We love every time we are here! Ive been here for couples before. Still, I got fascinated by this cinema house. The seats were very comfy to sit on, and it has a cup holder. The screen was so wide, and the speakers were not too loud. This cinema house is a must-visit.
It is a great mix of modern and classic film experiences. The history on display is impressive. Considering it is located on Sunset, the affordable public parking nearby is a considerable plus. This is my go to place to watch a movie in comfort and relax. This is especially true on holidays. There is no traffic and everyone who works there is friendly and shows excellent customer service. The ticket price is worth it for what you get. The concessions are nothing special and overpriced in my opinion, but that is the same almost everywhere.
I just wanted to thank you and the cinema for your excellent service in giving me a free movie ticket. Your white-glove service is outstanding, I am very pleased with this service. Thanks for all the help you gave me, it was greatly appreciated. I enjoyed watching the movie with my family.
Ive been here several times and I love this place to no end. Saw Bond here, Halloween, Mommy Dearest, Ethan Mao, Boy Culture. Hell, even tonight I am going to see a flick there called Outing Riley. Its not just all movies and show business for me. Anyone who has ever walked into this place can appreciate the decor...the history, the freaking guy that plays the organ...lol. Do yourself a favor and visit this place....not to be missed.
My friends and I went to this movie house to hang out and have fun. The staff was very accommodating, nice, and helpful. When we came in, the seats were comfortable and organized. Even the screen was too large and clear. Also, the popcorns and drinks that we bought were yummy and OK. Next time, we will come back, for your movie house was satisfying. Nice service!
A majestic movie place! This was the first time I visited this place, and I am very satisfied with their assistance. All the movies were great and fantastic! I will surely bring my co-workers and friends to this movie house for sure. The most reputable and brilliant place to enjoy the day. Until the next visits! A5 stars!
All respect to this cinema house for making my movie experience more memorable! This cinema house is undoubtedly one of the best, and I urge you guys to come here because they truly have it all, especially some tasty snacks and comfortable seats. I really had a great time here, and Im sure that I will come back soon.
Great sound and screens for high quality movie watching, as well as good structured seating for a good viewing experience. Couple of down falls with the amount of staff they have I expected the inside of the the auditoriums to be much much cleaner, dirty seats and popcorn everywhere Also I didnt love that when I went no one was working the front desk so I was forced to use my card to purchase tickets instead of cash.
Big theater, nice atmosphere, and the speakers were not too loud. Friendly staff and the popcorn is always crunchy. The chairs were so comfy to sit on and also has a cup holder. The comfort room was so clean and neat. I should have known this cinema house long before.
This was the first time I visited this cinema house with my colleagues. Their awesome staff never fails us on our expectations. No hidden charges compared to other cinema houses weve been before. We will never forget to tell all of my friends and family about this incredible place for sure. Try their services and you won’t regret it for sure.
It was so sad to know how underrated this cinema house. I mean this place should be known by others because this cinema house was such an amazing place. The screen was so big and the speakers were not too loud. The snacks that can be bought here were so tasty especially the popcorn it was so delicious. The chairs were so comfy and cozy to sit on. I will surely visit this cinema house again.
Gotta love the dome. I see movies here as often as possible. The props and consumes they put in the lobby are really cool too.
My fave movie theater awaiting for reopening due to covid19
Best place to see movies in LA. Closed during COVID so leaving a 5 star review now in hopes the pixie dust makes this place reopen soon.
Great ambiance and a good selection of movie genres to choose from and offered a different array of movie snacks and beer. I order a jalapeno and cheese pretzel; but, I got a stale, over priced, raw dough in one area jalapeno and cheese pretzel. Took it back and got a fresh one but the dough was still a little under cooked in a small area. I wont be ordering that again. The popcorn was great, hot, buttery and just the right amount of salt. Hope next time my experience will be better.
Nice movie theaters. Not sofa like comfortable chairs. Easy to find theater along Sunset Blvd with the Dome structure as your point of interest. Parking is nearby with validations ($3 for 4 hours). On the other hand, not related to this theater, while waiting for the movie to start, these two people seating nearby were conversing with each other about immigration and latinos crossing the border illegaly and taking all the benefits, etc. Dont want to be nosy but their conversation is loud and clear. the old caucasian guy is telling how he loves Trump and hates these mexicans crossing the border. He said he voted for hillary but soon change hia affiliation to the current presidential. He didnt realized that hes talking to one. The young guy in a softer voice told him, I am latino. Old guy somewhat surprised and toned down his rhetorics. Old guy left the movie half way.
