Wonderful place to visit with friends and family! I visited here with my friend and its a great place for Nevada lovers, nature enthusiasts. It gets pretty hot so bring water and make sure to go inside to enjoy the many exhibits when you can!

While the majority of the hands on exhibits are still closed due to pandemic prevention measures, tge Preserve is still a spectacular place to escape the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. The trails are all still open and the State Museum is open on Saturday and Sunday.It will be nice once they can reopen the interactive parts of the Preserve so that people of all ages are able to enjoy what the park has to offer.

$30 for an annual membership makes this one of our winter happy places in Las Vegas. A variety of gardens and buildings, as well as admission to the State Museum, provides plenty to enjoy throughout the year.

Very beautiful. The museum and the butterfly exhibit and all the other exhibits are closed at the moment because of the pandemic. But if you want an absolutely beautiful walk around in nature with plenty of space. Great place. Cant wait to go back when the exhibits reopen.

First time here! Seems like staff loves their job here. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This facility is great for families, especially for kids. What a little oasis in the middle of vegas. Theres a playground and many other activities here for kids to do and see! Theres even a train, wht a surprise! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a little time on their hands.

Wonderful place to walk around the Botanical Gardens and listen to the birds, learned history about Lasvegas. So many nice things to do for children.

Beautiful. The museums were not open due to covid, but it was nice being outside and walking around. Loved the free 30 minute train ride/tour. Boomtown was really well done. A great place to visit with children. Inexpensive and fun

We went for the Holiday Express and loved it! The Springs Preserve is a great place year round for kids and adults, but we thoroughly enjoyed the decorations and holiday atmosphere created for this event. The train was so fun, the activities were planned perfectly and extremely well organized. The volunteers working were friendly and helpful and we made great memories. We even have keepsakes that we made to remember our visit and of course, photos with Santa. Highly recommended!

A must-go-see place for desert plant lovers. The gardens are full of a diverse selection of plants and all of it is artistically arranged. The art and architecture around the gardens is also very striking and beautiful. The butterfly exhibit is was a special treat, full of colorful beauties! I especially appreciated the volunteers working around the preserve. They were all extremely helpful, informational, and kind. I could tell this place means a great deal to the locals, which made me appreciate it even more. So glad we did this activity during our last day in Vegas instead of hanging out in a casino on the strip!

I love the Spring Preserve. Its so beautiful. My kids love visiting here. Weve been here a few times. Everytime we visit, they love it. I cant wait until we plan our next trip here. I know well be back again. Thanks for the amazing memories. I hope they never forget them.

This place is a hidden gem. Very reasonable entry fee, awesome restaurant with good outdoor dining and Covid precautions. Also really friendly staff.

Nice place to spend around 3 hrs.. Dog show at 1 pm is awesome

The property is great for families and the staff is great! They really make you feel welcomed and they all seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs there. Can’t wait to bring my family back again once COVID is over to explore more things they have to offer. 5/5 stars easy.

A jewel in a plastic world of excess. This oasis allows nature to salve your soul the volunteers and staff are top class. Walks, museums, wonderful gardens to explore on foot, bike or train. Trinity cafe was a gift from God. Trinity our guide added sparkle. Highly recommended for all ages.

Big place to visit. Had a wonderful time in the many museums and hands on exhibits! Wonderful green space and butterfly house. Great for a family adventure with fun things to do for all ages!! Even the cafe was good food and reasonable prices. Loved the Boomtown remake of Las Vegas, so cute and educational. Prices were very reasonable, but would recommend a family membership, as you save ten percent with discount on tickets.

This place always brings joy to my world. Ive been 3 times each time on a field trip with my schools. The kids just love looking at the bugs and animals. And this time they got to enjoy the Halloween decorations they have installed. Our favorite part is the butterfly Habit. A must see for visitors and locals. Especially if you have children!

Turning people away at the gate, requiring an advanced online reservation, and charging $5 to enter when it used to be free is not a good way to get people to come to your park. Bad business practices. Charging a fee is just taking advantage of a pandemic. Especially when most of the attractions are closed due to COVID. Will not be returning to this park.

This place is amazing!! So much to see. We honestly thought because of most weve been to that wed only need maybe 1.5 hr but we still werent done after 4!! I was lucky to experience the butterfly habitat so if you can go and see that as well!! So many breeds of butterflies! They have a cafe as well. The museum has amazing lifesize examples and steps you through the building of the Hoover Dam (short film) and progression. They also have desert animals for viewing. Residents save a good deal and I would even say you will want the pass!

