More of a modern art installation than a place that celebrates play. Mostly subdued musically; I would have liked a dance beat throughout. Be sure to visit with playful friends, otherwise you will be bored. Youll be through the whole place in just over an hour. Best was the last few minutes of a musical video game where animated avatars follow you around.

Flutter is a interactive exhibit in which you can submerge yourself. I only gave it 4 stars, because I wish the exhibit had been larger. There are mirrored rooms with mylar, furry rooms you can touch, and rooms you can sit and chill out. My favorite room has projectors and plays music to videos of oceans, trees and other calming images. Overall, it was a place to turn off your brain.

Wonderful! Spent a joyous Sunday morning playing and laughing with my husband in each of the nine rooms. From sitting quietly coloring printed pages to sitting in a bathtub full of rubber ducks to dancing around in a mirrored room, we had a fabulous time. Our favorite was the room lined with reflective silver mylar balloons listening to a gentle stream while a giant eyeball watched us from a screen. Sounds weird but it was actually very peaceful and relaxing! Thank you so much for putting together this wonderful playhouse and cant wait to be back in a few months for a whole new experience! Go early so you can take your time and bring your cameras!

Interactive art installation to inspire and promote positivity. Every artist bright a different angle to the theme. Some areas you just let the art flow over you, others you become part of the piece. I liked the music video room with LA views in the background. The staff was very informative and guided crowds through the installation with ease. Such a different way to experience art.

This was an extremely fun family day. Each room was unique, interactive and therapeutic. They limit the amount of guests so it was not crowded and we were able to enjoy each room. The kids were able to go back and visit their favorite rooms 2-3 additional times. We spent about an hour touring and will definitely come back again as we were informed the exhibits change.

This place was amazing, meaningful and beautiful. I loved the cause the messages the artists convey. The guides are passionate about the experience and it’s definitely one-of-a-kind. I highly recommend to locals and tourists alike. We will definitely be back when we return to town!!

FLUTTER Experience was such a unique experience, and their mission is worth paying attention to - they partnered with Born This Way Foundation, who advise them on mental health and youth engagement issues. Their staff is super nice, and explained the meaning of each room to us. Worth a visit!We parked on the street, right in front of the exhibit.

Absolutely loved The flutter experience and the message it stands for because I believe Art does save lives. Everyone was very informative the staff was great and each room gave me such awesome nostalgic vibes. My girls and I highly would recommend it to everyone we had a wonderful Saturday and the start to it was at the flutter experience

I was a little bit nervous at first because I wasn’t sure what was expected of me. But this ended up being really fun. Numerous tiny art installations that were variously beautiful, interesting, or fun to interact with.All of it had the quality of a dream that doesn’t dissolve the way real dreams do. I particularly loved the neon face paint, and went to town on it. This was a relaxing and healing experience.

My 8yr old nieces and I enjoyed the place. It offers lots of places to play. Our favorite rooms were the glowing paint, the sensor room that projects you on the wall, the music video dance room, the make-your-own-shape art room, and the percussion instrument room. It was lots of fun! And very interesting!

Wonderful interactive experience in multiple mediums. The founder of the exhibit took the time to explain how he created it and where it was going. The staff were very informative and added to the expression. Great knowing part of the proceeds go to help people in need!

Bonus is the talented collective of artists from all walks of life who have put their energy toward creating a vision of a world where all are welcome and no one need hide who they really are.

Flutter is not just a leap into an ethereal dream playground, it’s an escape for the soul - an oasis of calming sound and light in the midst of the traffic and siren screams of the city. I brought my daughter and my husband and we had a blast exploring the different rooms.It was well organized and the guides were informative and welcoming. I could have only wished for more alone time in each exhibit.

Dont get me wrong this place is super cool. If it was less crowded. It was a great time but having a lot of people or large groups of superficial people within the same small room as us made me pretty claustrophobic, and I dont normally get that way. Its suppose to be a nice, relaxing, mental health supportive art place... that is overcrowded and full of stressed out workers. Musics nice though, if you can hear it.

