Great park. Updated equipment my son loves it here and it surrounded by nice scenery and full of nature.

The hours for the pool are not conducive with work schedules. No available classes during the day.

I have attended Johnny’s very popular and high quality classes for quite some time now at the southwest facility. It appears that management out of spite to the class attendees, Johnny, or both, have decided to move his classes to the unattendable hour of 615 AM. It leaves so many of us having to look for classes at other facilities, since most of us will choose not to attend other available lower quality classes. I find this change of time in an effort to ‘kill’ Johnny’s classes an extremely petty act and a clear sign of poor and unqualified management at the the Southwest facility.

Love this pool! This is a beautiful facility. Pool is well maintained. I come here from Seminole as this pool is heated, bigger,and has better hours!Seminole made a big mistake when they didn’t set up a pool like this one!

Went over 10 for years, used to be amazing. Now ALOT of the staff is gone that made it special. I know who ruined it but will be nice. No longer feels like the family it used to be that my kids loved. They cleaned out some great instructors too. All good things come to an end I suppose.

We go there to play pickleball, The courts are very nice and so are the staff but they have a pickleball teacher that isnt supposed to come in before we are done at 1pm but they let him come in 30Minutes early which takes a court away from paying customers, Not sure why.he is allowed to take a court away early

I cant even accurately rate them because the info Im looking on their website is non existent. They are supposed to be a Silver Sneakers facility but there is absolute NO info on their website and their FB page hasnt been active since July 2018. Too bad those of us in the area have to go to Seminole but their facility is better anyway.

Awful place! The most disrespectful lifeguards ever! Today we visited this place with my two girls and want to share with community how upset me and my daughters! Two lifeguards yelling and screaming to kids for the littlest of thing. I don’t have words to describe this. My kids so upset about this Pool Party!

The staff needs training. The director is a joke i called three times a day for two weeks leaving messages with no response. We asked when do we get the deposit back they said the same day then afterwards they told us it would be up to two weeks this place is a joke and so is the director of this place i will be calling city hall

Largo Recreation South West complex is fantastic. The facilities are clean and well equipped. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have been at other locations that were not up to the Largo Recreation standards.

Very nice rec center, large pool with diving boards, several clay tennis courts, and several daily programs including summer camps. The facility is well kept up, and very clean.

Great little complex and the staff there are AWESOME! They treat everyone who walks in the door with a smile and really go the extra mile in service and answering any questions.

Great amenities, outside and in. Cool off in the pool or bring the family to the outdoor playground. Great adult fitness activities on the court, field and indoor/outdoor gyms.

This was actually taken across the way a bit at the Christmas light at the original Floridas home park. Beautiful lights, walking, music, lots of reminiscing here, great place at christmastime.

My daughter and i had a daughter and daddy dance there and let me say her and i really enjoyed our selfs! Thank you southwest rec center from the bottom of our hearts....

Swimming lessons..work out..you name it they have it . And after care camps and summer camps. My sons all went to the programs even 20 years ago and its better now

Adequate gym equipment for a good workout. Immaculately maintained. Rec center also provides a game room, full basketball court, 2 raquet ball courts, clean locker rooms, pool with lanes and fun spray stuff for kids, decent sports fields, covered playground, meeting rooms. Kid friendly programs. This facility has what most people would look for in a rec center.Pros: clean, well maintained, friendly knowledgeable staffCons: 9 pm closing means I never get a full work-out. Saturday hours are 8-4, too short for my use. Would give 5 stars if hours were extended until 10.

First time being at this complex. The people were extremely friendly asinviting. Many things to do at this complex.

Nice pool but needs upgrades like big scoreboard, new locker room etc.

Had Easter egg hunt for the family. They had a blast.

This ia a great place to exercise, play tennis, basketball and there are fitness classes as well.

We had our parent activity here for my twins head start it was fun and southwest rec is a great place for you event!

My family and I go work out. They have classes for adults and kids of all ages. My dads even goes and does some of the classes for his age...plus it keeps him some what social.

The Halloween costume Zumba was ectra fun.

Awesome. Everything is high class and clean and has everything you want in a rec center plus more.

Good clean place. Got my scuba diving lessons there.

Not enough parking

Ive lived here for 38 years, brought up 4 very active children, with very active imaginations. The Southwest Rec. Center wasnt as big as it is now but the pool gave them lots of summer fun as well as summer camp. They had this circus that would come and the kids could learn different things in the circus to participate in. My daughter rollerskated and was toss around in the air,then she had another act that while being swong around held by her feet wrapped around his neck, all the while her face is just inches from the floor that is when you see the sparkler get lit by the floor. She was 10yrs old at the time and she loved it. Older kids did the flying trapeze and balancing acts.As they got older the boys would play basketball outside and in. And as time goes by they started using the weight room. And even as my family grew up the next generation is starting and Grandpa spends alot of time over their with his granddaughter.

It has everything for a neighborhood facility gym and sports complex.good luck ever getting in the pool.whats good about that is there are allot of appartment complexs across the road to sneak and use their pools, lol
