Lots of trails. We bring our dogs out here and walk them, they love it. We tend not to go during tick season because they are out there and they are everywhere.
Watch out for ticks. This is our favorite place to hike and we’ve been here dozens of times, it is incredibly beautiful. Dog got about 50 ticks there yesterday on the mown trails. Would not recommend taking your dog there this time of year.
Lovely conservation area with trails to check out the wetlands. Great for a walk and a meditation.
Just a parking area and the marsh. But very nice if you enjoy that kind of scenery.
GREAT PLACE TO TAKE HUNTER, OUR TO GO FOR HIS DAILY RUN WHEN I TAKE HIM ALONG TO LINCOLN TO SEE KADIN OUR GRANDSON THAT WE HAVE ADOPTED !!
Such a beautiful place to enjoy nature! Migrating season is an amazing thing to experience there. If youre into that kind of thing.
Quiet, peaceful, great for pictures
Gotta say, I thought it was great. Theres a bridge and a lookout. Nice looking prairie scenery. After my dad and I got finished walking the dogs, I got back in the car and noticed I was covered head to toe in ticks!!! I spent the whole rest of the day finding ticks.
This is a great little find in North Lincoln. Its not big, but the scenery is pretty! There are mown trails to walk on, not great for strollers, but perfect for little legs! Theres a great bridge and two overlooks! A great find for our family!
Great path and wildlife for just outside of town.
A hidden away place in North Lincoln. Acres of land with complete quietness. Complete with a covered lookout to view nature.
Was so nice and peaceful. Than seen ticks on us. We got outa there. Seen a few!!
A great place for watching deer, birds and turtles. Nice, peaceful and quiet.
This is a very beautiful place. Definally recommend.
Love love love this place .. So peaceful and just BEAUTIFUL
It is out of the city and has some nice long paths to walk on right through the middle of the marsh.
Nice peaceful place to take family pictures
Great place to walk and get away from the city
We have traveled to FSM several times now. Just past I-80 27th Street jogs right and if you take a quick left (still on 27th street) you come to the first part of the park on both sides of the road. There are benches to sit and enjoy the view and sounds. You can see a couple of solar panelsrising above the marshland and some sort of pump attached to a tube submerged in the soil. This Park is part of the city of Lincoln parks system. Its large and spans lots of area. Its not likemost parks in Lincoln in that there is no traditional city park playgrounds or ball fields. Forwalking and discovery, consider taking a closer look at Frank Shoemaker Marsh.
A couple of moderate length hiking trails set in an area of native grass, cattails and trees. There are a couple of overlook areas.
Very beautiful and peaceful.
Grassy paths
Awsome