This theatre is amazing! There is so much L.A history in this place that it takes you back in time. The seats are very comfortable and the space between you and the person next to you is very generous. There are regular size screens and also IMAX sized screens for your viewing pleasure. If youre into art there are several pieces that can be found in the theater. It has a historic yet fresh vibe to it and I loved it!
Best pop corn. Trust me, its NOT all the same. Ive lived in Los Angeles my whole life and this theater in this neighborhood next to the Cinerama Dome respects film in all forms. The Q and As that this theater holds goes above and beyond. Great selection of both Hollywood blockbuster shown alongside absolute classics and off the beaten path indies. A real theater...imagine that.
The reason for 4 stars is the seats at this theater. Cinema 3 has torn old chairs that provide no cushion when sitting during a long movie. I love that this theater is massive and there is so much room. Just to match the outside it needs an update on the chairs for the price you pay for the tickets the seats should be at least comfortable. Come on Arclight you can definitely do that!
They need to renovate the auditoriums! The front lobby looks nice and modern but the theatre halls need work. I expected modern, large, reclining chairs with ample leg room. You actually get old and not very comfortable chairs with fabric that looks as worn and clean as the back of a 40 year old taxi. They need to renovate everything. The floors, seats, seat spacing, lighting, cup holders, you name it. Give it that fresh new smell and feel.
A nice theater. The restaurant has really good food. I really appreciate the quick service in the restaurant and concession stands. Which meant we werent late for the movie. Also no long borrowing movie previews just the movie.
Line to get in parking lot, then line to buy tickets, then line to get ticket scanned only to be told Im 6 min late and they dont accept people after 5min. And to top it off I cant get my money back, all I get was a rebate. Cmon are watching ads that important?
Came in to see Midway. This theater is so nice, they have a bar, which is awesome because you can get a good buzz on before the movie starts. They always have cool props and displays from movies which is always cool to see. They also have the nicest restroom Ive seen inside of a theater. The only knock on this place is the seats are kind of uncomfortable, but its a cool place my new favorite theater.
All ArcLight locations have reserved seating. ArcLight Hollywood’s cinerama dome is a Los Angeles treasure! The cafe bar at this location is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat before or after the show along with a great beverage menu. You might even spot a few Hollywood celebrities hanging around. A lot of filmmakers and crew come here to watch movies. If you are a movie buff consider becoming a member of Arclight cinemas. It’s totally worth it. Be aware that if you are late for your show, especially for a Dome screening, you will not be admitted. You will get free ticket stubs to reserve seats for another show. Parking is $3 with theatre validation.
Cool theater for a date or just for fun. Beautiful interior and welcoming staff. It has a bar and restaurant inside and even some awesome artwork throughout the space. Parking structure has plenty of spots and you can get validation so it’s affordable to park there and easy to get to the theater.
Lived down the street from this place for three years and have never stepped foot into it until this past weekend--my biggest regret is not stepping in sooner.
The Cinerama Dome is a staple of my childhood and will always be one of my favorite theaters to watch films at. I was really disappointed when I was the very last movie”The Gladiator” being played before the renovation. I actually thought they were destroy and put up a lame theater, but I’m glad they didn’t do that. They kept the history alive. The ArcLight theater itself has stadium seating and you’re able to pick your seats through their website, ArcLight app, or just by walking in. The seats are comfortable and they offer 21+ screens too. What I also like is they’re month selection of older film you can view.
My favorite Cinemas in all of Hollywood. Absolutely stunning venue with plenty to do around it after the film is over. They have a great bar area, are more on time with less commercials than most theatres, and consistently have the best and newest films playing. Best place to be in town for a movie!
Social distancing... Good solution to a real problem. There were four other couples so 10 people were able to sit far apart and enjoy the movie without endangering anyone and helping economy to stay afloat.
My favorite part about this theater are the costume displays. They never disappoint with the movie props and wardrobe! The theaters are also clean and professionally run. The only downside is the price of a ticket is a little steep but... you get what you pay for!
