I started going to Circus Disco back in the early 80s when I was 21 years old, l loved it. It was a place to hang out and be yourself. Love the music there, best times spent there on Saturday nights. It was like my second house going there. I met alot people that were so friendly. Thats were I met my boyfriend and been with him for many years, but we broke up because he wanted to be single again. So I left and started going out with friends. I enjoyed my single life again. Guys arent the same like it was in the early times. But I wouldnt miss a Saturday night going to Circus Disco and loving it.
This place is hopping!!! Tons of fun. People are really outgoing. Watch yourself when you leave tons of cops ready to pull you over. Got busted myself.
Omg I cant believe its still open! Brought back many great moments as a kid... #18then When we went to clubs we was 16 and it was legal so of course the turn up was real!
Its my favorite place to hang out in LA ad far as gay clubs. They have 4 different Djs playing house /top 40, hip hop and r&b, rock end Español with Spanish pop, and they have a salsa/kumbia room that also has a drag show around midnight. Theres something for everyone. Plus got dancers tons of bars great patio. And tons of good looking guys!! Hurry and go because it is closing:-( which bums me out but condos must be developed or LA will fail to exist!! ;
I love it circus disco snd arena, it is more fun and enjoy to meets new faces
Fun all around.A lot of men.. straight and homosexual.
Love coming here they have good music but if what they are saying is true this place is being sold or closed down bye circuse rip 2015
Had a blast all my friends loved the music and I was sad when it ended
Circus disco has been around for a very long time. It has had its up and down moments and the years are very much taking their toll. The decor is quite dated and these days the overall feel of the club can be a bit cheesy at times. That isnt to say that it is not a fun place because it is. Depending on the night (and if they are hosting a promotion or not), the music usually falls into the EDM/Trance category although I have heard some pretty good House DJs spinning a little House love here as well. They have a pretty good sized dance floor and a smaller room that often has a second DJ doing their thing as well but the dance floor space is much more limited in that room. The music is always energetic and lively though and the crowd tends to be a good mixture of gay, bi and straight twenty somethings to mid thirty somethings. The drinks are reasonably priced and on those nights when they are charging a cover charge at the door, it is also reasonable unlike most of the dance clubs in West Hollywood. This club can be a lot of fun on the right nights but I only rated it 3 stars because it just feels like the place is falling apart at times. There have been many rumors throughout the years that the property was sold and new condos were going to replace what was there. Because it is such a large parcel of land that borders on neighborhoods with large apartment complexes and condos, it would not surprise me that this will eventually happen. Perhaps that is why the owners just dont appear to be putting money into the club for maintenance or upgrades anymore. It is a pity. This place has seen much better days (or nights in this case).
Im giving them 5 stars for all the great memories that place gave me.Circus is my first EDM/Trance club :) I met so many great people here and its very spacey! I even brought my sister and a close friend here when they turned 21.Unlike Avalon, you dont have to dress super clubby. You can wear comfy clothes and blend in with the people :) The people you meet here is what makes this club so amazing (+djs). They are so easy-going and fun to talk to (maybe once in a while you will encounter a creeper or two). Its a great place to enjoy trance and socialize with people outside.Parking: parking in the streets is pretty risky. I know a few that got their car broken into.If you are being followed by a creeper: go to the bathroom and exit from the other door ;)I also had my very first bacon wrapped hotdog after circus! It was so gooooood!!!! You better have some post circus!!!! Their hot dog stands are legit, way better than the ones youll have at other places
My preferences over WeHo. Arena and Circus are the best in L.A.
