Despite some of the bad reviews our family still had a great time! We packed stuff for sandwiches and a cooler and had a blast! The skateboarder of the family said he likes this skate park better then any of the ones weve been too and we have been to a few in Maine! While we were there we met a nice gentleman we helped our son learn more tricks and he told us that the skatepark was made by the Tony Hawk foundation! Along as you keep to yourself and dont cause any trouble its fun for all!

I found the park a nice place to take a break from the city. Coco, my friend loved the place, especially the squirrels. Wish the city would clean the acorns from the walkways but a pleasant place anyways.

Safe and good for public events

Maybe its a nice relaxing safe place to chill with family friends pets or kids.....maybe if there is an hour or two during the wee hours of the morning that Ive never seen before.... It used to be this... Now its very dangerous most times, especially at night! Ive had more then a couple friends/ acquaintances get robbed, jumped, beat up, stabbed (yes, real stabbed, like hospital visit stabbed)and assaulted over the years. And Im only counting the people that werent asking for it by being there to deal drugs or pick fights or whatever.... Just because the police station is there does not mean youre safe.... no. I wish I could feel safe there again.

Very pleasant central urban escape, especially on bright sunny days.

In the heart of lewiston, this park has tons of parking and is right near the main road. has Basketball courts, playground with swings and slides, many benches and places to hang out. Grass is kept nice and there are trash cans through out the park. Very popular but not too crowded.

I have been living around this park for 30 years, this park is a vary safe place, seeing the police station is next door. There is a band stand, An adult pool and childrens pool. There is a large basketball court, many large fields, and a Off the hook skate board park. Open to the public see ya around.

KENNEDY PARK IS NICE PLACE TO RELAX AND COOL

Was ok I guess. A lot of weird people there though. Dont think Id want to take my kid there, but maybe a good place to walk a big dog. Youll want some kind of protection there for sure. Lots of people on drugs there.

Lots of greenery. Lots of shade. Nice place to relax during the day.

You used to be able to sit and enjoy the day and the kids would play now just a lot of fighting and people dont pick up after there dogs

This park has potential, if protected by police or fellow friendly lookouts. Was great back in the 80s

Anyone giving this park 5 stars hasnt been there. A Man was smashed on the head with a brick. Murder still hanging out. Shooting b-ball or casing your kids new bike. Cops doing little to nothing to curb the erosion of a once peaceful place.

A once tranquil, beautiful park transformed into an unsafe vipers pit overflowing with Third World savages who have no concept of public decency. Lewiston as whole deserved a better fate than this.

The facilities are very nice-pool & splash pad, a small playground and large grassy area. The clientele is the problem. Caretakers drop kids under 10 off and go into grass area leaving kids unattended and to be cared for by the attendees. Very disrespectful children. I witnessed kids of all ethnicities not sharing equipment and not following the attendees directions. And heard Very foul mouths. My kids are 7 & 4 I’d never leave them unattended. There was an unattended little girl there who was younger than my daughter. It’s free but you get what you pay for. Wont be going back.

I stay away from the BB Court/Play ground when I take my dog to Kennedy Park. On the Gazebo side, theres barely any people so I can let my small dog off her leash to play!

This is a great place to get mugged at night. Conveniently located in downtown Lewiston(and adjacent to Knox st, ack) you can be quickly robbed by a gang of ethnic street urchins all the while being less than a block from the Lewiston Police Department.

Not a safe place for you, your friends or even Family to be at. Way to much violence to risk your life to be in Kennedy park

A place where the drunks hang out, fights take place, amd you can get her bugs from sitting on a bench. Also not kid friendly unless your going at 6am.
