THE BEST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!! OMG when we walked in I was in awe!! I love this place! Each room is different with digital and light art installments, and the attendants that work there are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING at taking photos of you! Like they are trained pros, man, they are so good! I was shocked at the quality of the photos the guys working there took of us, and i am a professional photographer. Anyway the museum is amazing. I’m so glad it’s a permanent exhibit so I can go back! I fly to LA a lot for work and I plan in coming here again and again. Especially since they’ll be changing their exhibits in 2020! Can’t wait. This place is a MUST VISIT during your trip to LA! I would imagine it’s also a great place for a first date too!** I just read some of the reviews of people complaining about the photographers here. To be clear, we did not hire a photographer. The attendants walking around the museum took pics of us using my iPhone and they turned out AMAZING!

Ive only been here during the day and this past Thursday night was probably the best night to go. We went for their annual Big Bang Fundraiser gala and the place was decked out with an ice sculpture, lots of yummy food, several OPEN bars, a huge candy bowl area where you could fill up your own bags, a dance area, food trucks that served both cupcakes and wood fired pizza, and a DJ.

The worse experience I ever had.First, they don’t honor the time you bought your ticket for, if your time was 4 pm to get in, after they check you in you still need to wait a hour and a half to get in.Also, what they showed in the videos prior you got in they don’t have at the exhibit, definitely going to fight for my refund .

No complaints on that but if you are looking for something more than that this not the place for you.Added to that felt its too small to call it a musuem. It had like 6 themed room and thats it. Not educational, not interactive.

Ive been emailing them since July 29th to resolve an issue that I had. They emailed me back once then ghosted me right afterwards. Countless emails later and they still have yet to help me. I am incredibly frustrated having sent as many emails as I have so far without any amelioration. The issue: I got lost trying to get there and emailed them to get help finding the location (I called the phone number, but its just some answering machine and it generally directs you to email them). They didnt reply until August 2nd. Cool. Whatever. I got lost and I missed my time and thats mybad. I was a little agitated that they reached out days later asking Are you talking about the Hollywood location or the Beverly Hills location? At that point, I was just home looking for a fork for my dinner. But, I digress. What really got to me was that I had then asked to possibly transfer my tickets to another day or get a refund, but I received no reply. I got lost and missed my time slot and they just did not give a darn. They took my money and could care less whether I saw their exhibits and they have shown this by completely ignoring all of my emails. I mean, if they didnt want to transfer my ticket to another open day or even if they didnt want to give me a refund....they should say SOMETHING. I paid for these tickets and deserve to at least be given a response saying I was denied. I got nothing but crickets and thats just the WORST.These people dont care about you. Customer service is non existent. They want your money and thats it. Buy your tickets, but I hope for your sake you have no problems because they wont care if you do.

We really enjoyed our experience at MODS museum. I read some concerning reviews but we still wanted to give it a shot, and opted for the professional photo package which is a fantastic deal. The museum is small with only 6 rooms and it can be slightly crowded on the weekend (not uncomfortably so), but it has some great photo ops. The space is more focused around getting great shots than immersive art, but still very cool. Its clear the team is still learning what works best as they havent been open very long, but our experience was very smooth. We couldnt be happier with the engagement shots we got there in just 20 minutes! We were lucky to work with Charlie for photography who was very talented and made us feel super comfortable.

Truly a wonderful experience where my friend and i were able to stretch and use our creative muscles in each room we walk through. Although you have to go through one room before entering the next, you can go backwards and take new photos or video or even have a change in attire.I may be wrong, but there is about 6 rooms to use. The best part is that its not crowded. The ability to go backwards is a plus because you might get new ideas as you go to the next room. Lighting is great and pretty much evenly lit - i didnt have to adjust my settings when going from room to room, but you may need to adjust the color temperature because of the kinds of bulbs they have in each one.Their location is pretty much well air conditioned - not too hot, but a little on the cold side, which i like because i was wearing some thicker clothing because of my morning appointments. As for parking, you can park on any floor, but i suggest parking closer to the Macys side on Beverly Blvd. They are located on the 6th floor. If you see a Ferrari Store, and a bunch of couches in the middle of the walkway, youre close to it.

