Awesome vibe, good staff, and wonderful music. I really enjoy these 3 benefits right here in this club, and Im grateful because the liquors are really good. The crowd as well really pumps me up and makes me dance into the dance floor thoroughly. The experience was really lit, and I would like to do it again by the next time. THANKS!
Ive only been to Sound Nightclub once (so far!), but I can already highly recommend this place. I felt at home in the humble yet festively decorated front room, and I enjoyed the lively, laid-back vibe. Good music, mellow people.
Sound Nightclub is amazing! We got a table outside for my friends 24th birthday and they took incredible care of us! From the bottle service, to the music, to the generosity of the staff (Sarah in particular)- we had a super night! Id recommend Monroe to anyone tryna have as crazy or chill of a night you want :)
Food. Good. Drinks..Awesome!!!! I really do not understand why other bars do not put ginger juice in their drinks because it dances on your tongue. Dont even ask me how to pronounce the drink i had but it has Vodka, ginger juice and cranberry juice. Buy this drink. Drink this drink.
Great sound system. Excellent dj line up all the time. Security had a bit of an attitude problem. A few seats for us regular non VIP folks would be nice. I took advantage of the toilet seat covers in the bathroom so i could get a break from several hours on the feet. Late night hot food snack menu available.
I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of this restaurant. Its a nice place to come on a warm day or night with a cocktail because it has an adorable patio area. It includes a unique menu that is portioned well and the staff are very friendly. I came here for DineLA (only $15!!) and ordered the Cactus and Salmon, I was pleased with both dishes.
Gorgeous place! Great drinks! Great music! Friendly, helpful, andprofessional staff! A little loud for my taste but otherwise great place for a party. Most important for me is that its wheelchair accessible.
Great club. Music is different from all the other clubs in Hollywood. If you like electronic music and dancing this is the place to be.
This place is very nice and professional! Reminds me of Vegas. 1st time going here and I loved it. It took me 5 minutes to get in. Drinks are well priced, and theres 3 bars to choose from so you dont have to wait long for your drink. Both DJs are really good and keeps you on the dance floor. This place is lit...definitely coming back.
First I would like to say to Erin from table service reservation who work here Thank You for the best night ever at Club dB lounge! I would give this place ten more stars just because of Erin! Club dB lounge security and rest of staff were professionals and welcoming. I had a great time in both rooms, great music, great service and amazing vibes! If your ever wanting to go out and enjoy yourself in a group or just by yourself please go to Club dB lounge. I rate this club 10/10 hands down better than any club Ive been to in California. Thank you again Club dB Lounge for an amazing day night, but honestly thank you Erin for unforgettable memories and by far the best night ever! Thank you again!
This place is seriously fun!Its a museum for grown-ups and there are so many things to see that youll feel overwhelmed. They have a total of 6 galleries and youll need to be diligent to get through all of them.Come here with friends and families and everyone will have a blast. They also have a pretty cool restaurant with live music with DJ built right inside the space so you can eat without leaving the premise.
The food was amazing. We tried 2 chicken dishes and a few cocktails. Very happy with this place!
Smash Up Derby rocked my socks! Their closing mash-up of Paradise City and Sgt. Peppers kicked bootie! The people were friendly, and the mash-ups were great! It would have been nice to have a bit of room on the dance floor to actually dance, but kudos to A Plus D for putting on one hell of a party! (The goth off was too funny!)
Awesome vibe, great staff, and wonderful music. I really enjoy these 3 benefits right here in this club, and Im grateful because the liquors are really good. The crowd as well really pumps me up and makes me dance into the dance floor thoroughly. The experience was really lit, and I would like to do it again by the next time. THANKS!
$20 cover and cash only drinks make Bootie an expensive option. However there are four floors with different lounges and different vibes. If you need a break from a large crowd, you can easily slip into a secluded lounge. There are only two bathrooms and both are pretty nasty. Theres a weekly burlesque show - a must see.
Great drunken times are to be had here! A group of friends came this summer, and I danced my bootie off for sure. Fabulous music (love the Backstreet Boys mashup). I liked the 2 stages for dancing. Place is packed which gives it such a fun vibe!
