A friend of mine hosts the open mic Tuesday thing. Great staff working there, really friendly. Food is good, drinks are decent. You should check it out if you havent.
I actually really like this place. I believe theres a discount on the cover fees if you come early- did that once and the place was basically empty. When it starts to fill out though, its a lot of fun. Its cool to be able to hear different music in the different rooms. Drinks are pricey and theres an ATM in the club too. You can dress up or down how much you want, a good amount of people come in just slightly nice/clubby attire, more towards the casual side.
You dont need this review to decide whether or not to go here, I like it, Im the arbiter of nothing though, so it presents a quandary to you, the reader, you somehow found the right sorting formula and the patience to reach this review. And this humble reviewer thanks you.
I have been going to the exploratorium since I was a kid (shout out to middle school field trips!) and recently became an after dark member. The membership is an amazing deal, it pays for itself after 2 visits and now that I am a member, it is super convenient to swing by after work to unleash my inner child. There are super creative cocktails, presentations, and special exhibits that elevate the after dark experience and I find something new every single time I go. The only downside to this is that sometimes my favorite exhibits disappear! Go asap to check out the super fun interactive inflatables exhibit (think bouncy house meets rave meets sculpture).
After the long line and rude door people I finally got to see what was actually an amazing club. it had all action and debauchery you can think of. the deejays were really great, and i got to see an aerial performance for the first time. i kind of wish the music was a little less pop and a little more grungy, but i still had an amazing time. The staff need to loosen up a bit is my only thing. Everyone seemed so firm almost like they hated being there and hate the guests. Fix that and you got it going on.
I like to dance! A long time ago, I was looking for a club or cafe where I can relax after hard working weekdays. Surprisingly, I found Bootie. My friends and me ordered a table for 6 persons and some drinks. The music was great, the atmosphere amazing! I will recommend to all my acquiescence to visit and enjoy the time in Bootie;)
Got a table for the Latin Room $100 with 2 bottles, always have fun here, had my birthday party here, waitress was super nice and checked up on us been here at least 3 times never had a problem and always had fun with good music on both dance floors.
The best and lively nightclub & lounge offering hip-hop & R&B nights, bottle service & 7 karaoke rooms.
Great vibes and super fun nightdrinks are a lil pricey but thats the gameill for sure be back once this reopens
This place is awesome!! Honestly a really good spot! Came on a Friday night and the cover was $5 with rsvp online. Drinks where great, very strong & reasonably priced! It wasnt too packed here, didnt really get poppin until 11:30ish! Music was hip hop (all the good stuff) & loved the other room was the Spanish music ! Super cool! Also bathrooms were really clean which is nice for a club! Def recommend this place ! Will forsure go back!
Went here with my friends. great experience
Holy hell get ready for one hell of a time. Ive been to CA two years in a row and must say, Ive woken up both years covered in Jell-O shot stains all down the front of me from a night at Arena Ktown.
Arena is always a fun time! I come here almost every weekend. The music is great
This place is so much fun. The music is amazing and the crowd of people are awesome, GO HERE!!!!! I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE LAST NIGHT!! by far the best place to party in CA.
Annoying security guards on the floor in the way waiving flash lights telling people to move out of EMPTY “VIP” sections. Music selection was cool (hip hop & r&b). Probably won’t be returning.
Bootie is nice but it is a little small and crowded in there. the entrance price is fair which is why i think so many people like it ($10-$15). The atmosphere is great and it gets pretty wild let me tell ya.
Went there to celebrate a birthday. Security was everywhere waiving flash lights telling everyone to move out of EMPTY Vip sections. So that was kind of whack. Great music selection though (Hip Hop & R&B)
Arena is always a fun time! I come here almost every weekend. The music is great - they play a lot of hip hop, r&b, and oldies. They play one great hit after the other so they really know how to keep the crowd alive and moving. It gets WILD! Make sure you get in line by 10:30pm as the lines will be very long.
My favorite nightclub in LA so far. Free entrance for everyone, the drinks could get pricey but it’s a nightclub anyway so I’d recommend coming on Fridays as the music and crowd is better. Also, come before 10pm otherwise the line gets too long.