Arclight cinemas in Hollywood is our favorite go to movie place!! We even have membership there and love the little perks. Seats are very comfortable and the bathrooms are so nicely renovated and clean!
Tickets are about $15 bucks, reserve your own seating, order actual good good and bevvies and have them delivered during the movie. The popcorn is good. Its comfy and well thought out. I cant wait to come here again.
Cool theater in the middle of Hollywood. The lobby often has different costumes or props for viewing of current or upcoming movies. Pretty big theater. It also has the dome which can be a fun experience to see a movie.
I thought this movie theater was great. I dont have any complaints about this place. This was a overall A+ experience. The food was good, the prices were average. I recommend this theater to all.
I love this theater. It is my favorite and have always the movies I’ve seen here. It been worth the hour drive to and from home. I go about one time a month to see a movie. I’m awed by the art displays and production costumes also on displays. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.Go once, I’m sure you’ll like it too. Don’t forget to validate your parking. As for parking, sometimes that gets a bit challenging but it is what it is.
Pre-pandemic, not bad to have some movie fun with friends.
This is certainly a theater worth its salt and deserving of its multi tiered hype. Great and comfortable interiors, kind and helpful staff and a grand variety of choices. The concession stand stacks up a lot of good food and the history behind the dome is fundamental L.A. Certainly worth going here to see a movie if youre new to town or visiting.
Eric at the ticket booth went above and beyond in accommodating us for a later matinee, great customer service and attitude. Little bar area was very cool. Great bartender. Theatre is clean and seats are comfy. Definitely recommend this theatre. 5 stars
My friends and I visited LA at the end of July to see “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”. We went to the dome on opening night and oh my God if this isn’t the perfect place to watch a movie. The experience was so lively and youthful. People cheered and applauded the film. Watching a movie in Hollywood at the cinerama dome is so unlike watching a Movie back home In Minnesota. You need to experience the dome!
An extraordinary place for cinephiles to gather to watch films in the most incredible setting. This isnt just a movie theater, is a piece of Hollywood folklore, with a big movies get shown on the big screens, the seats are comfortable, and everyone that works there loves the art of Cinema. Parking this easy, lines are short, concessions are great, one of the best places ever to see a movie. The screens are huge, a real Hollywood Movie experience.
I love coming here for the premieres and the private screenings.. great parking and great food and great service.
Its awesome with a restaurant and bar what more could you ask than a motel down the road and they have those too.
I mean what is there to say - Arclight is clean, big, and the parking lot adjacent makes taking trips to the movies a breeze.
A GREAT place for movies.Long lines sometimes, but they have the popular films.Nice snack area. This place is also photo worthy both outside and in.One of my favorite movie theaters.George Vreeland Hill
This used to be my go-to spot for movies.Last time I went here was MLK Day. Went to a matinee. It was $20.50. Im assuming that was some holiday pricing.Im sorry to say, no one in Hollywood or anywhere else is making any cinema thats worth that much for the price of one viewing. Especially in 2D in the middle of the afternoon on a week day. There were also crumbs I had to flick off the seat upon arrival. There were also M&Ms among other food stuffs on the floor in front of my seat.Under normal circumstances, maybe tolerable, but for $20.50 a head, I feel like you could afford to have someone make their way through with a broom and a dustpan. Especially M&Ms. I feel like if cleaning theaters was a part of my job description, sweeping up M&Ms would be the highlight because it would be like hockey. In addition to all that, at this particular showing, a fellow theater patron called me a f-ing a-hole a good half a dozen times because I booked the seat one seat away from his. I guess the barrier of an entire empty seat was not enough for this mentally ill gentleman. I never looked directly at him, cause Ive seen Raiders of the Lost Ark, but peripherally he looked like the food critic from Ratatouille.Anyway, all of that I think has permanently put me off this place. If I wanted to sit in crumbs and get cursed at by deranged bullies, I could just invent time travel and go back to junior high and do it for free. So, good news mentally ill Ratatouille food critic looking dude, if its up to me, you should have entire rows to yourself in the future.Enjoy.
Dori’s customer service at the concessions bar was one of a kind! He was very sweet and a great addition to our wonderful movie experience!
Incredible iconic cinema with retro styling throughout. Picture and sound quality in the dome were both 10/10.
