Came to check out the movie The Hero with Sam Elliot plus a Q & A session with him and Nick Offerman. The movie was good and the Q & A was good as well. Cinemark Baldwin Hills always provides a great atmosphere and event.

What an amazing experience it was to be at this theater again. The last time I was there was for Black Panther. I was there again tonight for Just Mercy, and the energy was palpable. An incredibly powerful movie. Michael B. Jordan showed his acting chops in this one! The theater was intimate, the seats were comfortable. Although, as someone who gets a bit agitated in confined spaces, I must admit that having no exit access to my right was a bit unsettling. The audio and visual qualities were great. The free soda and popcorn were a welcomed surprise for this hungry movie-goer. You do a fantastic job hosting historical movie events, Cinemark Baldwin Hills. Bravo!

BEST Cinemark Baldwin Hills!I LOVE THE CORN on the Cob and the Esqites! Not only are they GOOD but they are CHEAP too! I have been coming since I was a little girl and now I bring my little girl and she loves them too! The CORN man is Very Friendly and Talkative Super Nice!

This place is amazing I came here so much as a kid this place is fair the prices are good except for the food. But the rest is awesome the staff are always nice and wonderful. They do not treat you wrong in this place like in other theaters the food can improve like the popcorn sometimes you feel is one day old but the rest is amazing

This theater has changed brands at least 4 times in the last 15 years, and each change has brought some improvements. Patrons can now reserve seats in the theater, which is great. I noticed several new food kiosks/machines, with self serve items like popcorn, drinks, candy and I may have seen pizza. This is good to avoid standing in a long line at the concession stand, but its also a job killer. The seats also seemed larger and much more comfortable. Dont frustrate yourself looking for parking in the lot in front of the theater. Just go up to the upper level where theres always parking. The absolute best thing about this theater is that it is the host site of the Pan African Film Festival each year. Hands down, the best film festival on the west coast, not to be missed by film enthusiasts. Great opportunity for the community to experience the best films and filmmakers from across the African diaspora.

I love this place! Every Cinemark Ive been to has always been an amazing experience. Great prices, seats, screen, concessions and sound system. They are always clean and family friendly. The student discounts are so awesome. When I go watch a film I always make sure its Cinemark.

Clean and affordable. I go during matinees to save money and avoid the young riffraff. I like that this location offers a refill bucket for popcorn that is good for entire year. Also the staff is friendly and helpful.

There is enough parking available thanks to the open shopping center and cinema seats are super comfortable. Theres also ample room between rows and it doesnt feel like youre getting a lap dance when people are crossing in front of you. The popcorns were a shame though, really turned off.

This was a nice movie theater. The concession stands was pretty slow. They only have one bathroom in its at the front when you enter the movie theaters by the box office to buy tickets, so if you have a movie thats all the way up in the back you have to walk all the way down the hall to use the restroom and proably miss at lease 5-10 minutes of the movie. My suggestion is use the restroom before the movie starts.

Tickets are cheap but not worth it. People are talking all the time, have no consideration what of others watching the movie. They are on their phones during the movie... Id rather spend a little more and have a better experience. Go somewhere else if you want to really enjoy the movies. This movie theater is not worth it.

The tickets and snacks are both a great price. I’ve been coming to this theater for quite sometime and I leave a happy camper every time. Recently, I’ve been to some auditoriums and the volume is WAY TOO LOW. I was in Auditorium 9 for Frozen 2 and I couldn’t hear most songs or what they were saying. I haven’t had trouble with with other auditoriums. Could this please looked into, because this truly interferes with the experience of going to the movie theaters.

I like this theater. Its your basic run-of-the-mills Cinemark as far as new releases go, but it has a number of cultural and special events. Its a great place not just to watch a movie but to have an experience.

Beautiful theatre where I saw the screening of QAF/LWord, stalked Gale Harold and obsessed (okay, I drooled and was at a complete loss for words) over Kate Moennig.

2 different high schools came and there was over 100 students. They only had 2 registers open. I understand not many people were there but they shouldve known ahead of time how many people should be on call that day.

Nice venue! Wished my seat reclined, and was higher off the ground. I wished my popcorn could have been hot instead of cold. Customer service was good. I will probably go back but no anytime soon.

Pretty decent, annoying bag policy. As a student, i often either carry my backpack or purse on me and they dont allow either inside. I understand why, but they dont even have a place we can store them. I often travel via public transportation and as this is the theater closest to my place its pretty annoying i have to leave all my stuff at home if I want to watch a movie.

Family feel at this theater. Reasonable rates for the whole family to enjoy an outing. Clean environment and nice customer service.

This place gets busy for sure. This is the only place I got to watch movies, not too bad on the wallet. The kids love it, they are excited to go watch Frozen

Great theater in which to see first run movies. Last week myself and a friend saw Harriet a truly great movie; and a wonderful viewing experience. Particularly I liked that each seat is positioned high enough so no one is blocking someone elses view of the movie.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Yes the tickets are cheap but not worth it. People have no consideration what so ever. People have full blown conversations and are on their phones during the movie... Id rather spend a little more and have a better experience. Go somewhere else if you want to really enjoy the movies.