The best! Allowed your creativity to shine through and just let your inner child come out to play. Loved everything about this and I will be back for sure. Also the staff was more than helpful and they all were knowledgeable about each exhibit. 10 out of 10. Bravo!

Wonderful and fun! My wife and I went there for a date and had a great time. I loved that each room engaged all the senses and encouraged interaction. We got lots of awesome pictures there! The staff were helpful and explained the ideas behind each room to us. I also appreciated that they scheduled visits so there were never too many people at a time. There are lots of restaurants on nearby Melrose and La Brea, so our visit was easy to combine with lunch or dinner.

Flutter is a really cool and interactive space where you can forget about everything and just have fun.Unlike any museum I’ve been too, flutter encourages you to let your imagination run wild and free.I have a few favorite installations but there’s one called Illusion that blew my mind. Interactive and relaxing all in one spot! I could have spent hours at this gallery!Flutter brings out the artist in you!

Unexpectedly amazing experience! My girlfriend and I were just looking for stuff to do after breakfast and we noticed this place we had not seen before. Definitely more than we expected, seems like a small place but turned out to be a spacious and interactive fun experience!

Flutter Experience is exactly how its described in the name, an experience. Each room is absolutely beautiful and unique and my friend and I were able to take amazing photos in each room. This exhibit is definitely worth checking out and going to.

FB suggested me to check out this place. I just quickly picked on the Instagram pics to realize that was something I would enjoy. The rooms are all very well designed by artists making the experience like an interactive experience in a contemporary museum. The place wasn’t overcrowded when we went so we had time to spend and experience all the rooms, the guides gently guided and explained the artists intent and what was allowed to do in each rooms.I was excited to hear that this is a permanent interactive place where they will offer different experiences. A must go for everyone who loves contemporary art.

I’ve been meaning to write this review since I went in July—an absolutely transportive and ineffably delightful experience! Being able to really dig-in and interact with each composition was a truly wonderful combination of inner-child fun and intellectual stimulation. I went for my birthday with a couple of friends, and 3 1/2 hours flew by. Each artist’s creative voice left a meaningful memory etched in my mind. I would love to take it all in again. From the enthusiastic guides, to chatting with the owner who envisioned this beacon of joy, to the experience itself, I just can’t recommend it highly enough; it’s definitely a must in my book!

Very cool place with lots of interesting art. The staff is very warm and friendly and graciously showed us around while explaining the different art installations. Personal favorite was the music room and the blacklight room. All are fun though and definitely a great experience!

First off, i found out about this art space from a friend who told me i should check it out. After buying my tickets & going, i must say it’s a different experience from any art space I’ve been to. Each room is different & interactive, & worth every penny & 2 hours you’ll spend. I had so much fun inside i lost my AirPods in one of the rooms! But luckily the people there are so awesome they found them & kept them for me to pick up. This place needs 7 stars on awesomeness.

This art space is amazing! All of the art is interactive and touchable. The vibe is all about being playful, and even though it’s all very instagrammable, you find yourself not really reaching for your phone because you’re too busy playing. Totally check it out!

Good service and everything. But If you are sensitive to nudity don’t come here!!! Also we waited 20 min for some music video people in the dancing room and it was annoying and we told them but they didn’t do anything.

I came here with my friend from the Bay Area. Hes been to pop-ups in SF before, so he wanted to find one for us to do while he was visiting LA. He found Flutter for us, and let me tell you. We walked in and the owner told us it was a space that was so much more, and he was right!I would recommend spending a little bit of time taking in each room, I feel you might find something a little deeper than an instagram-able post (however, it is also that! and you can get creative with it).Would definitely recommend coming here with an older demographic that can appreciate it for art, and not just because its interactive.Its a permanent space, but the installations will change, so catch them while you can before they change them in a few months!PS. there are no shoes allowed, so if you want to take good pics, incorporate some cute/nice socks as part of the fit!!