Overpriced and the security kicked me out when some random underage swiped my drink (I did not give it to him). I talked to management to try to get it sorted out and they still didn’t budge. I even offered money. No luck.Never coming back. The inside is kinda boring anyways.
Its been awhile since Ive went, but the mashups are worth the trek from San Jose to SF. Always stay for the midnight show- whether its burlesque or an aerial dancer! Dont order the on special dirty Shirley... had it more than once and its super gross.
DJs have it figured out here, and the drinks are strong
It’s always a great time when I come out to Arena!Friday nights get packed quick so make sure to come out earlier than your usual club hours before you’re stuck out waiting In!
I wish I could give 0 stars, they post “free” or “no cover” on different websites like “eventbrite” but charge up to 30$ once you get inside. To add, the line for this club is unorganized, people will cut you and you can wait about 3hrs..ON A THURSDAY. If you’re looking for a lit night..look somewhere else !!
So guys who is from tiktok
Arena Ktown at this places was amazing. The wait was about 25 minutes. The service wasnt bad but it wasnt great. We were greeted after being sat for 10 minutes. The drinks were ok, the food and food choices were disappointing. Only come to this place for a drink and the views.
Had a blast! A few rooms were a bit warm, but overall, music was great, djs were awesome!
New years day, 40$/per person, as advertised. Paid 200$ for 2 people no disclosure but verbal subject to change price. Maybe because my partner was not Asian?
I was AGGRESSIVELY patted down at the door for no reason. The new management will come post saying how things have changed, but really it hasnt.Avoid avoid avoid avoid.
Honestly 5 stars for being so accommodating!! Jackson and the whole crew always help me out when I need to get in or for table service. The venue is hot but at least the music is amazing!!! The crowd is always lit with amazing bar backs and bartenders. What I really love is that the crowd is young so I always know Ill have fun!! Great service and theyre really nice if you work with them in asking for what you want. Come to this new popping place because youll have fun and its a great crowd!
I went here with a friend. The other patrons are nice and we had fun. We had good music and pretty much everyone there was nice.
Decided to check this place out. Waited an hour outside when it didn’t even seem that crowded inside. As I got to the entrance, the security guard (aka ex-cop?? Lol) chooses to manhandle and grope me up and down, not once, but multiple times. I complained because what he did was definitely unnecessary in an unprofessional manner. I been to a lot of clubs and never have a bouncer searched me that extensively, not even the TSA for international flights! Ruined my whole night...
60 bucks per person... For Saturday 28? For real ?
I came to Arena last night looking forward to attending a fundraiser clubbing event for my beloved dance organization at my university. The theme was Throwback Thursday and mostly everyone inside was dressed casual (you know, like a typical college party). With my pre-purchased ticket, I got in no problem and spent 20 minutes catching up with some friends from the org I hadnt seen in a while. When I stepped outside literally 3 feet from the entrance to get my other friend, a different (tall, dark-skinned) bouncer was manning the door. I calmly showed him my stamp and my wristband, and to my astonishment he snickered at me and asked, Who let you in? Apparently, sandals were no longer appropriate for a predominately COLLEGE night party event even though I noticed other people inside wearing sandals. He stated that I had to be wearing wedges/heels, to which I told him that I was unable to because of my medical foot condition. He rudely replied tough luck and offered no other alternative. So, that was a $20 ticket wasted in 20 minutes. I felt quite targeted and embarrassed especially since this was an event that my own organization was fundraising, and two of my friends were still inside with the same exact shoes. I expected much more from Arena and their equal enactment on policies. Would not recommend this place at all. Next time dont let people with the wrong dress code inside in the first place.
