We were in town to have some car work done, and we took a ride out to the park. The layout is very nice, and the staff have done a wonderful job with laying out the two trails, and identifying plants and geological features. Not sure what the amphitheater is used for, but its very nice. The views are terrific, especially of the Organ range. Doing both trails is slightly over two miles over very easy terrain. I highly recommend it for a short side trip.
This is kinda a bit of a hidden gem. It has nice nature trails accessible for all ages. Information placards are also present to educate and expand the knowledge of the desert that is teaming with life. The park does close promptly at the hours listed though. So plan your visit accordingly and track your time. They actually lock the gate at this park and youll be at the mercy of the terrain if no one can is able to unlock it for you. I plan on returning! :)
Beautiful. Easy get away.
Interesting, but very undeveloped. Basically just some trails in the desert
It has been very nicely developed and maintained.
Nice, well maintained area. Good way to familiarize yourself with desert flora and fauna. Do watch out for cacti, my dogs wanted to chase smell trails not understanding the risk.
Ami was awesome presentation of insects was spot-on.
Beautiful and not very busy. There are several trails which have educational plaques throughout. Theres not many options for free range hiking here. The trails arent long and there are benches.
Appropriately lonely and walk deeply into mountains and high mountain basins
Good place to see ants that grow in the desert in this area. Too bad they have vandals though. The rest room is closed because of them.
Pretty easy and scenic trail with informational signs throughout. Bring your own water as there were no water fountains.
Awesome ride on dirt bikes to a small hike lots of cool trails leading off
Neat place. Beautiful and natural.
Ok nothing special