Bootie has been my #1 dance outlet for 3 years. Nobody does music like they do! The midnight shows are excellent, ranging from live performances of the mash ups to burlesque shows to circus acts. The crowd is, generally speaking, totally normal, dance friendly people (as opposed to clubs where you get creeped on all the time). If I ever move to a city that doesnt have Bootie, I will be a sad, sad person.
Splashy DJ-fueled club with rotating art installations, bottle service & street-food-inspired bite
Unplanned fun is one of the best funs and after one thing led to another it was starting to get fun and i ended up across the street from here with my buddy devouring a crepe when we saw all these santas in line and had to cross and get in line and go. Didnt let down. Fun band, easy going crowd all into the music, great fun really-real mashups by the band (and by the DJ, too, afterwards), fun dancin crowd to blend into, little absinthe bar was cute. Was the first holiday-theme party i was at this year and all those santas and mashups of xmas songs kinda almost made me feel xmasy besides from just cold. Just wish they took something other than cash.
After a family event, my family and I headed here to relax. The parking situation wasnt the best, but we managed to find a spot about 2 blocks away underneath the overpass.
#1 Best Nightclub in LA. Best Sound quality, best tech house around. Cool outdoor smoking patio. Patrons are pretty chill and mostly cool people. Multiple bars inside and you never have to wait long to order a drink. Highly Recommend.
Unfortunately Mark Knight wasn’t that good... but the club had its own flair, not do luxurious or snobby and also not trashy. Location is perfect. (Jana from Germany)
Do not recommend. Oversold, overpaid, overbooked. Do not care about their fans. If you want to see a show while paying 60 dollars a drink this is the place for you.
THE best nightclub if youre actually going to hear the music. They have tables, and stuff. Have changed their layout over the years. However the sound quality and general crowd that goes there is MUCH better than any other club in LA/Hollywood/Westside.
Really not worth the cost of a ticket or cover. The venue is small enough that you will feel crowded the whole time and bumped into, the drinks are expensive with semi rude bartenders, and when I bought 2 pizzas and asked if he could hold them for me he actually only gave me one. Don’t bother going.
This place consistently has great talent. Ive seen many of my favorite Djs here. Great sound system too
It was a minute from amazing social night clubs and minutes from other destinations. Amazing views and amazing staff !
I knew a guy who came here wearing white pants. White. Pants... just let that soak in for a minute. He ended the night with a shoe print on his thigh. The entire bottom of someones shoe was imprinted on his thigh. How do you ask? Well, if you havent been, then you will quickly find out. Thats the kind of wickedness you can expect here.
Disappointed that we waited over an hour in line only to be next in line and they tell us that theyre not selling anymore tickets. Security ignored me when I asked about how much longer was the wait. I was upset we wasted our time in line
*** As a White straight Male Solo review ****Went to check out this place because I was in the neighborhood, and here is what I found:1. On Saturday nights: Its $35 entry fee, no wristband, no stamp, aka no re entry.2. It is repetitive House music, the same beat in and out. If youre on ecstasy it would be decent, if youre not, trust me, it blows.3. The overall ratio from men to women, is absolutely the worst. You will see about 100 guys to 2 girls. Only come here if youre heavily into music.4. They offer food inside, pizza with $1 per topping, $5 per slice. Bit expensive for my taste.Ill be stopping by other places within the area and Ill keep you posted.Overall, on my personal review, this is the 1st and last time Ill be coming here, not my type of scene.
Always a good time at The Sound. Awesome artists, great lights and sound!
Great club. Music is different from all the other clubs in Hollywood. If you like electronic music and dancing this is the place to be.
George is the worse bouncer Ive seen in LA this year, somewhat insecure about his job but really there is no need to be a prick! people paid good money to stand in the cold night waiting to get in and dance!!!!! Money you are paid hourly for!!. Awful attitude super childish grow up its LA we all work hard while you stand there being macho thats not the right job for you while you wait to be a B list actor... dont work with people man seriously.Even thought we all are on the artists list he refused to let us in because were not on the list...we showed him the emails confirming we are for the artist list. We had to leave after 30 mins argument. Next morning I got to talk to the artists manager saying we were def put on the list by him!!!. Super UNPROFESSIONAL, EXPENSIVE, CROWDED... but the worse for a business is BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place will not be cool forever and people will be tired of being ripped off and disrespected. Get a new crew and get your shit together sound!!!!
