The people who hang out here have an amazing sense of community. They know each others names, hang out, are welcoming to anyone peaceful, and support each other as they understand that violence/hate is not a way to share a public space. The skatepark terrain is built in a way that is a very effective use of space. The prefabricated ramps are a little bit rough to ride, the transition is difficult to understand for some, including myself. (However, to be honest, I do not ride transition well at all.) The park is great for park riding, but as a street rider who is not proficient in park riding, the park can be a bit boring. At least the people who hang out there are generally respectful and willing to have an interesting conversation. :)

Nice skatepark for kidsof all ages and ethnic backgrounds. I visited two days in a row with my grandson. He had a blast on his scooter. Going up and down the hills and ramps helped him to learn how balance, gain social skills & have lots of fun! Hes a happy camper.

I took my son to this skate park in the early evening. My boy is just learning to skateboard so it was great that it wasnt crowded. But then again it was Monday. The kids at the park seem friendly and there was no pressure from other kids. Some kids also ride scooters there. If your into skateboards this is a great place to go and burn off energy. This place is equipped with ramps, rails, half pipes and everything you need to enjoy skateboarding in Long Beach.

14th Street Park is just a grass area for homeless people. Not recommended for children. Its full of trash & beer bottles.

People are super nice and its fun whether or not you are really good or just learning, like myself. You will see people of all kinds. Some bmx, ride their scooters, rollerblade and the rest will skate. Theres a good mixture of both male and females. it just feels like a good environment and i didnt even have to lock my bike up. Not that i would suggest that! Its still a good idea to lock up your bike no matter what! But overall im really liking that park and i definitely would suggest checking out what this Park has to offer if you are in the area!

If you go there around 11 or 12 in the morning there is like 2 or 3 people there great energy burner

Took my daughter who has only used her scooter a few times. The older kids did sma good job watching out for the little ones. Has some smaller ramps anf rails that are great to learn on

Good spot to ride or watch some good skates do their thing

Awesome skate park for learning and all wheels welcome :) local skaters are all super friendly too!

My kid loves this park. The local kids are very helpful with teaching tricks to the younger kids!

Falling on the half pipe doesnt hurt. Nice.

A bit sketchy. Cops showed up to break up a chic fight. Multiple drug deals and pot smoking in the park. As a visitor, did not feel welcoming or friendly.

Hood skate park need to check out

Smooth. Clean. Has a water fountain too.
