It was ok. Sites are close together. Campground is a bit dated. Plenty of seasonal/long term residents. Some rigs look abandoned. Depending on the direction of travel to the campground with your rig...its a little tough. Getting out of the campground can be a challenge. 688 is Very busy street.
This resort has a great location. So close to the beaches, the city, shops, etc, you will not find a better location. Some lots are a little tight to park (mainly because of the older trees they have, they make the walk around the resort so scenic) but they all have patios and spaces of grass beside them so I really do not understand why people keep complaining of small sites, for Florida, next to the beach, they are a good size. The pool is heated year round and pretty big, new patio furniture, availability to grill right there where you swim makes for a nice day, really nice day. Corn hole, volleyball courts, horse shoes, billiards, ping pong. They have lots of activities in the clubhouse, all you have to do is go look at the calendar. Their facilities are clean and well kept. They have wifi available for sale with camplink at a standard price (like $40 for 30 days) and free wifi a the clubhouse. People are super nice and you get you standard snowbird season, they have a good mix of ages at the resort. When you come here you for sure know you are on vacation. They love kids here, which is hard to find in beach area Florida, the Manager actually keeps candy in the office for them!!! The staff is super nice but they have a stand out, Leslie the manager. I cannot say enough nice things about this lady. She is very welcoming, always has a smile, you just are instantly in a good mood when she comes around, she gets things done too, she aint just a pretty face, her resort is ran top notch. I hope encore never loses her, I would give this resort 10 stars if I could base the review on her. She is a real delight.
Very clean park, and all the staff are great. If u have an RV Travel trailer, camper, or Coach... I highly recommend this place, there children and pet friendly with bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities on the property, with a beautiful heated pool. Besides short term stays, they most of the time have 6 months + stays available...
So far its been fine. Other than the sites being tight, probably because its an older place. Staff was very attentive when checking in.
The place is boring as hell, theres nothing to do but walk around and look at the other campers.. WOW, u will have the time of your life....NOT...
The wash machines are rusty and worn out. Dryers are not working properly. If you don’t mind dirt instead of grass it can work. There are full time mobile homes on this property that are very run down.Worst of all my purse was stolen from my car.Beware this may not be a safe place. The people I dealt with were very nice.
Super friendly staff. Very accommodating, will definitely be back!
It’s boring and plain. Also there was terrible people shouting racial slurs at us. The staff were rude and weren’t much help. Terrible service. Don’t recommend
While visiting my in-laws at the campground we like to go for walks. While walking around the property I noticed how cute and well maintained all of the property owners keep their homes. The staff is very cooperative being that we asked to move our RV to a better spot and they did not hesitate to accommodate our request. If I were to live permanently in a mobile home park this would be my choice for sure.
I cannot say enough about the manager and staff here. The manager, Leslie, is friendly, professional, helpful and kind. The staff follow suit. They keep the property clean and maintained and always have time to help. The pool area is a true retreat and the space around the grounds is ample. The landscaping is pretty and taken care of regularly. We havent met a single unfriendly neighbor. Vacation Village is dog friendly too, providing space to walk and bags to clean up. We are very pleased.
Small spaces, I expected worse reading the reviews theyve apparently cleaned the place up a bit. Decent pool, premises looks pretty clean. Meh, not my favorite. I wouldnt recommend for a getaway but its O.K. location wise.
Great family park close to everything! Spaces are tight, but the relaxing makes up for it! Leslie in the office is the best! She helped me and my family with the best service!
This is a decent RV park. Not a lot of frills, but what they do gave is pretty clean. It is inexpensive and only a few miles to Indian rocks beach and plenty of shopping. It is not the best place I have stayed in but it is definitely acceptable. I would stay here again if I were in the area
I visit myvfriend when he and his wife camp there. I hope to have my own camper to join them.
Park is older and has not kept up with times for large units. Trees are protected in this area so have not been cut back The office staff is nice, but not well versed on fitting units beyond the length, not for slides. Washing machines in the laundry were out of order and the main bathrooms had a distinctly musty smell. Other campers were friendly and residents were great about moving vehicles so we could squeeze into our lot.
