Love highland! Both kids have attended summer camp here and we will continue bringing them. youngest goes to VPK here at little pals and we couldnt be happier with the teachers. They are incredible and so involved. All of the staff here has been so kind and helpful. I cant say enough great things about Highland!

Ive been going to Highlands rec center for years. I love doing the gym upstairs I love The Walking track it is awesome. My granddaughter goes here during camp. We had a nice function at the pool through her school also very nice place to go for family outings!. I wish I could find out the history on Highlands to wear as when I first came to Florida we used to go there and they used to have a huge pool with a diving board a high dive excetera I was just looking for some history thats all

Too my kids here to release dinner energy while on vacation. Only cost 6 dollars per child to play. Clean area, indoors so it was in AC (a huge plus during the FL heat!) A half wall surrounds the address so it is easy to ensure the kids do not leave the area with out your knowledge. A HUGE 3 story twisty slide was the highlight to my kids. Would HIGHLY recommend this to any parents needing to a place to allow their kids to burn some energy. I also saw a splash pad, basket ball courts, a gym etc at the center although I did not use these areas.

Before all it was was pay then you get in now for teens you need to have an adult sign you in or come with you to get a membership and if your adult trying to get a membership you have to bring 50 things thats to get one when before you could just pay for one

This place is awesome. So much fun for the whole family. The girl supervising the play area, Michaela, has been playing tag with my 3-year old. Hes having a blast.

Nice clean gym but they almost NEVER have open gym for basketball. All they care about is bad mitten which seems to have control over the place 24/7. This is unfair to everyone who doesn’t play bad mitten

They had annual pirate event at the swimming pool today & my kids love Santa margarita crews. Awesome kid-friendly people. We will miss you!

Live in Belleair Bluffs and pass the center all the time. Looks like a lot of fun for a city park. Too bad its $27 for two hours for me and my two children. Guess the city caters to the wealthier residents. Not many parents can afford $30 to swim for a few hours.

Super crowded with summer camps, expensive for only two hours and the staff made me dump out my water bottle filled with tap water because food and drinks can only be bought from the snack bar. I understand if it was snacks or something other than water, but it was tap water!

Playworld is an awesome place for the kids to come play when its just too hot outside. My son plays here almost every day and loves it! Who wouldnt love a 4 story slide!!

This place is a joke, i guess your never allowed to shoot baskets as a 17 yr old and a 20 yr old. Theres only teen time and adult time. So goodluck

I have come to highland rec with my girls for events many times over the years and I have always had an amazing experience. This past summer I decided to bring my niece and my husband‘s niece to the sports camp there and that is when I had an extremely bad experience with two employees, mainly one named Z but the others name is Rachel both working the front desk. They were rude to my nieces parents as well as one of my nieces whom Z told to “find the bathroom yourself kid” during camp. Both were rude to me after I was told that Zumba was cancelled and one of the gentleman named Mike (great guy) at camp told myself, my nieces and daughters that we could play for free in the play area since It was cancelled. I proceeded to get bracelets from the front desk and they told me that no one was supposed to do that, they were very rude and condescending then continued to gossip about their coworker Mike who apparently did this horrid thing. I asked for their names considering they were rude to my brother and his wife previously. Z has a very bad attitude and even proceeded to ask me why I wanted to know their names and what my review said. He did this on numerous occasions trying to intimidate me. Little did he know I hadn’t written one yet but I just wanted to give them an opportunity, I was hoping maybe one of them had a bad day and this wasn’t a usual occurrence but time and time again this gentleman was extremely disrespectful. He should NOT be aloud to work around kids point blank. Most of the staff members I’ve met are extremely pleasant but I could not hold my tongue as I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

One of my favorite places in this city for yoga classes, zumba and all types of fun activities with family and friends! When my brother visited from Canada with his kids, Highland Recreation Center offered excellent activities at an affordable price. The play land kept the youngest ones busy while the older ones played basketball and hung out. Visitors to our community are always amazed at the wide range of activities offered by this facility.

