Take a wide angle lens or else your pictures wont come out too good! Just a little side note. Wish someone wouldve told us that because our iPhone wasnt picking up the pictures like why weve envision. $25 admission but do the yelp check on for $5 off!
ATK girlfriend brings me here. If you know what I mean.
To preface, I have no idea what the drinks situation is, really, because we came having pre-gamed, but this event was so much fun! Whomever is giving the spiel in the planetarium should be given all the raises, because he was absolutely fantastic. The aquarium is worth the ticket price alone - we all made a deep, emotional connection with their beautiful alligator. This was a really fantastic time; wed definitely return!
Place is alright. Not worth $25 but its okay. Seemed pretty Run down for only being open a little over a year now. Pretty small but hopefully they add more or lower the price. Theres a restroom so thats always a plus for Hollywood and staff were there to help take photos.
A bit small and homespun for the $20 price tag, but fun on a rainy day and worth doing once if you have kids or are otherwise selfie-obsessed. The Iron Throne and emoji ball pit are fun. You can look like youre floating in your bedroom, pose for a step-and-repeat at the Selfie Awards, and take a bath in a tub filled with gold coins. There are even some staged vignettes that show you how to pose so you can tell a funny story frame by frame. Of course it doesnt matter if youve REALLY done any of the above—this is the age of social media. The Museum of Selfies is not the museum we want, but its the museum we deserve.
This place was super fun! It was very quiet when we went, only a few other people were there, so we were able to spend a lot of time snapping selfies and had a ton of fun! There is a good variety of backdrops and I was surprised to see there was actual historic information about photography and selfies throughout the museum. Its definitely worth a visit and we will be back next time we are in California!
Pretty unique and fun place but its small and if it does get packed you might have to wait for minutes to wait for your turn. I went to day and people in groups come and take pictures and if you end up behind them youll spend almost all your day inside. It is pretty and creative, its a good experience but I probably wont go again though.
Nice place! Day well spent! Great experience!
This place is fun, smaller than I expected but with a lot of information about selfies as well as several sets to make a memorable selfie. The place was not packed so it was easy to takes pictures without waiting. The owners were there, they are the nicest people, explaining the exhibits and helping to take the best pictures. I was expecting to be there for 1h but ended up spending more than 9p minutes. I just wish they had more exhibits and the lighting was better. Plenty street parking and on a City lot about 1 block away.
Had a great time
Its really just okay to be honest. There are about 12 rooms or so. One or two are nice but after going and taking pictures, would I ever go again or tell someone else to go...? Probably not. Definitely not worth $25 per person. More like a great $10 value in my opinion.
A bit on the expensive side, this is still a super fun place to spend a couple of hours. Some interesting info on the history of the selfie, with lots of fantastic setups for pictures. Plus, they provide you with a selfie stick to use while visiting.
Had lots of fun! My boyfriend & I purchased the VIP tickets which was the best idea ever! Our personal photographer (Elijah) captured some beautiful & fun pictures we’ll treasure for ever! I definitely recommend anyone to go visit this place!
Fun place to visit. Love the jokes and sets created. Place is a bit small... but still loads of options.
So much fun.. Cant wait to go back and bring the kids
The museum of selfies is so cool. The museum is a self walk-through museum where you can take selfie‘s.They Provide you with a selfie stick if you don’t already have one,but you return it when you are done at museum. I purchased my ticket online and with tax and fees my ticket cost $27.05 .The location is on Hollywood blvd and there was so much traffic and it was hard to find parking. I suggest taking a Lyft and getting dropped off so you don’t have to worry about parking and somebody else can drive in the Hollywood bvd madness. I was having trouble taking selfies and coming up with cool ideas so the helpers stepped in. They have people that work there that can take pictures for you or give you ideas which helped me out so much. I went at 11 AM it wasn’t crowded but later on in the day more people started to come and then you have to wait your turn to take pictures in the different areas. My suggestion would be to go as earlier as you can so it’s not that crowded and you don’t have to wait to take selfie‘s. The people that work there are very nice and had great customer service it’s a fun museum you won’t be disappointed.
Had the absolute BEST time here! I did the VIP tour and my tour guide/ professional photographer was amazing. She guided me in the best way to piste for certain exhibits when I wasn’t sure and the photos I received from the professional camera are completely amazing. I would highly recommend the museum of selfies and especially the professional tour. These photos are hilarious and Instagram gold.
Fun museum on Hollywood Blvd. Took about and hour to go through.
It was pretty cool, I had some time to kill and why not do it by taking random shots of yourself. I just wish there were more attractions. Theres only Maybe 6/7 exhibits
Fun place to explore it is expensive but you get more then enough time to spend to go through each room and for photos
Kids wanted to go. It was a tourist trap, but the kids and we all enjoyed. So it was worth it. The kids were happy and thats what the vacation is about. Go early to avoid crowds.