I was introduced to Joey through some mutual contacts. From the moment we touched based via text, everything just felt right. Joey provided me with details that I needed to make an informed decision regarding table service for a bachelors party. It was probably one of the best promoter experiences Ive had in a while. From there, the group made their selections, I texted it back to Joey, and we quickly squared up the night of via an e-invoice. All this completed in less than 2 days.Fast forward to the day of, we were awaiting an arrival of one last individual from the group as he was coming from the airport. Didnt want us to be anymore late so I shot Joey a text regarding coat checking his luggage. Again, no issue. When we arrived, Alex took care of checking us and Joey came out to greet us. We were passed along to the hostess (I think Sophie or Sophia -- my apologies if I got it wrong) and she brought us to our table. Before the the table service kicked off, Kitty (our table server) came over to confirm the details of our booking. Much to my surprise, she had everything written down (bottles we ordered, the extra redbulls, water buckets, and food (definitely get the chicken tenders)) -- even a sign option for the bachelor. Overall, just SUPER ORGANIZED. We pointed out the bachelor, requested that the drinks come first, followed by the food at 12:30am and that was EXACTLY how it went. Our group of 9 guys had a lot of fun; stayed til the very end. The music mainly focused on todays new-aged hip hop/rap, with a hint of 90s/2000s throwbacks. But everyone jammed out when the 3rd DJ dropped some Backstreet Boys. If youre looking for bottle service, definitely hit up Joey -- youll be in good hands. To Joey and the staff that we interacted with, thank you for the hospitality. We oldies definitely had a fantastic time at Arena K-Town. Well be seeing you at Arena SF.
The music here is dope. Best ive seen in LA. Mostly hiphop top40. Been here 3x, never failed me. Free to get in, check the website. Be on time!, dont cry they didnt let you in lol. This place gets packed & hot pretty quickly, especially saturdays. Can be A lot of masculine energy, they really should balance it out. Dress code is wear what you want. Check website for age. Paid and free parking in the area. Sticky floor fr, i would not wear nice shoes lol. Young crowd 20s maybe 30s. Decent size dance floor. No seats unless buying a table. Mostly asians. Crowd is not too stiff. plenty of security, they can be a little annoying. Thorough security check at entrance.
Get better security guards. Those guys are very unprofessional and rude. I waited 2+ hours only to get rejected entrance. They are very unaccomodating and the most unempathetic people i have ever seen. Note I had my ID and ticket and I am 21..
Sucks, horrible service
Really enjoyed all the hip hop and throwbacks of this place. Nice change since a lot of clubs can be very EDM. The decor walking in is really dope too. Overall very good vibes, fun place for my friends and I and hype music! Will always drop by Arena when I’m in LA!
So many handsome guys and fabulous guls, I love candy eyes. The price is so nice.. . I had such fun at Saturday night. Join the club and have fun.
Horrible. Stayed for as long as possible. Way too much security and got 100% scammed for 20$ sorority a bad DJ
First time here on April 7th for their Saturday slaps and it was so much fun! The music and the ambiance made my night. If youre a hip hop and R&B junkie, I definitely recommend coming here. My friends and I arrived around 12 and there were still so many people waiting! New favorite club in koreatown
Hottest Nightclub in k-town. Amazing staff and music! They definitely bring the Vegas vibe here.
Came to CA for a vacation and heard about Arena. I decided to give it a try... but this is one of the worst clubs in LA. Made us wait 2hrs outside but let people who were after us go in. “Oh they’re VIP.” What some bs. If they were VIPS they wouldn’t be waiting in line. None of them showed any identification of VIP. All disrespectful staffs who only cared about not having a sausage party. If you want to waste two or more hrs waiting in line to be denied it’s best to not go here. Better luck staying home.
First time to Arena and really enjoyed this spot. Lots of hip hop and majority was top throwback hip hop and r&b hits. Line was ridiculous so make sure you get there early.
As Arena was a popular hotspot in we ho, its arrival in Krono has been a step towards man kibds ndllllgreateareatest moments
Lousy neighbors, tired music and screaming drunks all over the street. If you’re going to keep us up all night, at least get a decent DJ and spin better music.
Recommended by my friend but the DJ was horrible! The music was so bad we left after 30 minutes without improvement. The worse part was they played the ice cream truck music and they really killed the mood. I will never go back here! For good EDM music go to Sound!
I waited outside for 90 min and noticed they were not letting people of color inside. However people that came later that were not of color and of Asian decent were let inside immediately.
So bad at informing customers
The worst nightclub i have ever been too. kinda funny.