Great place to stay. We stayed for about 6 months before moving on. Facility is clean and well kept and the staff is very friendly, professional, and quick to make reservations when asked. The only problem I seemed to notice was that there was an issue with spots being double booked pretty regularly which caused additional stress for customers and staff. If not for that I would have given 5 stars.
The staff is so friendly and make it a great place to be. They had a pool party and had free catering with unlimited buffet style tacos for guests a few weeks ago!
The office and staff were nice and helpful enough, other RVers in the park were also OK... only real issue was crowding......this park has tight sites that arent very deep or wide. Also very many cars parked on all the streets, blocking some streets a bit making it difficult to get through some days. I guess if you want to stay in the city, this is the park! But it is tight! Very full, at least the weekend we stayed.
The staff is the best we have encountered, especially the manager that greets you with a big smile and she gets out of the way to help. The place is clean and the spaces are easy to get in and out. It lost one star because no wifi except in the club house.
Nice pool friendly helpful
Really awesome resort. Nice pool, plenty of laundry machines, nice library, clean clubhouse and shuffleboard courts. Also, Leslie in the office is am outstanding host- a real gem!!
Nice quiet park!
We spent 3 months here in the winter 2018/2019, Lesley and the staff were great!!Space is tight, but your in the middle of one of the most populated places in FL. Could use a few speed bumps to slow some drivers down,(we give it 4.9 out of 5 due to the staff!)Hope to get a better site next time, as we will be back for 4 months this winter!
We liked it well enough to buy a park model. Only thing I miss is a dog park. But our dog (the last dog due to allergies) is already 12 years old. Not having a dog park wont be a problem long.
Quiet, very friendly staff and neighbors. Very reasonable prices. Its great for all ages!
In our 20+ years of RVing, we have never found a Manager as outstanding as Leslie is!! We have worked at parks around the country and know the challenges that face her every day. Her positive, happy, friendly attitude towards everyone is amazing!! She makes sure each camper has the best experience possible and tries her best to accommodate each person. Yes this park is old with tight sites which is like most of Florida parks. The facilities are clean and pool is great. Lots of activities! My understanding is she has done many improvements since she has been here. Having a Top Notch Manager is one of the most important components of having a great RV Park! This is our second stay here and look forward to more!
We only stopped in the village for a very short time but it seems like a nice place.
Great management and staff!
We scheduled a last minute trip to Florida in our RV and I was desperate for a nice place to stay. I called Vacation Village and easily scheduled with only a weeks notice! They even accommodated us with our truck and small trailer and I am truly grateful for that, as this whole vacation is so my son and husband can take day trips to different motocross tracks. It is very quiet here, the pool is clean and inviting and the rates are very reasonable. We really like it here and will most certainly be back again next year. Thank you Vacation Village for making our trip possible!!
Nice and clean. Just no room to breath. Stacked on top of each other like sardines in a can. Breed restriction on dogs needs work. Not somewhere I would stay. But that is my opinion.
Crowed rv park, good location.
Staff is very personable and helpful. Sites are close like every where else in Clearwater, Florida but the convenient location made it worth while for us.
Nice place to stay, clean, and there is plenty of room off season
Gravel and dirt very tight sites. People friendly. Ulmerton street going west you can not turn directly into park . Go further west to make U turn. Approach going east only.
What an awesome place!Pros:Clean/safe/excellently managedHuge game room with all your favorites, well stocked library, poker tables, volleyball, pCornhole, shuffleboard and more connected to the sparkling fresh pool. Great for friends and family to gather together for a day or evening of fun. Good location near restaurants, bars, grocery and beach (although so much fun to be had here you may decide to stay in with some steaks on the grill)Because of Leslie, Namncy and the rest of the wonderful people here, it feels like a home away from home. Bingo nights for all ages, potlucks.....a lot of great memories to be made here at Vacation Village which is why guests return year after year. Grocery delivery service available from Walmart to cottage or camper front door as well which is a huge plus for vacationers. If you like a laid back Florida vibe with all the fun and luxuries at your doorstep, this is your spot.
An RV park, mostly for long term stays. We just got here for a 1 month stay. Very nice staff, property is clean and maintained. Be cautioned you Cannot turn left into the driveway, call or map out a route.