Super fun. Love the idea. Stopped here for my birthday and got a lot of unique pictures with friends. Hope this becomes a permanent installment. Staff was nice too and had nice recommendations for pictures! You can borrow a selfie stick for free here to take pictures if you like
Check out local culture and support local museums.
I was unpleasantly surprised, not worth the entry free, was expecting a lot more.
Worth the spontaneous trip!
Its honestly the best pop up type museum. The employees are amazing and the atmosphere is great. Theyve got a lot of fun things to do. If youre in Hollywood and looking to go do something fun, the Museum of Selfies is the place to go.
Visit this place early in the morning. We had a great time. Thanks
They have taken the idea of the selfie and elevated it to an artform by giving it historical context and them creating a series of environments for making your own selfies. A genius concept for for time. Im proud and happy to have some of my infinity boxes there #the_infinity_boxesExplore, create and have fun!
Great place with sets to take fun shots. Admission is a little expensive but you can take a bunch of shots on different sets in a short period of time.
Great place to visit, lots to do and be creative.
I honestly would have never thought to go inside but I am happy I did. Tons of selfies you can take and employees around to help you come up with ideas. Without that it may not have been as fun but with their help it certainly was!!
Great place!!! Definitely best pop up museum. Very good location and unique experience. Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, willing to provide best possible experience. I was with my two kids and had a lot of fun! Highly recommended.
20$ ticket and average will spend 90 mins in there. Smiley ball bed is favourite of all
This is a fun interactive exhibit for all ages. Lots of interesting art, historical notes, fun facts. Museum of Selfies reflects on the idea that self-image phenomena is part of being human. Made me re-think a lot of stuff and all while having tons of fun and taking photos.
Its a ton of fun being silly. The A/C felt like a swamp color, though. So dress lightly.
Love this place has so many unique stations to take pictures I hope the can make [email protected]
If you are someone who loves posting pictures. This is a place for you. Its important that you use help of a guide orherwise you will not be able to understand the concept of some props . Different kinda place
Loved it. Must go to when in LA
Had a blast here even if its in the heart of crazy town. Better than other picture themed places Ive been too
This place was amazing! There were alot of great exhibits. The staff was super friendly! We asked what the most popular poses were and what we can do to make the pictures more exciting. They offered multiple suggestions and even take pictures for you if needed. If you do no own a selfie stick they provide one for you for free. They also have 2 stations that has an automatic camera that can send the pic to your email or phone.
Super fun place a must go in La!
That was great experience)) I was here with my family and really enjoyed it, for the last time we visited so many different museums Museum Of Selfies definitely worth to visit it. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Im disappointed. The staff was wonderful but. .. $25 is way too expensive for what they offer. I only enjoyed the last 2 rooms. The bathroom had no tissue, no toilet paper and no soap. Overall I enjoyed myself but disappointed because it was a complete waste of time.
The pr person is terrible. Sadly, if they employ someone like this you have to wonder what the experience is like. We were invited and then uninvited to an event. So tacky. She couldn’t take 1 minute to find out if pets were allowed. Let’s not support a place like this. She’s beyond unprofessional.
Cheaply done. Small. Not worth the price. Most of the props are warm out, broken, old and cheap. Theres a sign when you pay saying no refunds for a reason.
It was okay, I found it quite interesting but I think it should be priced at about 10 or 12 dollars rather than $25. Complete ripoff.
Fun place for photos. Nice how they limit the number of people so it feels like you have the place to yourself, dont feel like you have to rush and the staff will take photos of you so you dont need a selfie stick.
Kids had lots of fun. Ages ranged from 11 - 17 boys and girls. Spent about an hour and a half. Pictures came out great!
Had a great time, the staff was wonderful. Kimberly checked us in and Jeffery is best with assisting you on taking a great picture and getting the best experience. Would do it again.
Fun and great for family fun. Sometimes some people take forever since they want professional photos instead of just having fun.
I have to say it is one of the best pop up museum, we had a lot of fun. They have tons of different expositions where you can feel yourself like a movie start or celebrity! The price is much way better compared to the other pop up museums! Highly reccomended to visit.
What a great place to take selfies me and my family enjoyed it
We had a lot of fun. We did a lot pop up museums like ice cream, Candytopya and I have to say we enjoyed Museum of Selfies much more. They have 15 different expositions and tons of cool pictures, my favorite one is the roof top and David.
This place is magnificent and I love how beautiful this place is
Good job getting a name drop in the Oscars
Amazing came from NYC to come here
2 people must go in to get the best pictures
Selfie museum was pretty entertaining. Go with someone and have fun.