Get places for kids and adults a like. They have a museum with rotating exhibits and a flash flood simulator which is really exciting. They also classes on a variety of topics including desert landscaping and care. They often have events going on and at the right seasons they have a walk through butterfly habitat. The ticket prices are reasonable and they offer local discounts. The shop and restaurant can get pricy though. We usually bring our own food or eat before hand.

Very unique and educational place. People can learn about the nature and desert animals.The volunteers & employees are surprisingly friendly and kind, professional.I spent 4 hours here and could manage to see everything.The cafe serves nice food. (From cafe there is a good view at Downtown)I liked the animal show, the botanical garden (saw a rare bird there) and the energy saving house + Hoover Dam exhibition.Highly recommended - great escape from the Strip

First, I was facinated by the story of the spring that kind of started and sustained settlement in this dersert. I applaud the efforts to conserve and reinstate the water body here. Some of the exhibits like Boomtown and the old train station captured the long passage of time and in that desert stillness captured a sense of timelessness. This is the place where one can actually feel the conquest of the west, the struggle for water, the cowboys role, almost like stepping into a movie set of those classic westerns.

Cute little place I forget exists. Love their nature exchange and walks here during the cooler months. Exhibits are always nice. Even their restaurant is cute and good

My children love coming. Recommend getting an annual pass. If you have a toddler make sure to take them to toddler time. Many special events throughout the year. Go see the dinosaurs before they leave.

Great natural gem in the middle of Vegas. Outdoors and plenty of activities for all ages.

I haven’t been during the spring, but there wasn’t anything special and I hope that that changes because this could be such a special place. The botanical garden is a small strip, so I walked around and then visited their big science playroom, which is definitely for kids....which is fine with me. I went by myself to make sure it was a place for kids, before paying for all three of mine.I think it’s a fine place for a field trip, there was a field trip when I went last year. Nice but small outing for locals so I really hope they can add more activity and gardens because the potential for this place is endless.

Great place on days with great weather. My 2 and 4 year old boys love going here, they can run around and play in dirt all day long. Great family spot!

There is so much to do in one visit. The park is great and covered from the sun for the kids when it gets hot. The garden is beautiful, I only wish they had more labels for all the plants. They seem to only label a few plants here or there. Our favorite exhibit is the flash flood simulator! Such a cool experience! The VR experience is cool too, but I like that a lot of the changing features are related. We’ve been to a few of the changing features, like the explorers one and the dinosaurs.

A rather expensive area in the city of Las Vegas to be able to take your family or even just yourself to somewhere outside. The heat is always difficult in Vegas but here there is a considerable amount of shade and trees plus other vegetation. There are a few museums on the campus plus a botanical garden. A lot of the items are geared towards children but not all. I would highly recommend this place to spend the day.

Beautiful. Such a lovely space. Plenty of room for kids to run around. Or give a spot and relax, or just walk around this Oasis spot and enjoy the landscape. A real gem in the middle of the city.I will be returning every chance I get.(the butterfly habitat is closed during winter season)

Amazing! Beautiful! I wish Ihad more time to visit and explore! I love the exchange program where kids may exchange found objects for other amazing objects! As long as you found it and did not kill it, you may exchange what you found for more awesome things! Like Geodes and fossils and bones! (You can find a dead bug or flower, but you can not pluck a living flower or stomp the bug) You basically cannot be an active participant in the organisms timely demise.Love this Place! A Great Time Out doors for anybody and everybody! An Amazing Desert Oasis! Cant wait to visit the Springs Preserves Again!

This was a great place that not many people know of I believe. You could spend a 1/2 A-day here easily. Everyone was friendly and the place was very clean. Train rides were fun.

This place is super affordable for the family! Great place for all ages. It has a little bit of everything from indigenous history/ Las Vegas founding history to info on green energy to a botanical garden!

Don’t miss this gem! Could not get enough of this place—the two onsite museums were fascinating and displays were vast in scope covering natural history and geology, and human history from ancient through modern settlements, mining, atomic age, gambling and glitz. The displays were so creative and endlessly interesting. Gambling cheat devices in the same facility as a full size mammoth skeleton. Holographic reenactors performing as NV history legends and short films of characters teaching about native life. There was an exciting and informative flash flood experience and even a butterfly habitat. Two gift stores on the grounds each carrying different wares and both worth a visit. Also a remarkable program to view and handles all sorts of fossils, shells, minerals, nests and other nature finds, and kiddos can enroll to trade in found objects for points they can trade for nature collectibles.

Very relaxing and well kept; a lot more to see than I thought. Interactive museum, and garden paths. So glad I took the time to visit. Mapping of layout in downloaded app was very helpful.