Who has an RV Park that requires a U turn to enter when coming from the direction of the main highway? Hello...you’re an RV Park. Your customers are people with large vehicles THAT CAN’T MAKE A U-TURN! Don’t bother coming here until someone takes initiative with the city to get it fixed.I had to turn into the neighborhood next door with many signs saying “No RV turnaround.” Hmm, wonder if other people may have had this issue before? Some people might say that it would be helpful if the website had directions instead of just sending you to Google Maps. Or maybe a simple notification when making my reservation. Or a notification in the email confirming my reservation. Or maybe call me since I gave you my phone number when I made the reservation. Nah, that’s too complicated for the park management to figure out. They’d rather just let you figure it out the hard way.I’ve camped in every state in this country and have never seen such a stupid entry to an RV Park.
A little rough for my taste. The mobil was clean though.
Friendly, helpful, clean, quiet. Site was tight for our 40 rig. There are other sites that would have been better.
Great Manger. Good location. About 20 minuets away from the beach. Sites are little smaller than other RV resorts. But we managed to stay and we will go back again because the Manager is very nice and friendly.
Clean. Friendly people. Pool and sport acyivities.
Best place to work in Largo,Florida. The entire staff from the front ️office, grounds keeper, and the late night crew are willing and glad to help you enjoy your vacation and make wonderful memories. They love seeing all the return faces as well the new faces. So where would I stay in Largo,Florida??Vacation Village RV Resort
No free wifi 10 dollers a day and poor signal only 2 bars or less around the park
Nice quiet place, close to US-19
Stopped to meet with a resident that wanted to adopt a puppy. Was impressed by the property and the people. I am considering moving there
Enjoyed being there.
The park in general was great and the staff very friendly but I do have some complaints. The site was small and close together (which is typical for Florida Encore parks) and the park had A LOT of dogs. During the day they would constantly bark. In one trailer, the owner left for the day and the poor dog howled all day long. I should point out that also had a small dog but we try to keep her supervised. The park is located on a very busy street and you have to make a u-turn to get into the park if you come from the east.
Beware! We stayed at Vacation Village for a couple of weeks in June 2017. Our site was small for a 40 ft motoehome, Had to park car sideways in front of RV. The resident of the site directly across from backed a van into the side of our car. The resident was an annual resident of the park with no insurance for the van. He told the police he would pay for damage, but would not return our phone calls. He did leave us a nasty note. Bottom line, we were responsible for paying for damage to our car. Park is not responsible for any such damage. But If the residents are that irresponsible, the park management should be evict them from the park.
Manager is great; site was level and easy to get into. Ulmerton Road is very busy. You can only turn right. Sometimes have to wait a long time before you can pull into traffic. Lots of activities. Will definetly be back
Nice place. Friendly people and staff. Management is easy to work with and very nice.My only issue is the few people that dont pick up after there dog. They also let their dog pee on my truck tires every morning. The way some people speed through I have almost been hit walking!
Lived year round at one time loved it very nice great people that run the place. Very clean
Its not a park we will ever return to..because my husbands bike was stolen off our patio. There is NO security, shady people just come and go.The staff just shrugged and said there isnt anything they can do.The sites are so close together that you cant even put out your Dish Tailgater without RV next door complaining...its on their site. The office staff was okay and check in was easy.
Nice RV Park. Friendly staff. Good amenities, pool, clubhouse, restrooms, showers and laundromat. Not far from US 19 or I-275. Can handle most RVs and tow behind trailers. Full hook up, no cable. Free Wi-Fi in clubhouse.
Nice. Clean. Leslie is awesome. Second time staying here for work. And it will be my first choice next time.
Nice and friendly park
Nice park, Leslie is a fantastic manager. Pool is always clean and there is a great community here.
Our in-laws stayed here for an evening in their RV, they are happy with the price for what they got. Exact quote was run of the mill lots of long-term tenants.
Clean friendly.
Nice clean place with everything in working order.Easy in and easy out onto Ulmerton Rd
Nice campground/trailer park. Bring bug spray!!!!
