The Comedy Union offers up tasty Senegalese food, which -- what a coincidence -- is made up of French ingredients in addition to Western African. Ooh la la, again my taste buds were satisfied!

Comedians were amazing. Food and ambience was fantastic. Felt like I was at Def Comedy Jam. Tony Rock was the headliner. All talent were gracious and we were able to talk and take pics after show. Pic with Tony Rock.

I really like this place! For only $20 per person, you can have a fabulous night filled with lots of laughter! Some acts were much funnier than others, and a couple, I could do without (hence, 4 out of 5 stars), but it was overall a great event and Id definitely come back!

Celebrated my 43rd birthday with a group reservation here 8/10. They didnt recognize any birthdays in the house that night but I blame it on an amateur host. Other than that disappointment, I actually like the place and have supported them with my business and referrals for years. Most of the comics are pretty funny for the most part. Ill definitely be back and continue to support.

Great place to unwind even in the middle of the month. Honestly, who doesnt love surprise laughs on hump day? It is a 2 drink minimum, but you can always opt out for non alcoholic. I now love tonic water! You will usually always find a comedian you can relate to and its a plus that the environment feels family based.

$5 Wednesdays are the BEST.Ive gone to the Comedy Union twice for this midweek special to enjoy comedians I know and discover new acts to follow. The 2-drink minimum is a fair exchange for all of the laughs Ive gotten out of the place.The Comedy Union is an amazing place to experience with friends and loved ones. Its also a fantastic date night for any new couples or lifelong partners. Highly recommend!

Man I love this place. The staff is great, the beers are always flowing and more importantly the talent is always good. I come here quite often(at least twice a month). Weekdays it could be a hit or miss but usually it does not disappoint. Interestingly the crowd may behave oddly and really change the dynamics for the comics. Overall I love this spot!

Man I had an amazing time! Went to this show called @SuitedComedy.. bunch of funny local comics and they even had some bigger names. It was only 5 bucks but they did this thing where if you win “Best Dressed” audience member your drinks got paid for. I’m going back to win that!!

Great sets and great service and i always have a great time here. The store is located in a restaurant/bar filled area on the upper east side so you can grab a nice dinner before or late night drinks after the show. You will find great deals on groupon and they sometimes give out free tickets after the show for your next visit.

Money well spent for a Thursday night fundraiser... Comedians funny. Music poppin. 2 drink minimum- Drinks delicious...Just right. My food - Fried Catfish was hot, light and tasty. Security...You felt comfortable and safe. Waiters - professional and friendly.

First time here and had a blast! Will definitely come again. Love that it wasnt over crowded. Quaint. And comedians were hilarious.

Small Intimate Venue. We saw B. Simone tonight. She was great. We were right up front, lighting was great. Sound was good. I do have difficulty with hearing mid range voices.I would go back again.

Fun night and great amount of comedians. It was alot longer than i thought. It ran 3 hours i think which is a good amount of time laughing. I like tovlaugh at myself so i dont mind the comedians laugh at me. Pretty well known comedians go. Esther ku was the one i wanted to see. She didnt disappoint. Will go again.

The comedians were surprisingly very funny! The food and drinks at this place are more expensive than other comedy clubs, but If you stay past the regular lineup to listen to the new and upcoming comedians youll get free admission tickets to come back to the comic strip which was sweet.

They have some amazing comedians around. The crowd is more African-America and so are the comedians. The places is quite humid and can get hot. Super cheap price and also if you RSVP for a show online in through their website you get $5 off (as per 2018).

Cute spot, street parking everywhere free after 8pm for street parking is available. Intimate yet large location. It’s amazing that it’s black owned, which I believe there are only a couple in California (3?). Comedians were hilarious went to see sqADD live which I believe are the first Wednesday every month.It’s a two drink min. like every club; not two item. Food around 11~14 and snacks between 4-12 pretty affordable.Afterwards go on La Brea and grab some Tacos El Gallito!

Five plus stars for the comedy and service but def a few less stars for the food selection and quality of drinks. Still, a nice and entertaining night out that comes out to be fairly inexpensive and puts you in a great part of the city.

Ballin on a budget? Yes, great Wednesday night out with 15 friends. $5 entry, $5 drinks and menu items? The show was great with 5 extremely funny comedians. The only downside was waking up for work I feel Thursday. The first show was 8:30p. Consider a 6:30p start for the happy hour crowd after work.

Early Friday night show featured about 4 or 5 comics all of which were good except 1 whose show got cut early. Small crowd for the early show but a long line was outside for the 1030p sho. 2 drink minimum is enforced. Would visit again.

When I go to the Comedy Union I always think small but Mighty! Its a very intimate venue but the comics always make it an amazing atmosphere Larger than Life. I love that its a Homebase club for many established and emerging talents. But dont get it twisted the owner takes no prisoners be prepared to order all the minimums required. Its not cheap but the establishment has to earn its living so have the understanding that you are contributing to the greater good LOL Parking sucks but this club has been around a minute and I would promote it as well as support it anytime. Bottom line is youre going to have I have a lot of fun

Prototypical comedy room. Great feel. Very convenient off LA Brea for anyone in Mid Wiltshire.

It took forever to recieve service. Once I ordered food and a drink I was told an HOUR later that they ran out of food. So disappointed but the comedy is great!

Really fun, just be prepared for the 2 drink minimum, and a whole lot of laughter. This place is great for date night. The drinks are great quality.

I was there for a comedy show and had no knowledge prior to me getting there that there is a 2 drink minimum (I hate that). The seats are EXTREMELY small. I was nearly sitting on the people next to me lap. My soda was FULL of ice. I had 3 sips and it was gone. They waitress let the empty cups sit on the table the ENTIRE time ALTHOUGH she came over several times asking is we were ready to order our MANDATORY second drink. Never again... Never again!

I took my girl to SquADD Live. Had a great time, from the time we walked in the room was full with good vibes all around. They have good drinks and great food. From the opening comic to the closer non-stop laughter. I will definitely be returning.