We always have a great time at the preserve. Things are kept pretty clean, the playground is awesome, the museum always has exhibits that keep the kids interested in learning.The vegetation at the springs is awe inspiring considering it is the middle of the Las Vegas desert, the butterfly habitat is gorgeous, and they rent out bikes to explore the trails.They have a picnic area near to a play area and sandbox as well as some little waterfalls cooking down the side of the tall wall to help you cool off during the summer.We have the family pass which allows us access an hour earlier than they are opened to the public, gives us a discount at their restaurant (which serves pretty excellent food, beer and wine) and which is located above the nature exchange.The nature exchange is yet another excellent way to get kids out and learning about nature.Nevada state museum is also on the premises and is included in general admission price to the preserve.The springs preserve is a must visit.

I enjoy eating at the cafe on site. The view is spectacular. Todays Greek salad was just ok, the roasted chicken was bland and chewy. The Strawberry Crumble dessert was good.

Love Springs Preserve. Great little place to get away from the city for a few moments. Fun place to take your family or to get a little exercise. Lots to discover here in the heart of Las Vegas!

Food at the cafe was really good and the portions were a good size for your money. It has so many interesting things to see and do. Very good place to take your kids!! My granddaughter loved it and shes 2 1/2. Cant wait until the butterfly section opens up in 2 months!

Loved coming here as a kid and now as an adult I still love it! Great discounts if youre a local too, like dirt cheap! Always super well maintained cause I mean, other than the fact it is a preserve, it has an A+ on sanitation.The different attractions it has are great too, not to mention the museum a couple of feet away as well, plus a butterfly habitat in late fall! How can you not love this place?

Beautiful, interesting place right in the middle of Vegas. A nice retreat from busy Vegas. Lots of kid friendly activities. My mother loved all the plant life in the botanical gardens. In the animal section, our favorite was the fox. Cafe was delicious. Really good impossible burgers. We ended up buying a year long membership to the preserve because it was a better deal for our family of five. Parking was easy. Everything is wheelchair accessible throughout the park. All the staff were really nice. Happy and knowledgeable. Place is a maze, but there are maps available and a free app.

This is now my favorite place to visit in Vegas, especially the trails around the original springs that resulted in the development of Las Vegas. In walking the trail you get a real sense of what Las Vegas was like prior to Eastern settlement. You also learn the geology that produces the springs, how settlers tried to utilize them, and the dominance of railroading.Also history on how indigenous people used the area, why downtown is three miles away from the water source, and the failed mormon mission.

Theres some very cool things to see in the Nevada Museum. I didnt know quite what to expect but it was an enjoyable time. You can get a little disoriented if its your first time there as some of the trails circle back. Keep the map handy. There are a lot of things for kids to see, some of it might be a little dry for them, but they did have interactive exhibits as well. Great deal for Nevada residents, bring your ID.

The Springs Preserve offers a lot! Weve been here many different times through many years. It never gets old! The change exhibits often. There is ongoing hands on fun. I enjoy the outdoor gardens and nature. Its especially more fun when you go during special events.

Incredible top notch facility there is so much to do that you might as well become a member and plan on going back several times. Im not a Nevada resident yet this place helped me make my decision to become one.

Great place for free family outdoor activity. Beautiful gardens, great trail to hike and train to take you around. Look into waterworks or stop at Boomstown where you can walk through a modeled town of 1903, actual model of early settlement little town.

We love coming to see the new exhibits, playing on the new playground, visiting the critters outside, wandering the trails, learning a ton while having fun, and eating at the cafe. Theres always a day full of activities to do and we find ourselves spending hours there without noticing. It keeps my young children interested and engaged along with my husband and I. We try to renew our family membership every year and take advantage of the discounts for the special events that are so much fun. I highly recommend this gem in our desert as a refreshing, self guided escape from the city for families.

I cant wait to come back here in the spring! The maze was fun, but a little short. The grounds were still beautiful/kind of cool to see even though its the middle of winter.

This was my second visit to Springs Preserve and it was better than ever! We loved the new 1905 Boomtown and Water exhibits, the playground and Ori-Gen Museum! Love the flash flood demo, too! SO much to see and do and great value for the ticket price, especially for locals! We spent the whole day there and my nieces loved it! Cant wait to go back! Great family fun!

I have worked numerous events at this venue and really appreciate the way they maintain the grounds. Everything is always clean and well attended to, it’s a great place to bring your family!

Springs Preserve had an Hawaiian Cultural event. Has a butterfly habitat through end of May. Lots of events to enjoy with the family here.