THE best nightclub if youre actually going to hear the music. They have tables, and stuff. Have changed their layout over the years. However the sound quality and general crowd that goes there is MUCH better than any other club in LA/Hollywood/Westside.
Their heat tech line is the best! They got classic songs!
A good club for downtown CA . It had a good mix of ppl and the drinks were good too. I like that they have different music upstairs and downstairs
What an amazing time here, the music is awesome the staff is friendly the drink prices are reasonable. It’s always a great place for me and my friends to hang out when we get the chance to get out and about. Great night club, definitely recommend it
Sound Nightclub is an amazing host and the hospitality of the club is also great. They have served their best whenever we have wanted to step in for drinks.
After I heard already a lot positive about SOUND Nightclub I finally made it. Saw KASKADE headlining and excellent supporting DJ that night. It was a blast. Very good sound, kind and peaceful atmosphere and winning personal/ service people. Also pricing for cocktails and drinks are fair. Will definitely go again. A well managed nightclub and a must have in LA.
Good music grate coustumer service
On Saturday Feb 9th we decided to go here for the first time, me my girl and her friend everything was fine until 12:30am I was coming back from bathroom to join my girl and her friend on the dance floor, it was crowded I had kind of trouble passing through but I was trying, it was no problem until a short fat security guy on the dance floor turned on his flashlight and pointed out the other way for me to go but I said my friends are there and I wanna join them he wasnt listening and keep pointing with his flashlight the other way so I was cooperating then another security guy came he whispered him something and the other security guy was escorting me outside and they were actually kicking me out of the Club accusing me of touching girls, COME ON DUDE SERIOUSLY??? no one listens to you they were actually kicking me out, lm a well mannered parson did not want to make a seen since no one is listening after they take my money $135 for three people I end up leaving the club, it was my first time there I would never ever go there again and Guys watch out if the dont like you for some reason they will kick you out for no reason they accuse you of doing something to make room for other people to collect their moneyTons of people inside and still tons waiting outside to get in so they have kick some people out I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYBODY
Dance floor setup is nightmare. Dark unlite stairs. People constant tripping. They sell the place out to maximum capacity. So if you like getting pushed off the stairs by security when theres no where to move youll REALLY enjoy this place. No heaters outside when its cold. Nice bar setup tho.
Bored u can’t enjoy there they don’t have too many people there i guess nobody like to come over this is my first time I don’t like at oll
Best dance club Ive been too! You meet interesting people, and the shows and music are fantastic!!! This place also serves great drinks which are a plus. Just please travel in a group if you are attending. Like any club, there may be creepers. Party safe and have fun!
Not a bad place, but was misidentified as someone who vomited and they kicked me out... which was sortof funny, but not a particularly great.
Very nice place. I love it. Recommend!
Always have a great time at Sound! Music is very techno oriented, so Id like to say its not for everyone. Restrooms are clean and lines for it are never long. They recently transformed their outside patio to a nice relaxing lounge type spot. About a total of four bars, and nicely spaced. Intimate dance floor, which I enjoy, but will admit it can get packed at times for a really great show. Entrance is always super easy and a breeze if you buy your tickets before hand.
Drove 30 miles came at 1:17 am and the guy in front said it’s closed ?
Its always a pleasure to see a show here
The interior detail of the club is stunningly beautiful. Everywhere you look has had specific flawless design work. The door people are somewhat stone faced, but that may be the persona and part of the decor. I saw Doc Martin. The crowd was delicious. Sexy girls and pretty boys of all kinds. Sound system was wonderful. Courtyard complete with Pepper tree.. this is LA nightlife.
Sound might be my favorite nightclub venue in LA / Hollywood. Any house / techno lover will feel right at home here. The layout of the venue is well thought out as overcrowding is rarely an issue. Smoking patio outside is a good size and 2 bathrooms on opposite sides mean very little wait. Their monthly Night Bass night is a cant-miss.
