Great park to take your dog and walk some nice laps. There are two entrances and 5 benches in total(and one with a charging station in the middle). The small-dog park is quite small compared to the all-dog park. There also two bins for waste deposit and there is a water station in the front entrance(might be disabled due to COVID19).
Well maintained. One of the nicer parks on this side of town
This a great park! I took my dog who loved it, its clean, plenty of areas to walk, jog, stroll, play. Theres soccer area, baseball area, tennis area. Great for quiet walk with your dog, or friend walk, or just go to clear your mind & get out of the house. Oh & there are few picnic areas, in the shade...thats awesome if you want gather friends/family!
Lovely park to take your pet or your family. Careful if youre training a dog who agresses at other dogs though, because there are LOTS of other dogs. But there are plenty of little out of the way paths to take them on while avoiding everybody else.
Cant give five stars to any park with soccer goals but no nets.
Its a great wide open park on the edge of Lincoln. There isnt any traffic noise and is quite peaceful. Had a great day umpiring baseball at their complex.
A beautiful park setting. Excellent trails!
This is a neat part to go for a run which has a playground to take your kids to play. Theres a tennis court, basketball court, soccer field, volleyball court, there is also restrooms and a water fountain for those days when its really hot. This lovely park also has picnic tables under a shelter which you could reserve for birthdays and such. The entire park is a one way only so pay attention to that.
Just took the dogs there to run. Nice little dog run off the back side of the park.
A lot of open space. Nice facilities. Not overly crowded.
Great place to take the kids. Always clean and maintained
Grandkids had fun. Would of been nice to have a water fountain working.
Nice quiet day. Plenty of trees and space to maintain safe distance.
Great place to watch some Select Baseball. Be prepared for the sun. Not a lot of shade near the infield.
Lincoln, NE city courses are a pretty good deal less than $50.00 for 18 holes and a cart on the weekend. Not the most challenging courses youll ever find but not horrible either.
Great softball field to play on good atmosphere
Great place to walk your dog, bicycle, or run.
Very nice park my son Jacob & his fiance had their engagement pics done here
This park is a nice peaceful place to bring the family or even have a nice party at. There is a playground for the children, as well as a tennis court and basketball court. Further into the park is a baseball field. Its beautiful nature is best seen during the summer months when all the trees are in full bloom!
Great family park. Kids love it for the pokemon.
Lots of fun and amenities. Well maintained.
Grey place to just park and take a nap or get out and take a jog
Perfect day, perfect park.
Good, Big Park for just about Any Activity, at Any Age!
Love that there is sand volleyball
Beautyfull
Softball fields were so hard. Seems like they are never watered
So pretty and plenty to do. Great park!
The park is a great place to just chill and hang out with your babies and get away
Large park that has lodging options-which is not common for many parks here. We drove past the cabins and they were quite nice. There are also camp grounds and RV parks for people to stay. Activities here range from horses to crafts to mini golf and hiking. Swimming in the warm seasons, fishing and kayaking in the marina. Entrance to the park was $5 for our car of three people. We spent a Sunday here to explore the observatory and do a little hiking- great place to see the fall foliage if youre interested. It overlooks the river and gives a nice outlay of the banks on either side. Also, maybe self explanatory but it is dog friendly and our dog loved the trails.
My dog loves this place!
Great walking trail with variety in slope and scenery. Dog park in the park is fun to watch the doggos. Friendly regulars too. Bathrooms can be questionable but functional
Well kept and plenty of room for even large(300+) groups.Covered picnic areas, equipment for kiddos, volleyball pit, basket ball court etc. Beautiful wooded area and pathways.
Its a great place to take the dogs hiking.
Very open, a great place to go for some fresh air, I often bike there to do homework at the picnic tables in the open fields. There are volleyball courts, a baseball field, and picnic areas. Very clean, well kept.
Nice park, lots of open space. We go here for coed softball and the umps are really friendly as well.
Nice place, good atmosphere between dogs and owners
Awesome
This park has something for everyone!
Love the dog park!
The best park to take multiple little kids! I have a couple of runners/wanderers and I choose safe places with low street traffic. I love the play area, it has age friendly equipment for ages 2-15. With covered picnic tables, restrooms, basketball courts, and more; it is perfect for family gatherings.
Great place for running. Unless its from the cops cause theres no unintuitive places to hide.
Very nice good place to take all the family.
GREAT PATHS, NICE DOG PARKS!
Mahoney Park is a great place for walking the trail, having a picnic lunch, playing baseball, volleyball, basketball, or just running around enjoying the fresh air and beautiful park.
Great park, we love the tennis court!
