Beautiful park along the riverwalk. Lots of great trees and views, and two good playgrounds for kids. The basketball courts appear to be in good shape as well. All this being said, I would not go here alone after dark. Its beautiful, but poorly lit and because of the trees it gets dark very quickly. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Improving and Awesome. People just act better when here.
City yet not river trail fishing kayak and canoe launch........ Beautiful trees and play ground
A beautiful wooded park off of moores River drive. There are nice spots for fishing and kayak launching. There are also a couple of playgrounds for kids to play on. The equipment is kind of run down and in need of some TLC, but I guess it serves the purpose. There are plenty of areas with picnic tables for gatherings and picnics. I believe there were a couple of shuffleboard courts, if I remember right. There is also a big public swimming pool that I have never personally used, but it has been there for years and I know of people who enjoy using it for a swim. The park also connects to the Lansing River trail Network, and is a nice launching point for River trail riding throughout the city. For whatever reason, it seems like people are usually smoking dope in the parking lots here.
Not a terrible spot to go to,nice spot for a wide variety of fish species, just be aware of your surroundings after nightfall, can get pretty sketchy, some real characters come out there, especially since COVID everyone comes down and parties and fights and ruins the night. But overall not bad, especially during the day, early evening.
Theres a lot of people here thats a really nice place to take a walk
The park is well kept but the bathrooms always need work
Nice place to bring the family an have a picnic do a little fishing
Very large lovely park with lots of built in activities for all ages. Connects to the Lansing River Trail.
Beautiful place to visit for whatever you like to do! Soccer field, basketball fishing, kayaking and a playground for the kids
Nice safe neighborhood park, lots to do, could be a tad cleaner around the water but fun local fishing area!!
Great little park. Enjoyed a nice picnic there.
Kids had a good time playing here.
It might be good if the pool was able to be used. Even if the governor gave the OK, it is in such disrepair, it couldnt be used. Maybe next year.
The bike trail is nice you can fish also
Had a good Time! Hadnt been there in years and There is a lot of Nature to explore and we came across some Nice people!(Brought our own TP...JS )
Nice little park, located next to the dam, to shallow to fish though.
Pleasant park right on the river.
Needs a few more places for parking
Not very well maintained. To many people smoking weed out in the open. Needs some landscape attention like bad.
Loved the water and walk but not enough parking for all that visit there
Great place to relax
Great place to have a disassociating mental breakdown, can speak from experience.
Good couple of parks across from the power plant but always lots of mosquitos and spiderwebs on play equipment
Nice new picnic area.
Very cool park, well maintained
So nice to walk and just sit and chill
Quiet park with the sound of rushing water as the river rushes over the dam and through the rapids below. Usually people fishing as well. Large open park with some old building relics of Lansing’s past.*Bonus* Pretty cool view of the Moore’s River power house, up close. Also, the old school Natorium (swimming arena)...although it is sadly no longer in use.
One of the best parks in Lansing. Large, lots of different attractions to offer including a labyrinth, soccer and basketball courts, fishing, swimming pool, picnic benches, bathrooms, trails for hiking and biking, and natural beauty. If you cross the bridge and walk past the river it takes you to the heart of REO Town, and the trails connect you to the Lansing River Trail.
It will be better this summer there in the process of Rehabing all of their buildings and picnic area
Great place to relax
I love this place its good for fishing my only complain is the public restrooms are for multiple people and the toilet doesnt have a door or wall to cover it so you could be in the middle of using the toilet and someone could barge in and see you.
Nice intrence to the river trail
This park has been around at least a century and for good reasons. Very peaceful clean and offers something for just about everyone. Theres a River trail, fishing areas, swimming pool, basketball court, And play area for the kids. Lovely park! Well lighted at night. Highly recommend to all who love the outdoors,
My sweet escape!
Awesome quite place
Relaxing place to unwind .fish or just enjoy the river walk

Great canoe/kayak launch. Current is never too much to paddle back upstream.