It’s not THE BEST of the movie theaters with good food and alcoholic beverages - the seats desperately need an upgrade — but it’s true what they say about the caramel popcorn. It’s to die for!!
ArcLight is a high quality theater offering an outstanding movie-going experience for anybody lucky enough to be able to visit one. Seats can be reserved online, so there is no worrying about sellout shows, waiting in lines, or getting stuck with seats you dont like. At the Hollywood location, the lobby is lovely and spacious and contains, on one side, a cafe which offers a well rounded menu and well stocked bar. The Hollywood location also sports a historic Dome theater, built in the mid twentieth century, which has been restored and is used for some of their 3D movies showings. The ArcLight theater seats are large and comfortable, and reserved at the time of purchase. If you are going with friends, and you really want to sit together, you may want to have one person get the tickets for the whole party in a single order to ensure you get adjacent seats. If you havent been to an ArcLight theater and have the opportunity, I highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed the aesthetics of the theater itself. Has such a rich history and significance to the film industry and Los Angeles. The updated section is simply beautiful. I would have preferred the nostalgia of the original dome, but they seem to only to screen special showings there. We went for a late showing of It: Chapter Two. Because we had not eaten dinner, we wanted to try their concessions and bar.The bar had an assortment of cocktails themed around movies. We also tried their house beer. It was good, though service was a little dispassionate. Because we were arriving around 9, they were no longer serving food at the café that adjoins the bar. It looked good from the menu, but they were *very* outspoken about the kitchen being closed without even making suggestions for which concessions were good or anything. We went on to the theater and grabbed a large buttered popcorn, with real butter, the stuffed pretzel, and a hotdog. The popcorn was really good. However, no salts were present. They gave us little packets of salt as an alternative. The hotdog was good— no complaints there. We bought the stuffed pretzel at the recommendation of the girl at the counter and found it to be lackluster. Would opt for the regular pretzel sticks next time. We grabbed a “movie-pour” of the house beer for the movie and found it to be good.In terms of the screens and sound— excellent. Seats— not so much. I felt like I was sitting on a public bus seat. I’m talking hair, dog hair, sand??, and crusty spots on almost every seat in sight. We sat in our assigned seats, but I felt grossed out and even reluctant to put my head back. On top of that, the seats were not comfortable. They had no lean. Some recommendations: add a couple more simple menu items to remain competitive with places like Alamo Drafthouse (my favorite theater) and give people an actual reason to pay $16 for the movie tickets. Keep a limited bar menu for late night movies. Moreover, I could have sat in a lawn chair on a rooftop in LA for the same price and had arguably better seats. Improving or even cleaning the seats would make a difference.Would I go back? No. I’d probably head somewhere more affordable. But it’s definitely worth walking inside to look around, if anything.
Incredible theater. Reserved seats. Loads to look at so come early to check out out!
Nice theater. Saw Ford V Ferrari. The sound system was certainly up to the task of reproducing all the deep engine sounds. In fact, it was a little too loud for me - had a headache at the end of the show.
Great theater! Reserved seating. Very few previews.
A great place to see a movie with no commercials and only a few previews the movies actually start on time. Great sound.Note: Its time for some maintenance like some new seats. For the location this place is seating should be high end.
I’ve been to different Arclight Theaters and they’ve been amazing and so comfortable. This on the other hand has been the worse theater I’ve been too.For a $20 dollar ticket these seats are sooooo badIf it wasn’t for the Avengers I would of probably walked outLast time I come here
Parking is a big issue here have to get validation but the Theater is amazing
Arclight Hollywood its the best movie theater in Los Angeles, Hollywood. The cleanest, always visited by some type of celebrity. I really like adult only theater. The only missing part is that is not too friendly for the families, its more like nightlife as a date spot. More cleaner than other theathers, havent spotted yet the popcorn trick of cleaning it in 5 minutes. Just sweeping popcorn under the sits.Good job Arclight team.
When ever possible and when money allows, this has to be one of my favorite places to see films. In the dome or in the theater, the experience is always exactly what I expect it to be and I am never disappointed. If I lived closer, I would go there all the time.
The area and the look and feel of the theater just makes for a great time. The only real peace I had while in Los Angeles.
Picture, sound quality, comfortable seats etc, Just Wow!!
