Fantastic quarry in the middle of a neighborhood that was converted to a swimming pool. Must be sponsored by a certificate member to be able to join the club. Be prepared for lots and lots of rules you have to follow. Swim lessons, a gym, an instructional pool, a lake, diving boards including a high dive, concession stand, grills, tables, chairs provided, kiddie pool, olympic swimming athletes trained here.
Great place, very clean, great management, and so many options! Options include a heated pool, two lakes, one deep and the other not, a kiddie pool, two lap lanes one huge and the other small, a rafting area (large), and two diving boards, one tall and the other short. They also have a sauna, and a workout room. The food is excellent, and they have seating areas everywhere. They even have a balcony.
What do you call a group of Karens? Lakeside Swim Club. elitism at its finest. This shouldnt even be listed in a search for available swimming spots since you have to know someone to be invited and even if you purchase a home in thee neighborhood you have to be vetted by a certificate member. If you rent a home in the neighborhood you are out of luck as well. My POC friend rented a house inside the geographical boundaries and were refused membership.
Always a great swim at Lakeside! Clean, water is a good temperature, friendly staff. Love this place and have for many years.
First time visit and it was great. A unique swimming experience!
Did not personally go inside I think you have to have a membership the area of the swimming pool is in is a nice neighborhood great location most definitely want to check it out one day I drive past it all the time
This was such a geart place to go swimming! Huge pools and great community!
Daughter went their with her girlscout troop. She had a great time.
Fun place but way to difficult to be able to go
Very fortunate to be part of such a neat place.
I have gone to thus place for so long its like a second home! I Love it so much!
One of the best swimming pools ever! Large pool, great variety of depths and activities. Must have membership in order to swim here, which can only be attained by knowing someone who lives around the pool. Parking is a bit of a challenge, street parking only, but side streets are shaded with lots of trees, so the walk isnt that bad. We always have a blast at Lakeside!
A fantastic private swim club. Beautiful rocks and gardens and Ill certainly stay on my uncles good side so that I can visit again.
Always a treat to be a guest here. This pool is rich in tradition among the neighborhood. So much energy as you drive around looking for a parking spot.So many children making lifelong memories at this beautiful, scenic place.Enjoying my labor day weekend soaking up the sun.
Partially closed by virus.
This is the greatest swimming pool in America. I highly recommend swimming here. It is clean, safe, and fun for the whole family. Parking can be a bit difficult and hard to come by, but it is absolutely worth it once you are there.
Great place to swim and spend a day
Most Life Guards are mean i jumped off the 1 stair above the blue line (where you can jump from) and got sat out for 30 minutes without any warning. My friend came to tell me when we were leaving and the life guard yelled DO YOU WANT TO SIT WITH HIM NOW GO AWAY AND STOP TALKING TO HIM without saying it nice.
Large enough it never feels crowned. Facility is clean, well maintained and inviting. The staff is helpful and friendly. Great activities scheduled throughout the summer months to keep you busy in and out of the water.
Great little swimming hole with lots of history. Membership is required. Great family atmosphere with lots of things to do. Also has some basketball courts, yoga studio and a gym.
Went there with my kids to go swimming and Young man by the name of Garrett was very helpful and courteous.
Although it can be difficult to find a sponsor to become a member, it is worth the effort. My family absolutely loves Lakeside and it is one of the reasons I moved to this part of town. It contributes to the great quality of life in the Highlands.
Great experience, water refreshing.
A truly unique and exceptional poolside experience. Great atmosphere. My grandson loves swimming at Lakeside whenever he comes to town, (11 years old), so its kid friendly in every way!
Awesome setting, escape to what feels miles away from town... but in the heart of it all.
Great neighborhood swim club. Love the old quarry ambiance mixed with the swim club enhancements. A Highlands original gem!
Coolest, one of a kind lake sized swimming pool, very clean, great life guards, awesome members. Love the 50 meter lanes, bull pen, ice cube island, water basketball, water volleyball and the secret garden.
The best pool in town! Cant wait for warmer weather!
The best spot to lay out at during a hot summer day. Lots of people, beautiful quarry, and a large area to swim.
Great place very nice people im glad to be a member
Great place to swim and hang out.
Excellent place to relax. Great staff.
Amazing swimming pool and fitness facility. Membership is limited to specific nearby homeowners and people/families that they sponsor. The pool is an old limestone quarry that has been converted to traditional chlorinated pool water.
One of a kind.
Best pool in the Highlands. Large swimming areas, nice gym, and a steam room. You must be, or know a member to get in.
Great place. Clean and inexpensive food.
Hard to get a membership, but the kids grew up there and we hang out there every summer.
Excellent setting. Found people extremely freidly
Elitism is often considered purely a liberal tool. It turns out that red-state kentucky is no exception. The Initiation fee is $800. The Annual fee is $935 for a family of four. My family were members of the Austin Yacht Club for 10 years. The initiation fee there was only $300. This kind of obscene pricing is simply shameful.
Awesome environment and very polite people and staff. We always have a great time there.
Looking fwd to summer! Home away from home!
Neat place to swim but you have to know someone to get in.
A highlands gem, tucked away in the neighborhood. Great family-friendly swim club you have to see to believe.
Great place for swimming and water walking right in the neighborhood. Only bad thing is the lack of parking.
If youre lucky enough to get a membership, enjoy it!
A relaxing experience, coming back for sure
Very nice swimming pool - great location in the Highlands.
Love this place!!!. Wouldnt swim anywhere else.
Amazing place have not found another place like it.
There are swimming pools and there is lakeside. One mild criticism they need to be more attentive to the lap swimming members during tryouts and swim meets. Lanes are hard to come by and members designated lap lanes are frequently in use by swim meet or tryout people.
Best swimming pool I have been to. Sadly I dont live near by so I have to go with my friends.
Very great way to spend the summer days
Pristine! Must know a member to swim.
Beautiful pool love the bubble in the winter & the sauna!
Its an ok.place, the membership fee is high and you have to have a certificate member.nomimate you. Hard to find a seat on weekends.
Best place ever
Women are beautiful
Great having pool in my backyard.
Just like I remember from my childhood.
Its a private swim club for the neighborhood.
Can get crowded arrive early
Its huge, clean, and all around awesome.
Lakeside is definitely the best pool in town..
Unique pool with all the amenities.
The pool is huge!
You can wear sandles here and there are no sharks in their pool.
Beautiful place. Grew up @ the house in the picture.
Great place for the family.
So much fun
I could tell you, but....

Perfect. As always.