Nice park for family friendly day and great view of Lansings iconic towers
Nice and quit place to go if your on a lunch break or just want some alone time, good spot to fish also
Everything about that trail is great
Lots of chill space, but they tore the soul out of it with the 40+yrs of engraveings an memories, that could have been revisited, but tore from us up, people who live by it an grew up our whole llifes by it lost memories for life, Nice park are, enjoy it how u want!
We absolutely love the public pool. Its easily accessible from the river trail and its free...
I am a fishaholic and this was my first time fishing in the Lansing area as I wanted to fish the Grand River. I was not disappointed, caught a 19” catfish at the dam; others were catching nice sized smallmouth. I left at 10pm but would’ve stayed longer if I didn’t have an hour drive home. Will definitely come back.
The facility looked interesting. I like the big bowl shape. The lifeguards were responsible and doing their jobs diligently. The water was very cold and kinda dirty: I found at least 3 live caterpillars wriggling around desperately on the surface and at least 4 dead ones floating as well. The only trees are at least 40 feet above the pool so I cant help but imagine a caterpillar falling falling falling and with a tiny splash, like when one drop off water falls into a pool, falling into a pool.
Egg hunt for the kids.Very nice time.Windy and moderately coolGoing home have a great day
Old gems all over.
Well maintained, clean and safe.
A beautiful view of the Grand river and the BWL towers which can be seen from miles away. A playground for the children as well as a touch of nature at times. Fishing, bicycle trail and minor picnic grounds are available. The setback is the city doesnt do much of maintenance work of the park
Nice walking paths
This place isnt like it was before Lansing needs to fix it up!!!!
Public bathrooms were locked my last visit so thats why theyre missing a star. Overall theres 3 playgrounds and a pool and a river so theres lots for kids to do. Nice and clean!
Use to mow this park, but its still one of the best parts in Lansing.
Used the pool. The the cleanest locker room, but it all seemed very safe and nice.
Biggest and best park in Lansing. On the river trail and in the shadow of the mighty stacks
Great place to pound a 40 of Colt 45, get a hummer from one of the park lizards always lounging nearby, and enjoy Lansings finest waterfall.
Nice place to relax and listen to the water and fish!!!
Beautiful! I love the scenery here, its very peaceful!
Its clean and quiet but it was midday and I wouldnt go at night.
Great place to bring the kids, nice playgrounds, trails, basketball courts and pool
I enjoy walking around this park almost everyday.
Love going to sit by the dams. Very peaceful. And have a nice park for the kids. Can also go fishing and have a pool there for the family as well.
Its a nice park for Lansing I just dont recommend going there at night
Very nice workers. And they keep it clean
Was here to fish. Did not get anything going but good place to hangout regardless
Always super busy and they have a nice pool as well
Decent visuals type of park. Decent trails .
Nice to relaxing
I really like this park, it has a lot of charm and the river is just so relaxing.
I think this is a wonderful place for taking a bike ride, or just relaxing after a day of work ...!! I just experienced it last weekend with my first grandchild ! My daughter loves it there and will soon be taking the baby on the new bike seat I just bought him! Moores Park is just at the end of her street....what a convenience for a new Mom !!
Beautiful large park with access to fishing, childrens playgrounds, tennis court, basketball, swimming pool, and lively river walk!
Very interesting park. Next to a river over looking a giant power plant, while standing on grass knoll. Great place to picnic, tennis, or swim. Playgrounds, Lansing river trail access, and lots of parking. Definitely one of landings better parks.
Good cleaning pool nice place
Behavior & I I could write volumes - Ill gather my notes. Going into its 97 the Birthday.
Nice place to visit. Good fishing, public pool. Clean and connects to the river trail that connects to all of Lansing following alongside the Grand River.
Awesome park, very clean and lots of friendly people! Lots of kids as well!
Nice serene park along the Grand River, great place for fishing and walking, as well as a public pool.
Love watching the water here
Beautiful historic park, feels secluded due to forest even in the middle of the city. Playgrounds, labyrinth, courts.
Out town visit
Great people work therr
A gem in the middle of Lansing! Public pool is beautiful and worth preserving.