Grest theater that always has a good atmosphere. Expect to see a sprinkling of celebs here (A & B) at the late night weekend showings.
The dome on its own has horrible seating. They really hobbled the venue by claiming the seating is historical. The smaller theaters onsite have good seating. Check out the seating in the Seattle Cinerama Dome same historic film experience with way better seats.
Very nice & clean theater in Los Angeles. Parking is very convenient; however one can expect to pay $2 to $3, after validation. During the weekdays, the whole place was not crowded. Therefore, one can pretty much pick any available seats. Their surround sound was impressive, but not sure it has the latest ATMOS or not, since I was unable to hear sound bouncing off the ceiling. Very pleased that I had the chance to checkout one of the finest theaters in LA.
Large theaters, big screens, comfortable seats, good sound system and lots of parking. Arclight has some of the best theaters in LA.
Just saw the premiere of High Strung: Free Dance at the Archlight. What a fantastic movie. Inspirational for my 12 year old daughter AND my wife and me! Theater staff was friendly and accommodating.
Parking will get you lost for sure hehe. Great cinema... not my favorite!
Finally went and saw a movie at the dome! It was beautiful. I normally choose seats towards the back. Its more like a stage performance theater, so if I were to go again, Id try to get a seat on first balcony. It is a beautiful space though and makes seeing a movie feel like a proper event.
When you are in Hollywood, make sure to put this on your bucket list, a landmark that you cannot miss. Often times, they Ill have special previews and stars would show up at this place. So, check it out!
Beautiful theatre. Nice seats.
I mean it’s fine, it’s an Arclight, so of course it is expensive. Good place to watch movies on a massive screen, the seats are dusty. Also this area is shady at night (it is Hollywood)
Fantastic theater with fantastic large seats and clean. Very roomy!
Clean, quick service, big theatres and every seat is a good view. the food isnt crazy overpriced. For example, my stuffed pretzel was about 4 -5 bucks so thats not bad!
Came here for a screening of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The whole experience was incredible. My daughter and I had never been here and imagine being in the Arclight Dome watching this moving and The Dome comes on the big screen?! There was a Q&A with Tarantino, DiCaprio and Pitt afterwards which was amazing. Staff and security all friendly. They validate and parking was easy.
Amazing experience for my first outing in years due to medical issues. The staff went over and beyond to not only accommodate my physical needs but comfort and enjoyment. And that screen and audio were sensational immersion into the movie.
Wonderful Scenery, Great places around to get your grub on, and for the music lovers Amoeba is a light sprint away. (Next block over)The Dome is an experience you will not forget. Definitely a must.Snacks Ive got to say are quite over priced. In the end, great place to watch a movie and really see the big screen.
Wonderful place!!!Recommending to all ages for taking good time with friends and family
My favorite place to go see movies! Love that you can select your own seats!
You do pay for parking. Validated at 3 bucks. They have great sound system.
Great place to enjoy a movie, relax and get away
Very nice theater, very up to date. Love how they always have movie props from the movies theyre showing at the time. Sometimes they even have bonus info on the movies before or after the film begins. Snacks can be a little pricey but thats all theaters at this point.
Premieres, screenings, restaurants, a film school, Amoeba records, its a must go! Very pretty walk too.
This is like going to a country club movie theater. You pay a lot to get in, but concession prices are respectable. The screens and sound are both top notch. Everything seemed clean. Maybe not worth it every time, but definitely nice every now and again.
Spiderman Far from Home loved the movie and we found the Golden Ticket a promotion from Caramel Corn!!! We love The ArcLight Cinema Hollywood!
This is a really fun old theater! The quality is pretty darn good too! I will definitely come again.
This cinema is great. The staff members are friendly, and the food is delicious. The best part is: they have outstanding service. My family drove our car to his mall, and bought movie tickets and food and got our parking ticket validated. Once the movie was over, we went back to our car to find our ticket missing! Turns out we didnt take out ticket when we bought our food. They had it well kept, so hey saved us the all-day fee. Overall a location I recommend.
Best place in LA to see a movie! Great bar,Amazing food. Seats are very comfortable and wide!
Fantastic place to watch any movie, plus Stella Barra is always a great place for a meal. The staff are always polite and courteous to customers.