Have no fear, Arena Ktown is here!Dont know what to do or where to go on a Friday or Saturday Night? Are you with a bunch of your fellas and trying to find a dope ass spot to chill? How about finding some where host a bday party, a grad party or celebrating life? Arena Ktown is a new spot that plays 90s and early 00s r&b and the vibe you get when you are there can leave you wanting to come back every week. I cant tell how many times I have brought new people here, or partied with my friends and they loved it! I also love that the prices for bottle service is cheap af!!! To piece up for a table, you might end up spending way less than if you bought drinks at a bar! Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a good time. Jackson and Brandon walks over to people and tables often to make sure people are having a good time and that in its own light is a calming feeling. Keep up the good work Arena Ktown! I feel bad for places like Blue J, Lock & Key, and Honeycutt.
Pretty cool spot, clean area and staff were solid. Loved the dj and dancing area, plan on going back.
Going to be my Friday night Saturday night spot
One of the few legit hip hop clubs in k-town!
Waited two hours only for them to say they shut down. And will only take VIP...
Ever since Arena changed ownership a couple months ago it’s been going up and they’ve been killin it! DJ Dho has taken over the hip hop club scene in OC and i can’t wait to see what he brings for Ktown.
Lots of kids, mean security guys, very crowded and hot inside because they just let people in without considering how many person this club can handle .
Wow, I got a jammin sampler from them. They are totally mix-masters. I love these guys. They lay the foundation for a killer party. If you see and hear them perform you will totally ask who they are before you leave. Nice crew. Had a great mini-chat on the side while they spun. OMG, wish I has a bigger house. Woot woot ! ! ! Get my party on with these guys.
I was yelp surfing yesterday night looking for a new place for my girlfriend and I to spend our Saturday turn ups and came across Arena. At first, I didn’t want to go but of course the girlfriend always has to have the pick, right? Drove passed this nightclub thinking it was an “all asian nightclub” (being that it was in the heart of K-town) and I was hoping I brought my asian members ID card with me(jking... it’s very diverse!)All in all, to my surprise, this nightclub incorporates a hip hop based culture despite the location it was in. Whether you’re looking for a nasty night at the club with the boys or just spending a nasty night with your girlfriend(guilty), this club is the poppin place to at least check out!Parking sucks though (but it’s LA)
Last weekend I went to Marshmello at LA Convention Center a few miles away. On a whim, our GNO decided to take the after-party to Arena Ktown! Best decision evvveeerrrr!Bottle service check in was went smoothly. Service was phenomenal. After a long night of trap/edm music, I loved all the hip hop & r&b they played!BEST PART OF THE NIGHT IS THAT YOU CAN ORDER CHICKEN TENDERS AND FRIES WITH YOUR BOTTLES (a yelpers dream come true). Usually Im scrambling drunkenly after the club trying to find pizza, hot dogs, or tacos... but they helped a sista out. They truly think of everything a person could need.Definitely get a table & beat the line! Or just patiently wait in line... Its definitely worth the wait for the litttttty night youre about to have!
I’ve never really been a fan of driving out to LA for clubs, but ever since Arena changed ownership it has been one of my go-to clubs on the weekends!LA parking sucks in general, but if you get to Arena a little early there is a good amount of street parking. If you’re unable to find street parking they also do valet parking for $10 which is not bad at all. When you first walk into the club, you walk past a hip hop hall of fame which include graphic designs of artists such as Drake, Aaliyah, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Chance, Biggie, Tupac, etc. I thought these were really cool and creative. There is also a cute red neon sign on the wall that says “I Do It For The Ratchets” which is perfect for taking those Instagram pictures with the homegirls/homeboys.Music wise if you’re into throwbacks/R&B/Hip-Hop, like me, this is definitely the place for you. All of the DJ’s (especially DJ D.Ho) really know how to throw it down and get the crowd hype (and sweaty)!
Only Asian people are allowed to go in..!!! Other cultures are not welcome coz they gonna give yall that dirty look smh lol..!!
This place was lit
I’ve never seen so many Asians in my life. Felt uncomfortable since so many 16 year olds with fake IDs trying to get guys to buy them drinks. Shut this place down! Bad!
Regret coming here last night.
Ratchet, packed but free entry. Line during prime time.
Chill and nice place
Kurang suka. Minuman nya gak enak