The newest space to hit the Los Angeles art scene is the Museum of Dream Space (MODS) at the Beverly Center. It is the first museum to mostly exhibit digital art in the U.S. The word museum is really a misnomer because a museum is an institution whereas MODS is a space comprised of 6 different art installations, namely, the gold room, a flower projection room, the light bulb room, infinity room, a second projection room, and lastly, the room of lanterns. Although one of my favorite artists, Yayoi Kusama, has created similar work, this is NOT her art. This is inspired by her work.I have been excited to see this space for weeks and I was lucky to get tickets with a buddy for the grand opening! Located on the sixth floor of the newly renovated Beverly Center, there is a quick and easy process to check-in, so have your tickets ready! Do note that the museum is quite small and I had the impression there were going to be more rooms. There was also a lot of people at the opening, so the spaces did get crowded. My recommendation is to go during a work week where the chances of people being in your shot will be reduced significantly. In any case, I had a lot of fun, we spent hours in there trying to get the right shot. It also was really hot, there is an AC in the mall, but when youre in there, be aware that it could get quite warm, so much so, that we had to take our jackets off. My favorite room was probably the first gold room because its such a great installation. It would have been more effective if the lights that adorned the ceiling were hung a bit lower so you can get more of the lights in the shot. If you dont angle the camera/phone, you could miss some beautiful opportunities for that great shot. I also appreciated the infinity room and lantern room.Generally speaking, I had a tough time getting the shot and Im a photographer! Im not sure if its because there were so many people who will be in your shot or if the space needs to work out the kinks in the actual art installation. For example, the light bulb room was a lot of work ahah. You actually have to blow into one of the objects to get the lights to go on and change different colors. And the lightbulbs were a bit too tightly clustered in such a big space that we kept bopping our heads against all of them. I think the whole night I was bopping my head against all the art. It was funny and fine, but man, give a brother some room cuz it was a bit tight ahaha.Overall, I really did enjoy it. I know they will be changing the installations every few months, so my recommendation is to space out the different objects and cap the number of people in a room to ensure a more peaceful experience. Cuz right now its just everyone running around in six tight spaces. Good luck!P.S. Its a dollar per hour for the first four hours, $2/hr thereafter, with a maximum of $18 for parking.

What you can really get from this museum is not only quality photos for your home deco, social media posts or unique iPhones monthly memories. Here, you dive into spaces that can drive your imagination far beyond everyday life and meet the real you.Really use your senses, observe what you feel. Take it into your body and let that feeling take over control. Let it guide your movement. You will feel that at that moment, you are close to the ultimate freedom. Actually it will be a good place to do Vipassanā meditation.Do not see the spaces in normal eye. Do not just winding through. Apply meaning to the settings. Search for metaphors. Be active and go beyond. It is a spiritual practice.Besides all that, it is just good place practicing shooting. Because the lighting conditions are constantly changing through out the rooms, you needs to put some efforts to get sharp shots. When you are able to catch the right light with the right setting camera with well focused model with good pose, dude, you will enjoy that moment.

My first experience of this place wasnt so great because of how unorganized they were when they first opened. However, I came back a second time not too long ago, and my experience here was 100% much better! It was not as crowded, and I was able to enjoy each room however long I wanted. There wasnt a time limit. The staff was super friendly, and always came by to check on me if I needed help with anything. They also had an amazing photographer who worked there as well that help me take wonderful photos at the MOD. (THANK YOU ANDY!) He was very easy to work with and very patient with me for the photos I wanted in each room. ^_^ Each room is very unique. My 3 favorites was the first room (All gold), 4th room (the infinity light room) and the last room (the laterns/lights)Seeing that the hype has finally died down, and the staff is a bit more organized, I definitely want to come back here again with my friends who had a not so good time the first time around. Lol the staff members are very interactive to us, asking if they could take pictures for us, using their own camera for us! And recommending certain angles and for the bubble room, the staff member changed the light colors to suit our clothing color! I loved this exhibit, it is a definite must go. I reccomend staying at least 3 hours to utilize the entire exhibit; once youre inside, you can stay as long as you like until they close, going back and forth from different rooms.10/10 attractions10/10 staff service10/10 cost, it was very worth it, and if anything gold star can give you a good bargain to visit the museum!

My sister and I were super excited about the first ever digital art museum in California. I was expecting to learn a bit of history about the development of the digital arts, something about the artists, and maybe a bit about where they think the future of digital arts is going. There was none of that. This place should be renamed Museum of Instagram Space. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the 6 rooms that were there, were actually really beautiful. However, you can see them all and take pictures in them in about 15 minutes. The price of general admission is $32. For that amount of money, you should go to a real art museum like The Getty for free and then donate $32 to a good cause. Lastly, the first thing you interact with when you get there are the sales associates. They gave me the vibe that they were both bored and thought they were much better than I am. The parking meters were more lively than the front desk associates. I guess now I can say that Ive been there and done that and dont plan to do it again.

You can choose from general admission ($32) or their VIP Package ($60) which includes front of the line pass with a personal photographer. The museum is definitely limited to about 10-15 people per room to really enjoy the experience. This is on the smaller scale if compared to TeamLab. There is a total of 6 rooms which consist of the Golden room, the Waterfall room, the White Lantern room, the Infinity room, the Mantra room, and the Glass Lantern room.