Its a good size park, several baseball fields, places for kids to play and a bike path. Its well kept up.
So beautiful!
Big park with plenty to do with tennis court volleyball courts and baseball field and just a great place for a walk with a dog park next door for your four legged best friend.
I just drove through this park. Once you get into the park its like your in a different world. You feel like you have left the big city. Its not a huge park but you still get the feeling of being free. I enjoy just driving through. Very nice park.
Great place. Hate having to use an electrical pad to camp. Miss getting away with other tent campers.
Great place to take your for a walk!
Great fun for all
Mahoney has many amenities for a State park, and hosts were nice. However camping loops and other roads had many low hanging trees, some of which almost to top of pickup cab. $30 now for just electric, pretty stiff compared to many county and city parks with more hookups. After rain over night our site was a huge mud pit that will require considerable cleaning once we get home. Unfathomable that State Park staff feel ok to place site marker posts in the space campers need to use for backing rv into a site. Either the staff are unfamiliar with this task or they just dont care. Finally, dump stations are on slope of a hill so tanks wouldnt drain properly, using either oneCamped here in a 5th wheel and will look at other options next time due to the issues noted.
Love bringing my dog for walks through the park n trail also.
We go there for city rec softball league. The fields and the rest of the park are always clean and well maintained.
Awsome place very quiet but good place to play sports and have family bbqs.
Mahoney park is scenic and peaceful..a very nice place to get together with friends and/or family or simply to go for a nice walk in the fresh air.
We were in a baseball tournament here and the complex is very nice. Plenty of parking and shade near by.
Beautiful park, just dont use the bathrooms here!
Mahoney State Park is my kids and my favorite place! There is so much to do and see. The campground in clean and well maintained. The cabins are amazing. Great for family vacations as we as a romantic weekend getaway.
A lot of space nice walking path
Went to Mahoney park with the one I loveThe I said. Whats a nut when it hangs fromA tree a nut . But when that falls to the ground and cracks open out jumps me the nuttiest one of all just to say Merry Chritmas and I love you .
Very nice to have. Nice play area, nice softball fields, basketball and tennis. Bike path could use some new concrete but its still ridable.
Availability for baseball and golf. The grounds are upkept very nicely. The scenery is great. One way terrific around the whole park and lots of areas to park
Watched a friend play baseball, bleachers werent too bad
Its always a great place to camp, swim, ride the paddle boats, horse back riding, rental cabins, theater, and see lot of wildlife.
Great place for a fun day! Water park to horseback riding, many things to do
Just beautiful!
Nice park lot of things to do
Good fields, roads need some work
Davidson always likes coming here!has been a visitor since it opened...
It is beautiful, but if you go at night I suggest a flashlight and either many people and/ or a weapon just in case.
Good place to play or watch softball
Nice park and the fee to get in isnt outrageous. Was disappointed when I found out the sledding tobogganing area hadnt been built yet. But other options are very good
The swings were very muddy from the rain but other that it was fun!
So nice to have a great time
The park itself has always been clean when I’ve been there. It’s a great place to take a walk or get on the bike trail.
Beautiful park. Good kid environment.
Very nice large park
Good place, fun.
Its beautiful..
I use the park 4 its walking trail and courts throughout the year. When its warmer out Ill take kettle bells with me or Im doing basketball drills
Ballfields are in good shape. Modern bathrooms are okay. Too bad they dont have concessions available during games.
No one takes care of the fields on a Sunday. Unbelievable.
Good place to ride.
Pretty much everything you want in a park. One of my favorite places to go walking/jogging/biking; if you cover all the paths its over 2 miles with very calming scenery, away from traffic and city noise. Volleyball courts, baseball diamonds, grills, covered patios for get togethers and several parking lots.
Its a nice big open place. Would be good for a day outside anytime.
Nice big park, it is a nice place for the family to feel out side of town
Very nice place to go walking, have a picnic or just relax and hangout with friends or family.
Love the park. Nice playground and plenty of space to have fun
With the addition of the new dog run at the North end of the park with a separate entrance off of 84th street, this park now ranks as on of my favorite parks in the entire city. The new dog runs at Peterson Park and Roper Park East are very nice additions too! Thank you, Lincoln for creating these great spaces for our city dwelling dogs! Now that the basics have the runs up and functional, the new amenities that the Friends of the Dog Parks and The Lincoln Parks Foundation folks worked so hard to raise funding for can finally be installed in the spring of 2018! When this happens, these runs will go from fantastic to stellar, and rival even the very best dog parks elsewhere in the country. Enjoy, Lincoln!
We love hiking here. We bring our golden retriever up from Lincoln and spend a few hours during the weekend exploring the trails together