Nice environment, but the music was kind of boing.. very repetitive. It was not as upbeat and exciting as I thought it would be.
Its a nice club with a good sound set-up. I was there when Luttrell from Anjunadeep was the DJ! Had an absolute blast! Luttrell is a talented artist!
Unsurprisingly good sound system! Outdoor area is nice, as is the secret window where you can order pizza
Favorite hollywood club. The staff is absolutely the best of the best. I speak very highly of this spot. The bartenders are on point and lively as well as attentive. The entertainment is #1 in the city. House music Gods have graced their talents here.
I recommend this place! Amazing servise!
I have been frequenting Sound for the last few years. Some what stopped going there the last few months. To be fair, when Sound first launched, it was a great spot to go to. Sound had a great lineup and wasnt super packed. The crowd was superb, staff amazing, shout out to Jed!Then slowly but surely the crowd became more hollywood like and a lot of the party people are just there to be seen. I was quite surprised recently when I was asked who was the DJ that was playing, while being behind the booth...Now the club is packed wall to wall with barely any room to move around, not sure why would one go there to be tourtured like that.
Went to check out Sound because my partner wanted to see some of his favourite DJs while we were in LA. Nice venue and back patio, decent sound, cool security. We found the drinks to be on the pricey side but had a great night!
This place consistently has great talent. Ive seen many of my favorite Djs here. Great sound system too
Mu favorite club =]
Great ballroom-esque architecture with a reflecting pool and fireplaces near the entrance, and the lively dancers (go-go girls and guys, alike) really help keep the crowd momentum going.
This by far is the best Nightclub in LA, if your looking for a true underground Vibe / atmosphere. The music is great and works great in this club. I would suggest to go on a Monday, if your into deep house / tech house. For a Monday this place was insanely packed, and the music was something else. MONDAY SOCIAL is on point with the events they throw here. SOUND definitely gives a whole different meaning to music here in LA. I would highly suggest this place if your looking for something out of the ordinary. Great scene, the music thrives here, and speaks for Itself. If your ever in LA, I highly recommend to check out Sound on a Monday.
This is the perfect tiki setting to be drinking $7 Pina coladas during happy hour. I wish they had coconut shrimp, but the bartender was sweet and said i could order anything and have it delivered here. They have a great menu and comfy seating. I was here for a birthday party and it worked out well with reserved tables in the corner. I enjoyed the Pina colada too.
My favorite Place to get a pina colada. The staff is super nice and the entire place has a very friendly vibe. We stumbled uptown this place a few years ago and have been coming back ever since. We have never had a complaint, always enjoyed the tiki atmosphere and the pina coladas are the best!
Having been to mediocre Exchange the night before I was looking for a good House club and this is the place! The place isnt massive but I love how they have 4 bars, 2 facing the dance floor and 2 completely away from the dance floor but still in the same room. Makes getting a drink super quick. The dance floor is also partitioned from a walkway that runs along the back meaning you dont have people pushing past to go to the bar or the bathroom (a really massive plus on a busy Sat night).A really mixed crowd on a Sat night from 18-40, couples, groups and solo men and women. Very nice vibe, no pretentious preening here (well those people are also partitioned off at tables behind the DJ :D)Lighting was good.Sound system was interesting. Quite a few strange nodes in there. The far end had bone-shaking bass, the entrance side a bit quieter and the middle a happy medium. Couldnt complain. Happily bounced between the sections depending on the song.Saw some people mention a guy called George. I did see one guy turn away two older looking gentlemen and women but to be honest they had been mouthing off a little bit so he probably just said not tonight which to be honest happens in every major city!Only negative is as others have said, the toilets. There is one toilet and one urinal in the men and the toilet door doesnt even lock! Fortunately I never needed to wait more than a few mins.Anway, highly recommend!
I really like this venue. The layout, sound and patio are all great. Bathroom lines were non existent. Getting a drink wasnt difficult and it wasnt overly crowded. Wish they had a better variety of music.