I was very pleasantly surprised on all of the variety of things to do from hiking trails to museums to interactive animal displays and Exhibits. There is a lot to see so make sure that you make an entire day of it. Well worth it

Not really knowing what to expect, my husband and I went here when we had a couple extra hours one day. We ended up buying the yearly family membership because there was just so much to do, it was so peaceful, absolutely beautiful, and we knew we would be back! Well theres definitely more than a couple hours worth of things that you could do with the two museums, the gardens, the walking trails, and the Boomtown, for the entry price of $10 even if you only have a couple hours to spend its worth it! Its a great place to visit to look at the natural landscaping in Nevada and to learn about the Springs that Las Vegas was built up around.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the springs preserve. It is very clean, well maintained and high quality musuem/garden. The kids had a blast and we could barely keep up with them. The exhibits were interesting and very well done. I loved how interactive everything was, kept the kids attention the whole time. The butterfly exhibit was nice but a little underwhelming. Overall a great experience, will be back soon.

The Springs Preserve is an awesome museum/event establishment! My family has the silver membership and with all of the attractions and events, its more than worth it! The 2 beer and wine festivals that are held here are amazing!!

I volunteered here to help others learn about our natural environments and the bats here in Clark County. Definitely worth checking out. The full time biologists and staff are passionate in helping others of all ages and skill levels.

Loved coming to Spring Preserves. Such a beautiful place to vist and bring the family for the day. You can learn about the water system, electrical systems in Vegas. Recycling, ect.. very educational.

So much fun . Lots to see! We went for the butterfly exhibit and barely had enough time for anything else. A huge butterfly landed on my wife and stayed there until we left.

This place is great if youd like to learn about the local history, plants, wildlife, and conservation efforts. They have a rotating exhibit in addition to extensive walking trails with historic sites and a shorter walking path through their gardens.Perfect to bring kids because they can definitely wander around.The Nevada State museum is right next door too.Springs preserve is definitely worth visiting. A hidden gem!

We dressed up in our Halloween costume and went to the haunted harvest at Springs preserve. They had games for the kids (and adults who wanted to play), candy and trick or treating, petting zoo, music, dancing, food, drinks, train ride. First time I have been there, enjoyed it very much. We will be back. They also have concerts there, nature concervation, botanical gardens, butterflys ( when in season) . Lots to do and see, people running it are so kind and considerate. So go, have fun, enjoy. Be sure to wear your walking shoes...

Springs Preserve is always great. My 8 year old never gets bored of it. It is, with out a doubt, one of her favorite places in all the Valley. From new exhibits and shows to one of the best lunch (and breakfast) places around. I guess you could say, its one of our familys favorite places to visit.

Springs preserve has a great hicking trail. The museum is very informative on Nevadas history and people thats fun for the whole family

The grounds are very well kept, and the calendar has so many events. Pricing is reasonable. There is an onsite restaurant, gift shop, and plenty of learning opportunities for the entire family.

Base level member, about 3 years. If you live nearby, get a family pass for the year. You still have to pay to get into events, but other days its free - 2 museums, animal exhibits, trails, and discounted admission to butterfly habitat in season. Nevada State museum is small, but very good (excellent fossils and mining artifacts). Origen Museum is where the travelling exhibits are, some are good, some are underwhelming. Take a walk along the paved trails, you might see a hawk! Events are cool, but pricey. Of course the sites architecture is eye catching, and has excellent garden.

Perfect place for the entire family. The kids will have fun and theres so much to see and learn about how Las Vegas was settled by the pioneers. The history is very interesting how the native American survived the hotweather. So much to see... shows, entertainment, interactive... totally worth it. Go early and spend the whole day.

The Springs Preserve was a fun experience for our toddler to explore and roam. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. We took the train ride tour which was a nice 25 minute ride with a recording playing about the history of the area. Definitely would like to explore the trails when the little one is a bit older.

A great place to spend the day! Not only is it really cheap but there are multiple museums, rotating exhibits, and beautiful trails. If you can catch the Butterfly Habitat exhibit I would highly recommend it!

We always enjoy a breath of fresh air at the Springs Preserve. This is an educational experience and a great alternative to smoke filled Casinos. Parking is ample and access is extraordinary. We rented a scooter and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this location for a nature experience.

Indoor Dino exhibit was little small but good size for a toddler. Couldn’t see the whole place but was really neat. I liked the flash flood area too.staff were nice.

The Springs Preserve is definitely the place to be if you want an escape from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas Strip without driving very far. The atmosphere is peaceful, calming and natural. I walk there quite often as a form of meditation. Ive scene a desert tortoise, snakes, falcons and several other unusual birds on my visits.