Awesome
We love it here, been coming for 2 yrs and will be back next year. Some places need to be cleaned up or demoed. But all and all love the people and employees.
Ok but far from perfect.
Just visiting last week. We stayed at the campground years ago. They have a non-denominational Church service on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM starting December 2nd.
Vacation Villiage is not a place to live for a year around after the park manager didnt care bout me an I almost died in the park. My family and I got kicked out and she wont tell us why she wanted us out. She never letting my family and I visit our friends and after I talked to largo poilce they said I can. I was treating like I was worthless. The park manager blames me for all I did wrong but it was some of me and more my ex best friend. She always did stuff with ppl. She steal money from me and I help her family out a lot. Ppl talk behind ur back all the time.
Nice area good location not far from things to do
Friendly staff and nice laundry area. Park has many park models at least 20 years and older as well as long term rvs with plenty of junk outside. I personally would not return to this location.
Friendly staff and a clean park. Cons is the spots are tight and some of the neighbors were screaming at 4 am that they loved eachother (not the parks fault). Also a little beautification would go a long way. Overall would recommend the park its close to the beaches and restaurants.
This place is fantastic the people in nice friendly and helpful
Love this place one day when I grow up Im going to live here Im just visiting helping out a AAA member they got volleyball a pool its like a campground I love camping group camping in an RV this area brings it all back
Aside from the roof workers next door everythings great
Pretty nice
An amazing get away for any family even if its in town.
Leslie at office. Very efficient...
Great place to stay and not very many miles to a huge flea market! Management is the best!! Close to Wal-Mart eating places and the ocean! :)
Affordable commercial quality patio furniture and refinishing, re strap, re sling, replacement parts and umbrellas
Im editing my last post about Vacation Village because I posted wrongly. My previous star rating was only a 1 and that was incorrect. Weve been here since Sept 5th and its a great place. Leslie the office manager is a gem to work with and I hope will become a friend to us. Leslie was very gracious to us during Hurricane Irma. I even did some volunteer cleanup around the park to show my appreciation. Thanks again Leslie and I apologize for the rating mixup.
Very nice place quiet and great service
Recently stayed two nights without checking reviews. 42ft. pusher, sites very tight otherwise a decent, quiet stay. Full of snow birds and still managed to let us in without reservations.
Friendly staff. Convenient to Florida west coast attractions. 50 amp service. Stayed here in a 42 motorhome.
Comfortable and quit
The nicest and friendliest of all Encore RV parks, front offcie is awesome, especially Leslie.....
It seems like it is nice place. I have a friend lives there. He likes it.
This is a well run and pretty nice RV park. My wife and I stayed there while in town looking for a rental house. It served that purpose well. It can be a little noisy so close to a busy road and the airport. The only other nitpick I have is that the hook ups are sometimes weirdly spaced. I had to get an extension cord for the shore power and use a really long hose for water. This is the only place Ive been that had them oriented inconveniently.
Great place to stay beaches and restaurants all near buy
Nice campground, many trees and squirrels for my Peaches, to watch and chase.
Will definitely go back
Good place to visit, good location and a first class manager.
Very nice, quiet, well maintained and Leslie and staff are Super Nice.
Best RV campground in the country
Love this rv park
Its starts fairly clean only downfall nosiest people including staff lack of privacy..
Just got wife out of hospital with severe bronchitis so people across the street lit a stinking fire with smoke blowing our way, I was told this was a campground, but really at someone elses discomfort???
Friendly staff! Large variety of entertainment and activities. Reasonably priced.
Nice place to stay for free we are members.
Unit is very clean. Nice neighborhood.
We are giving one star because its the lowest....so sad theres none lower category like no star at all. Though ill give it to Mrs Leslie the only good thing in there. Sadly we are still living here and hopefully not a month more. The old people that come here will mistread your children they will lie about you complain all the time and do everything they want....but the sadest thing about the place is that management let them rule!!! Not a Family friendly place! No playground no children activities and kids are accepted on the place but not tolerate. You can no go to dispute nothing cause its just a waste of time. After this ill burn down My camper hate the place and left a bad taste of the experience in long term camping
Great management and great rates.