The sweetest man with a beautiful accent took care of everything I needed while I was there and the pizza was delicious
Best techno sound system and lights in west coast
Great show, had a blast. Everyone complains about security but they were super cool. We had an altercation and they handled it super professionally and I was very happy with the way they took care of me. Definitely coming back
If you love nightlife and really enjoy sound systems, this place is so loud it will vibrate every single hair on your body.I went here with a group of friends to see Lee Burridge a few months ago. Needless to say, Lee was fantastic, and the sound system was rocking the entire venue! We partied really hard and drank ourselves silly that night. The staff is generally really nice, and security definitely does its job when it comes to keeping everyone safe. The bartenders are quick to get your drink ready as well.If youre heading out here for the night and are sensitive to sound, Id suggest you bring earplugs. It gets really loud in there. If you arent used to nightclubs, then you may want to stay away. Audiophiles and sound junkies, step right up!
Great Sound Nightclub.
They dont close at 4 am they denied us entry at 2:30 AM
Unnecessarily rude bouncers that try to overcharge you on entry. Watered down and overpriced drinks. Giving 2 stars because the sound system makes up for it
Paid $40 to enter at 1:10. Tried to order a beer ar 1:43 AM and was told by two bartenders that the bar was only selling bottled water. No last call was announced and no warning was given upon entry. Very disappointed in the experience at Sound.
Beautiful interior, great drinks, and a sound system that does not leave you wanting. Very pleased with what they did to remodel this venue. If you visited when this was called Blue then you will be very pleased with all the upgrades.
George doesnt have any people skills.. he made us leave even after we paid for the table. He was so bad we didnt care for the money
I had literally one of the best nights out at a club last Saturday dancing my heart to the fullest to the dopest house mixes dropped by both Evan, the opening DJ and Oscar, the Boss. Seriously, come to this place with you heart rooted in your love for house music and you and the DJ will build an invisible connection where he intuitively plays what moves you and by reflection and to give the gift back you dance like you own the night. I did this last weekend and it was profoundly amazing. Oscar played tracks that are my jams, even one I was listening to earlier that day. There is nothing like connecting to the club, the floor, the dj and your body with the vibe of HOUSE! This is seriously one of my favorite places to come and represent dance and house music like a Boss. Thank you so much Sound Club for your dedication to this music....They will never keep us down, Thats why we keep it underground :)Going to be there tonight with out expectations but Im pretty sure this night is going to be spot on. Im Jon. If you see me, I;m the electric kid dancing with a connection between me, my heart, the dj, the music and the space, You;ll know who I am when you see me :) Have fun and be safe. Love and Light shine so bright, Lets not fight, lets live tight!
Good artists but way too packed to enjoy, cant even dance
So not worth buying the ticket. My friends and I had a better time across the street in an Irish pub. The bartenders are completely unprofessional and choose to be flashy skanks rather than serve their customers. Their managers are way nicer and deserve my tip much more. They should seriously restaff. And the music selection was nothing special. Probably the WORST club I have ever been to. Next time dont be rude to your paying customers.
Bouncer tried to charge us double what every one else was paying. Scum bags
My boyfriend and I went there our last night in California. We stood in line waiting for the guy to check out I.Ds. Then out of nowhere 4 chicks and a guy cut us and he let them in and told us the club is now full. But yet he allowed 4 more people to enter the club after he said its full. My boyfriend even mentioned that weve been in line before those chicks but all the guy said was oh sorry about that but theyre here with the owner. Which is completely bogus because he checked their passports and all. So if youre not a skinny hot girl or a guy who looks like a douche; youre most likely not getting in.
Appropriately named - Best sound system in LA.