It was one of the best pop-up museums that I’ve visited so far. The art is incredible and done with great detail. You can see that there was a lot of effort put into creative an immersive atmosphere. The staff is also highly professional yet very friendly, the experience was great
Absolutely loved museum of selfies, very interactive. Amazing expositions, with a lot of details and cool elements. All employees are very friendly and ready to help you take any pictures you want. I really recommend this museum to everyone.
Great time. Such a laugh
Great place to take pictures! They provide you with a free selfie stick. Staff is friendly.
I had fun wish they gave a gift or souvenir of some sort
Absolutely amazing. A mini Hollywood set experience. Several illusions sets. My favorite was the bedroom set.
Fun fun fun....my grand daughter had a great time....need to have more selfie photo opportunities....fun fun fun
Such a unique and fun place, we had so many laughs with our kids
That was great!!! I did not expect that Museum Of Selfies can provide so unique experience, I was in Ice Cream and Candytopyia and this is definitely something different and more interesting! A lot of blast! Highly recommended for all ages!
Im a solo traveler and I had a lot of fun doing this one!
I went here yesterday and had a blast the props were pretty cool! I was able to take a lot of amazing photos... the lighting hunney was everything! Matthew and Sherene were absolutely wonderful they were very helpful with photos, ideas and attentive! They had such wonderful personalities ( thanks guys) the pricing was a bit much but it’s hollywood so I guess that’s expected lol. Other then that...... I’ll definitely be bringing my kids back to enjoy it as well
Great and funny place!
Good place to vist. A lot good thinks tho see for 20 dlls.
It was cheap fun very interesting place should definitely check it out
It was fun, one time thing though.
My friends were sceptical to go in but after the amount we laughed while taking ridiculous pictures, Im glad I convinced them!
This place was alright, but our visit had its pros and cons.First, I would say they had a good mix of interesting, unique and interactive exhibits. I appreciated that some exhibits had visual instructions on how to take the best photo. Some exhibits like the ball pit were just plain fun, while others like the rotated bedroom providided for very unique photos. On our partricular visit, we arrived on time as our tickets said 10-12. They were not open at 10, and only after finding a number to call did they tell me they were running behind that morning (no apologies) and that theyd be five minutes late or so. They ended up opening 10-15 minutes late, which wasnt so bad, but the real pain was that though they let us in, about halfway through we found that the second half wasnt open yet and was still being cleaned. Why? Because there had been a party the previous night, which was apparently pretty messy, and they hadnt come in early to clean up after it. This put another 10-15 min wait into our visit.Ive been to better insta-museums that were cleaner and nicer overall, but the mix of delays and lack of apologies really hurt my impressions. If museum of ice cream is a five, Id have given this a four, but the disruptions pushed that down to a three. We still managed to have some fun here, and that was its saving grace, ultimately.
Its kinda of a neat place to take pictures you just have to wait sometimes to take pictures in another room because other people are in there taking pictures the have employees always walking around they are nice though
Such a neat place and got the whole museum to our self
A lot of fun
I love selfies
Definitely an interesting install. Theres plenty of selfie options and interactive exhibits. The education aspect is lacking and feels somewhat like an art student project. Worth going if you want some good photo ops and have the money to spare.
Visited this place couple days ago, while visiting Hollywood Blvd. Very new and cool place, not as usual businesses nearby, defenetly worh a try if you want to take some cool pictures! Very clean and fresh design!
Definitely worth it. They give you a selfie stick as well. Not a huge place but a lot of fun. Good selfies and art.
If you are looking for a place for instagram photos or if you want to have amazing wonderful colorful pictures, then it is the place.I booked tickets for this place online, adult ticket is for $25 and online you also need to pay some taxes. So, I would suggest from my mistake that buy tickets over the counter so that you don’t have to pay for any taxes. Also, for students there is 20% discount, which you would not know through online website. So please carry you student ID to avail discount. Also there you can rent selfie stick for $5, but honestly you would require selfie stick for one picture which seems you are taking picture from really top, for rest of the spots you would be needing someone to click, so basically stick was the waste of money. But one more suggestion, always ask the employee working there for the trick on how to click picture of each spot, because every place has some way to take picture, which turns out to be magical, though instructions are written on board for some place but not for every.DO ASK THE EMPLOYEE FOR THE TRICK TO CLICK and BUY TICKET OVER THE COUNTER and CARRY YOUR STUDENT ID For DISCOUNT!Overall wonderful experience, it took us 2 hours to cover all and have best picture
Its a lot of fun, go there with friends, relax and enjoy the experience.
Got to take some awesome pics, the staff was friendly and I really enjoyed my experience here
Museum of selfies is so much fun, cant wait to bring my friends next trip.
