Hey its Tommys & if U dont know, theres where you go & find out, but if you do know then, then Classics are made there Tommys is one of the Great Hamburgers places of All time as far as burgers places go. Checkem out.
Pretty cool venue with multiple theaters for various uses. We were there for a dance showcase and the theater we were in was comfortable, with good lights and sound.
Very nice interior in the room. I parked in the parking lot and got a discount at the box office. Very polite and nice people working in this studio. We really liked the performance. In the near future we plan to go for a new performance.
Very beautiful building and great service. The shows are also of top quality. Im excited to go back for another play.
This is the home of so much great theatre, in a historic building. Love working here and seeing theatre.
Very nice people working in the front... ticket office, security, etc. Nice venue. Park in building for $10 but get validated at ticket office and get $5 off. Located in downtown LA. After the show go visit La Perlas in walking distance for delicious drinks, food and music.
Best Theater in town, very high seats, still a great view. Don’t come if you have knee issues to the top or vertigo, you may go down.
I loved the place will visit again
Nice theater, clean and spacious. The bathrooms needed service, but in general it was a good experience.
Very nice place inside.. clean bathrooms, wide lobby. Friendly staff..
I love this theater. It is just amazing to me. And meeting the actors after the films or plays makes it even a more intimate affair. Loved taking pictures and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I truly felt quite at home.
Fun theater in the historic core that has been used as the background for many famous tv shows. Its a fun date night spot but be cautious in the late evening hours of the bums around the neighborhood.
Beautiful inside but outside should be cleaned up better perductions and more advertisement
Beautiful facility. The building has so much history. We attended a movie night and found a parking lot close to the theater and felt safe the entire time. Even in the very late night. Plenty of places to grab a bite.
Great venue in dowtown LA. Enjoyed Birdland Blue, a play set in New Yorks Birdland club about Miles Davis and his troupe running through May 12. The audience serves as club patrons while the actors perform on various stages around the intimate room. (Language is a bit rough; probably not suitable for young children.)
One of the best theatrical arts theatres anywhere. I love this place. This organization strives to be #1.
Well its were go to church every sunday.
It was nice and cosy.
THIS IS THE HOME OF LA CITY CHURCH (Downtown site!). This is an Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church. Their preaching and worship were biblical and challenging and their friendliness and inclusion was genuine and contagious! THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
These days its been raining and you can hear some leaks inside somewhere.I can tell its an old theatre but nice. I go often they have a variety of events and Sundays morning they have Christian church.Just be careful with its corners since homless use it as bathroom. No parking. You have to park behind the theatre and they charg you about $13dlls
Mother of Henry was one of the best plays I have ever seen.
Latina Christmas Special was thrilling, funny, sweet, endearing, and a little crazy.... Truly the very best thing Ive seen in years. Three top-shelf actresses, and directed by the insightful Geoffrey Rivas.
It is a small and very simple theater
Still Standing, a great stage play
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING......LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW
Enjoyed Birdland Blue tonight! They were amazing!
Clean place, great atmosphere and performances are well variated. enjoy coming here a lot!
Great place to see live intimate theater.
Amazing space always hosting great shows.
I visited this place 3 days ago and I just love it. I recommend going but just make sure the play is also kid friendly if you are taking children under 13
They have all kinds of things going on there you have to cheek it out for your self to see if its has what you are looking for it changes and do diffrent kind of things you or eny wone would injoy.
The talent, the variety of plays, the place itself, the company directed by Luis Valenzeula, the acting, the writing and the outside plays they get in are all outstanding. Its huge and beautiful. Several plays go on at the same time.
Lucked into a visit during art walk. Live reggae drum/rap/wild electric guitar band with African folk style dance. Get your hand stamped at the bar so you can use the bathroom downstairs!
Its a really beautiful space. Its downtown so no free parking.
Yo I did a back ground here so that was cool .

The Los Angeles Theatre Center is the location where New City Church holds their Sunday morning church services. My first impression upon entering the theatre was that I was not impressed about the lobby. I was expecting a church so all I saw was a church setting; meaning the decor was similar to several church lobbies I entered during my lifetime. The ticket booth which was behind closed curtains reminded me that this was a theatre. As a SMALL church in downtown L.A., the art deco somewhat old decor just reminded me of a very local, grass roots type of church. But as a theatre, I felt the place then catered to people who paid to be entertained by off the beaten path, local artists.Service was held downstairs. The carpet was old throughout. The sound system was set up in chairs sectioned off in the back. I was looking at the wooden cross on stage which made me think of a prop just pulled out from behind the curtains. The musical artists leading the songs during that part of worship looked like they were playing their own instruments. Visual affects were displayed on the concrete wall which made up the stage. The chairs were on tiers. Again, the carpet looked old and worn. Even getting up on stage was accessed by stairs that looked like one chunk of wood shaped to stairs and that huge piece of wood was movable allowing access to the stage suitable to meet the needs of the people having to climb up on the stage. I enjoyed the service so I returned on several occasions then I stopped due to work. But work changed again so I have recently returned to New City Church services and found them in another part of the building. Instead of going downstairs to church, we now enter services on the same level as the lobby. This theatre has a balcony for the audience where the downstairs theatre did not have a balcony section. Again, the carpet is old, the sound crew sets up in closed off chairs and the visual aspects are still viewed on the concrete wall.I was unaware a theatre can have so many mini theatres in one building. So I am disappointed in that aspect. I just did not feel I was in a place where I would come to enjoy a play. I think of theatres as places where you dress up for a special occasion especially if I am going downtown. But L.A. downtown is not like Chicagos downtown.Amyway, I am certain this theatre caters to a different clientele that I am just not familiar. A more budget conscious audience seeing their favorite local talents performing at this location is what I envision happens here. I am not certain so call the facility for further information. BTW, parking is validated and you can park across the street. I live 5 minutes away so I walk. Spring Street is accessible by public transportation city bus services.
