Frederick Recreation Area

I love this lake and taking a walk on the path (1.26 miles) around the lake. For me, there is a serenity at this lake and you can catch some really nice sunsets and views of the front range mountains. The lake can get stinky at times, but the conditions of the lake are great for fishing and theres a lot of birds to check out.

This was amazing. I love the mountains anyway, but mix in glass-smooth water and its even better!

Pretty park to take the kiddos and dogs for a nice walk.

Nice little reservoir. It has a walking path around the whole thing with great views of the mountains. There is a small dog park with limited shade and no water. There are typically people catching fish and lots of places to fish. There are restrooms and trail access to Firestone trail.

Awesome place to get a walk in! Lots of benches to stop and take a break on the way! Ive seen eagles, hawks, turtles, lots of water birds. Absolutely wonderful!

Love this place to play pokemon go. Great access places and love the walk area but need to set a time ppl can be there not just at dark but until like 9 or 10 so ik. The winter months you dknt get ik no trouble for being there at like 7 or 8

Great sculptures! Fun for kids.

We started walking our dogs around the reservoir, then we started fishing. The 14-16 inch pan size trout limits us out each time we fish.

It has no dog water fountains, at all. There is a dog park, but no water supply. The bathroom is not that far from the dog park, and has a sink you can fill up your bowl with. But make sure you remember to pack your dog bowl and water.

Pretty good place. Though with places like Chuze Fitness opening rec centers need to be more competitive. The rec center is too expensive. I joined Chuze in Broomfield instead.

Not any shade not a great place for take the kids and the playground had tons of wasps

This space contains playgrounds barbecue areas picnic tables gazebos a full walking bike path around the lake fishing and an off-leash dog park.

Love to walk and run here. Around the resivor once is 1.26 miles there is also picnic areas and a playground.

Seems like theres a lot more bugs flying around your face this year. Makes it terrible to walk.
