as usual. This is a wonderful place to support the Arts.

Wonderful art trails and fun for all ages

Had a great experience at the centre! Had one of my favourite date there and I would strongly recommend couples to have that same opportunity! I love the multiculture there! Some great artworks!

My boys and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the displays at the First Friday Art Trail. Lubbock has done well to support this gallery especially. Its one of my favorite places. The artists chosen to exhibit here are unique!

Ive been here many times for the Art Trail and Everytime I go the art is very nice and the atmosphere is open and cool. Overall the structure of the building as well as the quality of the art is worth the 10-20 minutes if you got time to spare.

Wonderful gallery that showcases and promotes local artists in Lubbock. It is the hub of the First Friday Art Trail (you guessed it, the first Friday evening of every month). Thousands of people come out, there are food trucks and live music. Super cool!

This is one of the places in town that make Lubbock great. The arts in this town are so underappreciated and LHUCA shines as a beacon for great art, food, music, and community. Love First Friday Art Trails. If you havent been to one before you are missing out!

While I enjoyed the art, I was there to see a performance by the Lubbock Community Theatre. The auditorium is not very large, so while all the seats are good, it can sell out quickly. The front-row seats are level with the stage; you wont be looking up if you choose them, so they are great for folks with visual difficulties. The front row is also wheelchair accessible.The galleries are also good if, like me, you want to get in some walking during intermission. They are quite roomy, so combined with the smaller audience, I didnt have any problems getting in my 250 steps.

This is the BEST place to find art in Lubbock, particularly during the First Friday Art Trail, held the first Friday of every month!

LCTs (Lubbock Community Theater) wonderful musicals deserve a better sound system.

Came out for the First Friday Art Trail, lots of people and art to enjoy. My favorite artists this month were all local students. Well worth going out and enjoying the culture that lubbock does have to offer!

I really love the way this gallery is set up. The exposed brick walls, metal walls geometric windows and bright colors make the art stand out. There were many abstract pieces but also very stunning realistic pieces. They did well curating this place!

We love the art trail and we are thankful to have an event that is family friendly and outdoors! Thank you LHUCA!

The Icehouse is a nice space for events such as theatrical plays. We have attended several events here and have always had a good time. The space is wide open and should be able to fit any needs that you may have. We will be returning here again and again.

Attended the LHCA recently for their FIRST FRIDAY ART CRAWL. Highly recommended. Beautiful venue. Small, homey. They served beer and wine. There is a concert hall with music and separate halls with large contemporary art.

We attended a musical here and loved it. Wonderful theatre space and we were able to browse a variety of local art before the show. Great space.

Many of the artists who show their work there are indoctrinated leftists but the gallery itself is great!

Love the First Friday Art Trail. They have great food trucks with many options to choose from, ranging from burgers, street tacos, and desserts. The displayed art was wonderful. The FFAT is a great event with plenty of exhibits to enjoy. Definately something for all age ranges.

This place is the best! The clay options are wonderful, the wheels are brand new and there a lot of them. I love the artists who throw here because they are so helpful. I have never seen quite this environment at any other clay studio! You will not be disappointed.

This place is the hub of the arts in Lubbock, with lots of community events, especially the First Friday Arts Trail, where they always host an event. Weve also been to poetry readings and other guest speakers there and it is really one of the nicest venues in the Hub City.

Spent hours here during first Friday, there was something for children and adults alike. Large sketch canvases were placed in a hallway where visitors could use crayons, colored pencils and cut out magazine pieces to make a public art collage. It was so much fun! I was blown away by pieces from the professional artists, some pieces are 4x4 foot canvas with lots of intricate details! Come support your local exhibit :)

The cornerstone of contemporary art in Lubbock, the LHUCA is an active collection of galleries with a black box theater. I recommend checking out it out during First Fridays if you havent.

The 1st Friday art trail is the best place to be for art, music, and meeting people. Grab a bite to eat from a selection of food trucks, wine or beer for refreshment, deserts for those with a sweet tooth, and mingle with a great crowd.

A centerpiece of Lubbock culture and a beacon of the local art community. Definitely check it out on the first Friday evening of the month, thats when most galleries display new art and the trolley runs you to them for free.

The gallery is always offering fantastic events for the entire Lubbock community and one of their biggest events, the First Friday Art Trail, is the best going to do every first Friday of the month. Every seat is a good seat.