We love coming to this theater because it is truly a community space. It can be crowded at times, but the latest movies are always playing here. Theater rooms are equipped with comfortable seating & contemporary decor, as well as awesome surround sound. Great for family movie nights with friends. Wednesdays they offer discounted movie tickets all day.

This used to be my go to theater until they stopped letting you bring bags into the building. they do it to prevent you from sneaking in snacks. even if you dont have any snacks in your bag and offer to let them check it, they refuse and wont let you in. I dont have a car so I had to get a refund go all the way back home. Very disappointed. I wont be coming here anymore. Regal Cinema is much better anyway!

Cinemark Baldwin Hills isnt my favorite location, but its the most reliable one. I enjoy how convenient it is and the prices arent so shabby. The XD seats also are comfortable, but if you attend an standard digital viewing be prepared for some discomfort. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been mostly mediocre at best. You get the sense the employees hate their job, but occasionally youll come across one with good service. The wait time for hot food is an mess and you must wait in an corner, so come earlier. Like I stated, its reliable and its good the community has an durable theater but I would like to see much improved progress.

I love coming here on dates with my boyfriend. We both use our college IDs to get our student discount when we purchase the tickets in person. I love how there is a Taco Bell right across the parking lot and the mall to look around.

The theater is nice to go watch a movie the problem is the parking. We came out off the theater and found my vehicle broken into. They stole my Stereo and a couple of other items. Luckily they werent able to take the vehicle due to my alarm system. No security, or CCTV cameras on the roof top level, your better off going someplace else.. for security purposes. Its a shame I really liked this theater, but I rather take my business elsewhere.

Customer service was horrible I went in with the hopes of seeing a new movie Joker and a disrespectful employee Stephanie did not let me purchase a ticket bc I was not 18. Legally I can see The Joker at the age of 17 (my current age) so instead of dealing with her attitude I went to the touch screen purchasing booth, she later called the manager and she also told me I cannot watch it. So my experience with costumer service was unacceptable.

I usually go to Cinemark 18 but came to Baldwin Hills since I live close by and parking is fairly easy. I ordered the large popcorn and large icee, deal #1. Since you can get a refill on large popcorn and drink, I went and got a refill on popcorn.Then I figured I can get a refill of the fountain drink in my icee cup; since you cant refill icees and the price of icee costs even more than a fountain drink. They said they couldnt refill my icee cup with a fountain drink. And was told by the manager that the most he could do is fill it with water so nonchalantly. If the icee costs just as much as a fountain drink, then it would seem reasonable to accommodate the customer with a fountain drink refill after paying $14 for everything. This is why I usually go to Cinemark 18 because they have self serve drink machines and are much more accommodating... Not to mention people are loud and talk thru the movie and bring little kids letting them jump around at Baldwin Hills. Its a shame that in the ethnic neighborhoods the treatment is more restrictive and less accomodating than other locations.

Great place to go see a movie! On weekends I have seen a farmers market in front of the theater and there are delicious hot food stands and fresh fruits and vegetables stands as well as others specialty booths. Aside from that, there is the mall right next to the theater so if your movie doesnt start for a while you can be well entertained. Great food in the food court too. Save room for popcorn and an Icee .

Yes! Great theater with awesome sound and visuals. Obviously they have Popcorn and other stuff but its a great place to use while in the hood especially during morning week days (no crowds).

This Is a very nice theater but my experience yesterday was definitely not fun and it had an edge of Disrespect* of myself [a senior] and my property [my PURSE/BAG*], after deciding what movies I would like to see, I was called forward by the cashier, only to be denied access unless I purchased a clear BACK/BAG from the same cashier because my clean, I think PRETTY bag was considered a BACKPACK and they were BANNED, because of a shooting that occurred after s crazed person, hid guns in his BACKPACK and did a massacre in another state > I totally understand and sympathize with the victims but security is on property basically standing around, why cant they do a quick search and allow a person who rides public transportation to and from...enjoy a much needed outing? & Not make a empty/trip for nothing. Like your business but I am.....#DisappointedNCinemark

Great movie and great place

Not tourist friendly by any stretch of the imagination. Ive been to see some pretty great places on this business trip. With the exception of the dinner in Beverly Hills, Ive brought my sm-edium backpack w essentials (a book, my wallet, external battery) with me.Only after arriving, having some fun w the Pan African Film Festival (delightful surprise!) and purchasing my ticket, did I see the anti-bag policy. So I asked at the auditorium/ticket booth entrance. He didnt know. Security didnt notice or know. The woman in the blue booth said shed refund me, totally not caring that I have no vehicle and got here from downtown via Lyft and was now virtually stranded. When I asked why the bag policy bc it wasnt a thing in Houston, she says bc they wouldnt fit under the seats (what?!) and are trip hazards (my words, she actually said they would be in the aisles). Ummmm...when I told her people put their purses in their laps or beside them in the chair, she got an attitude.So I left, figured out a solution to my bag, and came back buying a tix to another movie since now my original movie is sold out.Did anyone even notice my or anyone elses bag, you ask? Nope. Nada. Uh uh.My mistake for being honest and saying anything at all.P.s. theres PLENTY of room underneath this seat. Just say you dont want food snuck in or something more believable.