This is the best recreation facility in Pinellas County! Largo has definitely shown an investment in recreational activities with Highland recreation center, Southwest recreation center, Largo Central Park and the Largo Library. There is so much to do! I would love to thank the Pickleball players for welcoming me on the court to learn the game. My kids love the Playplace, the pool and all the events that are organized for our recreational purposes. While they play, I enjoy FREE wi-fi to get work done. Also, a hidden gem is the fitness center, track and classes. As a resident, for $99 a year, I get a state-of-the-art workout area at two facilities. I love Largo recreation and THANK YOU to the recreation staff and city for giving us this gift! The best part about Largo recreation are the people- kind, loving and friendly!

Great place for kids! The pool area is so amazing, everything is well kept and clean. Take your kids there, you wont regret it. P.S. by the time the kids arrive home they will be sound asleep.

If you want to lose weight or do a workout, or practice some sport this is the best place, it is a place for the family ... unbeatable prices, super clean bathrooms and very friendly staff ...

The pool isn’t open till May. Till May in Florida ? They said it isn’t a heated pool. I said that’s fine it’s florida. It’s 90 degrees most months. They said it’s not always 90 degrees. I said it doesn’t matter it’s Florida. For you guys to not open your pool until May is ridiculous when people everywhere else in florida are using their pools all year long whether they are heated or not because it’s hot enough outside to enjoy the water no matter what. Why do you think this area is so popular for spring break in March and yet you won’t even open your pool in March. Right now it’s January and it’s 85 degrees but the pool isn’t open. People from the north who visit think you’re stupid for this. I think you’ve lost a lot of customers from this bad administration decision. Hire more people and open your pool.I also live down the street but because I’m in Clearwater and not largo officially I can’t get the resident membership rate which is ridiculous as well. I’ve seen other reviews on here that say expand your territory. I’m literally down the street from you all and I don’t qualify for your residencial membership.I think you should expand your territory also.

Love love love this place. The staff is amazing, the facility is amazing! I can workout while my older son plays and on days where I dont have a sitter for my younger son, I use the outdoor gym. Love this place.

I love bringing my kids here to the Playworld! They love it and have so much fun. The only issue I have is that it seems like almost every time we go, my kids end up with some kind of cold or something. Im not sure if they need to clean and sanitize better or what but for the parents out there, PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE IF THEY ARE SICK OR EVEN GETTING OVER BEING SICK! We were just there last week and there were at least two kids running around with a horrible cough that couldnt have been allergies. Sure enough my kids have runny noses and coughs this week

Walked in main area to use restroom on way to pavilion for a reserved birthday party. Was told twice firmly that we were unable to use restroom even though we were right there - we had to walk all the way to the tennis courts. Left a present for you in there suckers:) horrible customer service and lazy. Ive rented your space more than 15 times and will never again:)

We go all the time and the staff is never really that friendly. We were in the indoor play place and they warned us that they were closing in 5 minutes so my kids were in the very top and they completely shut the lights off and my youngest flipped out. I find it very rude and unprofessional that they would just turn the lights off on little kids. I had to leave my young son on the bottom by himself to go get her cause she was freaking out. They should have gone over he speaker again and said we are now closed. We will not be returning

Well worth the couple of dollars to get in. Very clean and plenty to do for the little ones. I am a little jealous that my children can play on the 3 story play ground and not me. Also I cannot wait for the water play area to open.

Great place, But as a single father with three kids just outside the Largo line can not afford the non resident recreation card. Really should extend a little... Sad

By far the best in Pinellas! Love the gym and the staff...also love that they have showers there.

While at a pool party my 9 year old whom can ride rides at Busch gardens being 48 inches was told the last 30 minutes of a party she was to short! I have videos of her going down their slides for an hour and a half. The measurements at the bottom of slide show the height is correct. The upstairs PVC that is glued together and shows a hair off.. The Lead Lifeguard Lauren is the one that said my child could no longer go down. If there were other children that were not going down the slide that would have been fine.. Meanwhile my child was crying on the stairs because she was no longer allowed down.. We have a party there in a few weeks I will be bringing my childs Dr.a physical showing her height!! This truly is so petty and I will be calling tomorrow!!

I really like that this recreation complex has a lot of activities for families.

I love the aquatics area, game room, indoor play area and outside playground. Everythings very clean and well taken care of!