Fake reviews. If you don’t believe me like look at their other reviews of people who posted those reviews.Lame is the best word I can use to describe this place.Energy level: Low18 and over: noVegas style rip-offs: yesMusic: so-soService: no good. Rude bouncers. Slow bartendersSo let me elaborate. If this place was 18 and over I think they’d have more energy. Because let’s face it the younger we are the more fun we are as humans.Right now you have bunch of tired adults who regret paying for parking and entrance fee who just look at each others dumb founded. There was a time that clubs in Vegas were fun because they were non pretentious. For whatever reason (probably money motivated) they changed so the “rich” or “ pretend rich” or “cheap group of people who wanna pretend they are rich “ get to sit down and the rest just move around like cattle. It’s degrading and it’s not fun. That’s why this club like other clubs in Hollywood are not being successful. That’s why people from LA drive 50 miles to go to OC or riverside. That’s why 18 and over young adults also go to riverside or even farther to have some fun. And that’s why Laughlin, Nevada is seeing more business because people skip even the pretentious clubs in Vegas and go to Laughlin for fun.So somebody has to tell these people the era of pretentious is over. People realize they just look dumb pretending. In short, make this place fun. Maybe a fun DJ who interacts with people. Make it 18 and over.Maybe that’s why there is every Friday night 5000 people at Florentine Gardens and non at your club. Get the message and also stop paying for fake reviews...yuk
Sound has the best consistent music character out of all the places i’ve visited in greater LA. Its a bit on the smaller side compared to the hollywood mega clubs, but thats also part of its charm. i’ve seen dozens of shows there from festival djs to small deep house acts, and its always a good time. if you have no where better to be, sound is your new go-to.
More body guards than cameras, constantly watching you
Rating this a 1 STAR because me and my girlfriend flew in from DFW, Texas to enjoy this night club and when we showed up the bouncer said it wasnt her ID. The picture is clearly her and didnt allow her in because the picture on the ID had a piercing she no longer had. Piercing was a Monroe..
Well... I have been to a lot of nightclubs in greater L.A. and the US and that was one of the worst experiences. The location itself with the dancefloor was ok. But first, the security people behaved like FBI agents and were very happy to push people around for no reason. You can not leave and reenter so one of them told us to just stand in front of the entrance as we needed some fresh air. 2min later we were pushed out as one of them felt like we should rather leave the club than standing were the other security guy told us to. They pushed my friend to the ground because he didnt want to leave and wanted to go in, as we were not outside the club.Anyway maybe that was a single event (however saw that they treated others im a similar way that evening). The music was pretty sh** and the DJ seemed to be a bad one as he played the same beat for over an hour.If you plan to go there i wouldnt prebuy the tickets and just wait in front for a few minutes to check out the music. We should have done so, would have saved us from having a bad evening in there.Bar service is extremely slow, drinks are mixed in a bad way and more expensive than you experience it in some clubs in vegas (and LA).
Great place, good music, servers are nice. No complaints.
If you like techno and house music you should try this place
Awesome place. Awesome vibe. Great service from one bartender. Horrendous service from another.
Hands down my favorite club in LA great venue, staff, vibes and guests
Absolutely love this place the vibe is all about the music everyones always on the dance floor, and the bartender Jed is amazing! He remembers me every time I go and waits on me extremely quickly !! Cant wait to go back
Its a typical Hollywood club.Expensive drinks ($13 for a single shot Jack and Coke) and OK staff (nice bartenders, so-so door) with moderate to heavy crowds. Its probably fine if youre a VIP or pay for bottle service but otherwise its a little pretentious (e.g. getting inside was a bit of a mess). But its Hollywood so if you like that scene its neither bad nor good. The sound and lighting systems are good - definitely made the DJ I went to see stand out.The decor isnt terrible - but as others have noted theres no place to sit unless youre paying extra.
Drove from Vegas for the weekend music was good, customer service not so much no type of hospitality, bartender by the entrance would force you to get 2 drinks at a time while the other bartender by the restrooms didnt have a problem selling me a single drink, restroom attendant would give attitude if you didnt tip every time you used the restroom to the point where I basically had to pay for paper towels to dry my hands but hey tip the guy $20 and hell let you and your crew do some blow without snitching lol this was my second time at this place and I highly doubt I would be going back .
Gteat sound. Great aesthetic. Too crowded (think meat grinder).
Wow this was a lot of fun! It was packed on a Tuesday. Drinks are expensive but thats expected. The DJ was on point!
One of the best clubs in Los Angeles by far check it out if youve never been there and even if you have to go back because those drinks are worth it. alright the beats are dope too.
Music is really if you like house music this is the spot. Other than that..... Good music
I went on a Monday!!! Definitely the best club in Hollywood! Im such a fan of Deep underground house music; So glad I found this place!!!!