Empty nice seats but too much money for food and drinks

It has cheap tickets and they always take student discounts. On busy days, or a popular movie the snack line is gonna be long.If you want a directors commentary come here, people will always be giving comments throughout the film, especially if its a horror film

I love this location. Been coming here since I can remember. Back then it was horrible even when it became the Rave. But now that Cinemark owned it, it improved drastically. Plus the membership here is awesome!

Great movie theatre to take my students too. We use this Cinemark for all our camps winter, spring and summer. Only $6 on Wednesday’s!!! And in the summer they run a summer camp program and charge $1 not the latest films but movies kids enjoy. We buy the $15 deal on popcorn and soda they give has trays and extra cups once empty you get to fill it for free!!!! This goes a long way when you have taken 20 kids to the movies. Don’t forget go early to avoid the rush and get parking nearer the movie theatre and thats free too!!!!!

As a Cinemark member I like coming here because of the low cost of a movie ticket. This location I believe is always busy. I buy my tickets in advance. The concession line can get long so give yourself enough time.

Terrible, just terrible. People here have 0 consideration for other movie goers. People are on their phones, making noise, posting snapchat videos. All while the movie is playing. Ridiculous.Also management does absolutely nothing. Trying to have a good movie going experience, AVOID this place!

Good place to watch a movie. Pretty high sound and picture quality, comfortable seats. You may experience problems with getting a ticket on a premiere, so be sure to make it in advance.

Beautiful place but the seating is not good even though theyre brand new it has a funny musty smell and I seen a rat run across the floor. people taking their own food into the place and making noise with bags, will never go back to this place ever again

I go to this place all the time. Great for a matinee or a Wednesday full day discount. Staff is courteous without being all up in your face. Dont do for the concession stand fare cause it is ubiquitous concession stand fare. No one should be eating that stuff at any movie theater anywhere.

Went last night to watch the Avengers. There were people loitering in the lobby, it looked like the snack bar exploded! There was popcorn all over the floor, drink cups under the food stand, the condiments stand was just absolutely nasty. I didnt even want to have my purchase sit on the sticky, trashy counter. I spoke with the manager and he told me that if I was there 10 minutes earlier, I would have seen how busy they were, and he walked away. There was one person cleaning the floor with a broom and dust pan. That place needed a vacuum and mop and at least three people should have been on that floor cleaning as people messed up. The managers lazy excuse and attitude was disgusting. When I go to the Grove or anywhere outside of my neighborhood, the theatres are attended to, I hate that when I try to patron businesses in my neighborhood they look like a city dump with bad customer service! Hire more people especially for expected busy times, train the employees and manager (just because he is a manager does not mean he walks around doing nothing), and respect the people of the area enough to present a well kept theatre. If the stars of the movie would have shown up, the place would have been cleaned! Well the people who love and patron that area are also stars!

Comfortable seating, service lines arent as long as other places.

Parking is great so its an easy in and out spot. Their phone app is good for nothing if you want to take advantage of point accumulation for tickets. Get there on Wednesdays for cheap tickets.

Enjoyed our movie experience. Wednesday is discount day so movies were only 6 dollars. Went early and theatre was rather quiet. But when we left there was a queue out the door. Definitely advise buying tickets online in advance. Popcorn was tasty and seats comfortable. Previews were a bit long, but cant complain for price we paid.

Im a Cinemark Movie Club Member. This was my first time visiting this theatre and I was somewhat disappointed. It feels old and and a bit dingy. Concessions was extremely slow, and people werent very friendly or hospitable. Not on par with other Cinemark Theatres in Rialto, Rancho Mirage or Apple Valley.

The atmosphere is friendly. The seats are comfortable. The restroom is clean.

Great place, like all theaters theres food, drinks not sure if alcoholic drinks are available though. This occasion I visited theater 3, seats are not reclining and leather seating, still comfortable but do get hot. Low ventilation from AC but it is on. Still good place to swing by and catch any movie

Terrible customer service. I bought tickets here yesterday and was told I couldnt enter the theaters with a backpack. This was after the fact that I had already purchased tickets and food. Even more unbelievable is that when I asked the employees what I was supposed to do with my backpack, they replied with Uhh...I dont know. Not coming here again.

Couldnt even see a movie. I took the bus with my fiancè really dont come to this side of town however we decided to just get out the house. Anyway they have some stupid backpack rule that prevented us from going inside. I was unaware of this rule so I said they could search it I even opened it asked if I could leave it in the front or if they had lockers...NOTHING just a total waste of time

It is a marvelous theater that is praised by the locals. Offering a variety of food, beverages, promotions, and obviously movies, it is a great place to grab a bite and catch a flick. I can not describe how great it is to feel a wave of comfort and warmth the second you enter the premises. I have made many memories here with my family, memories that I would not trade for anything in the world. To conclude, if you want to watch a movie with comfort, visit this theater.
