Small distance away from hubbub and husle of glitzy Las Vegas, a wonderful getaway into desert habitat and vegetation. How refreshing! Most people wont believe that you can do so close by. Enjoy if you have time but I say make time. You surely will remember.
If you have a good camera, you should totally go. You can get tons of awesome pictures here, but theres one problem: kids. Younger kids will typically run around trying to get every butterfly on them, and its just chaos on weekends. I suggest going before Summer and on a weekday (preferably early). I say before Summer because its incredibly hot here in Vegas, and most kids wont be out of school. I pretty much explained why on weekdays, but if you didnt catch that, kids wont be there on weekdays (If you go early, you could be the only one there-and itll be a LOT cooler.
If only they lived longer...the butterflies only live approx 2 weeks. BEAUTIFUL! One specie is as large as your hand! Wish it was in a larger area. A must see.
Very cool. 2 butterflies landed on my daughter. She attracts them somehow. Soooooo many different butterflies.
The butterflies were beautiful! There were so many more then we thought at first, once we started looking closer we started realizing how many were all around us that were blending in. It was an amazing experience and the people were very informative!
This is literally one of my daughters favorite things in the world. Watching the kids trying to get butterflies to land on them is precious and magical.
Definitely check this out in season. Go around mid day when butterflies are warmed up. Magical experience
A typical pavilion you see so many botanic gardens putting up now, except this one costs $3 (2019).
It was so lovely. Beautiful plants and great variety of butterflys. The grandsons loved it.
Loved it, my kids loved it especially, it was a windy day but there was still a lot of butterflies, I think it closes sometime towards the end of November or December, get out there before then, because its beautiful.
A must experience attraction to enjoy with your kids. Ive taken my kids a number of times and they continue to enjoy it. Tranquil and serene- my two year old learns to be gentle, careful and how to not be so hands on. I love it!
While in Las Vegas, did not see one butterfly flying free. Habitat had many. They were beautiful. Signage off main road was non-existent until you find the place. Volunteer ladies were very nice, but it is a self guided tour.
Beautiful butterflies! Very calming. Didnt want to leave.
There were so many butterflies! It was super cute and the flowers were gorgeous.
My kids seriously love this place. They spend time looking at the information charts and matching them up
Loved this little habitat. Cost additional without a membership. Not a hefty fee. Honestly worth the money. Its pretty small but adorable!
A favorite of mine to visit in the spring and fall months.
Experience butterflies first hand... Amongst lively flowers & greenery. Wont break your budget.
Its a pretty good exhibit to check out. Its not a huge enclosure but pretty cool to see all the butterflies chilling or flying around.
I never been there before but, it is worth the trip and traveling. The habitat was protected by personal who also, gave us a tour of the butterflies. I had a beautiful butterfly land on my back. He needed to take a rest and then he took off flying to see other visitors. The day ended well. I would love to come back in the Spring!
Meh - kinda neat little greenhouse I suppose, with lots of butterflies flying around. But Im not sure I would think of it as a magnet attraction, rather one of the nice features of the whole spring reserve (which is awesome as a whole, BTW).
Such a delicate, charming retreat, especially here in the desert. If you get a chance to go, or find you need a little zen in or life, give it a try - youll like it!
A *MUST SEE* when visiting Springs Preserve. It was just absolutely gorgeous, like youve traveled into a dreamland.
I didnt get to go this year as we got there way too late and it was closed already but I went there a couple years ago and it was great lots of beautiful butterflies and people helping you to find them and ID them
Was small... amount of butterflys were surprisingly low... compared to other butterfly exhibits Ive been to ...
This was by far the best activity I have participated in during my stay in Vegas. The staff were friendly and knowledgable and the butterflies were amazing!!
Said it was open. Went and then was told butterfly garden close for season. They should of stated closed for season on website. Waste of time driving. Answering service not great only recording.
Fun, interesting and educational stroll through The preserve and butterfly habitat.
Im a photographer and I love going in here and try to photograph the butterflies. Its a challenge. But its just a relaxing place to be and you can almost forget youre in a big city.
So beautiful and affordable! Very calming so over excited kids may not appreciate it. My 7 year old was tired and able to enjoy it. I do however am not in agreeance with the animal rights aspect which was an after thought. I plan on volunteering to try and change the process. Butterflys are extinct now, just like bees. Both we need for food and flowers! You may never see this many in 1 place again!
Great place, beautiful flowers and butterflies were awesome
To be able to stand in a huge greenhouse type environment with tons of butterflies surrounding you is one of the most beautiful and unique experiences you’ll ever encounter. If for no other part of the museum, the money is worth it for this!!!
Excellent experience. Great for kids and adults too
Great place if you have a little girl that likes butterflies
So worth it to pay the extra charge. Gorgeous little habitat
Lots of fun and the kids loved seeing all the butterflys
Great for viewing beautiful butterflies.
Great place for kids and adults alike
Beautiful place, needs more butterflies but im guessing its gonna be better, it was my first time here .
Lovely exhibit of butterflies staffed by helpful docents, but there is an extra charge for each person to enter.
Must go for young kids, the butterflies are beautiful. Just watch where you step.
You must visit. A nice timeout from Vegas .
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV
Loved this place took a trip with my daughters school it was amazing
Very Cool. Maybe a little on the small side, but definitely worth going to.
Many kinds of butterflies and a peaceful atmosphere.
Great experience and fun with my Granddaughter and Daughter
Awesome place to see butterflies!!!
Kids love to come in here, and watch the butterflies fly around. They may even land on you if you’re still enough
Employees should be nicer to the children. The butterfly habitat is like going through a prison checkpoint.
We love seeing all the pretty colors here!
Butterfly in the sky, I can fly twice as high!
Was closed when I visited but was not told and still charged full price at entrance.
This was a beautiful place
