This park is amazing, never seen one like this before. The slides and things are huge, and there is a separate fenced to toddler play area. Perfect for all ages!

Outstanding public service! What a wonderful staff and facility.

Lan oak is cool for what it is. I only go for the fitness center. Good workout equipment and not a lot of meat heads hovering around the stations so accessibility is good. Always clean and staff is nice. Only thing I would change is the sauna, its attached to the pool areas which is typical but then you get all of this in and out traffic making it difficult to keep the heat in.

Lansing is a great neighborhood with lots of activities to provide for the community. My family & I always enjoy the events and community outings

Both my children were signed up for a swimming class in the afternoon. My child got hurt twice under the supervision of the swim instructor. The swim instructor did not know how to manage the children in the swimming pool. She would allow the students to swim at the same. The children would swim into each other. My child wanted to tell the instructor that she got hurt when another child pushed her against the pool wall. The swim instructor ignored her. I told the front desk and they refuse to let me talk to the director. They told me it was my job to make sure my children didnt get hurt.

I really like this community center. This workout room is nice and I really enjoyed the pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well!

Nice, clean & quiet

Very clean facility, friendly and helpful staff. Workout area is well kept, machines in great working order. The free weight area has no weird smell to it, and was organized. Had my membership for a year now, and the building and employees were always on point. I will be renewing my membership!

This staff is the best. From maintenance to the teachers, everyone is friendly and helpful.

Its clean. They offer great programs. However, I feel discriminated against. I feel my concerns and voice do not matter and the experience my son is to encounter bears no importance to the program director. She was cold and not at all interested in the issue I brought to her attention. Unfortunately, my child will not be participating in any other programs that are held in this facility. It is a shame he can not enjoy activities in his neighbor. Its 2019... It is unfortunate the energy of some put me in the mind of it being the 1950s... :-(

This is a wonderful place for a workout. The staff are nice, the equipment is well maintained and the price is great, especially for Lansing residents.

Worst place ever. Front desk people behave as if asking them to do something that is part of their job duties is a problem. We signed up for a 2 for 1 fitness membership and can say, I deeply regret it. The front desk workers are rude, when I ask them to sign me in if I left my members card at home. Its only been 3 times Ive asked. The receptionist stated she can lose her job if she kept signing me in instead of having me buy a new members card. Thats ridiculous. She stated she wasnt going lose her job over $5 and continued to converse privately with a coworker over a physical altercation that occurred prior.

The workout rooms are extremely clean the pool is awesome the hot tub everything is very nice

I wish there were more free events and activities. Especially considering the cost of property taxes to keep this place going. Also, the non resident rate is so low...which is great for non residents- but other local communities charge much more for nonresidents.

I go early morning. The facility is clean, it is quiet. I can use ALL of the machines and weights I want, and the staff members are helpful and attentive!!

My boy has pre school here and the teachers there are awesome. They offer programs that fits any budget. The parents that take there kids here are also awesome.

Decent place. Clean. I go because they have a steamroom (which is hard to find in the area). It would be great if the steamroom was on all day. It takes a while to heat up. The gym is small so it can be a bit crowded some days. Staff is friendly. Overall good.

I loved the place, clean and polite workers

I highly recommend the robotics and simply circuits class for your 3rd- 5th grader.We also tried the archery class for my husband and son that was a lot of fun and helped building the father son relationship!

Love our parent and child aquatic class! Everyone is nice and helpful. Like they classes the offer...when they arent being cancelled.

The facility is outdated. The staff is pleasant, accommodating and friendly . The director, however, is dismissive, deceitful and condescending. The Board seems to meet to discuss their personal travels, events and aesthetic issues rather than the people they serve.

I have been taking my son to various toddler classes for about 18 months now. We both have fun, the activities are engaging and the teachers are great with the kids. Ms. Sheila is awesome!

Clean facility, nice pool, good assortment of cardio and weight machines as well as a free weight room. Can join classes or work at your own pace. Love it here!

Nice park,only complaint is the younger childrens play areas fence was missing so many slats,that it wasnt really set apart from the big kids

I have tried for a few years to CONSISTENTLY get my son in a boys basketball team with Lan-Oak. It never fails-there is always some sort of block. The customer service representative either doesnt know the EXACT dates that the program is to start or they dont have a session in place for his age (10 years old).Today when I called, the phone representative said the basketball sessions were only for first and second graders. Luckily, someone over heard her relay that information to us over the phone and corrected her simply stating that there were basketball sessions for him but they didnt start until December. While I wasnt thrilled at the far out dates, I inquired as to the exact date. Again, not only did she not know the dates but informed me that I should look up session dates and times online and again, she had to be corrected by someone on her end.My gripes? She isnt the only one that seems to be uninformed about sessions, their dates and times. This happens REGULARLY. 1. Customer service representatives who answer the phone should be knowledgeable about sessions, dates and times and shouldnt be so quick to refer people in another direction until all questions have been properly answered.2. Basketball sessions/leagues should not be so far apart. With an increase in crime, keeping children active year round should be high priority and ballet & bowling shouldnt be the only programs year round. In fact, Chicago isnt the only city that has an increase in horrendous crimes with over 500 shootings. From crimes that include armed robberies to sexual predators both registered and unregistered, Lansing, Lynwood & surrounding cities are not exempt from trouble & these are recorded facts.Ive had some of the same concerns for years. However, Ive never wanted to publicize negativity but todays phone call to Lan-Oak was extremely frustrating. With inconsistent basketball programming that is spaced out too far to representatives being seemingly clueless about the activities, it just doesnt look good from a business or community perspective.

Just want to informed people at our community, whats going on at the lan oak park district, at the Eisenhower center, Monday January 15-18, I went to the gym after getting out from work like 6;30p like I been doing for theses pass years, at also park right in front facing the big windows by the swimming pool at the fitness are, that u assume, there is planning of light at the are, at also u car is visible right. what a surprised when I get out it there I notice the second glass window of the passenger side was broken, they take anything they can find, so instantly I went inside at I asked the receptionist at the main desk did u have cameras, she said no, we only have one by the play ground area, nice very nice, no cameras around for a public place that we paid our membership at also part of our taxes go there, my question is, what the people at the lan oak park district board are doing to keep up with the safety to the people, the attend to the gym at also to the safety to all the people that they take their kids to preschool everyday, did they are safe ? or we are safe ? this is so sad the Sharon Desjardins at her team just worried about buying different chars for the swimming pool at changing, the fitness machine every 6 months, not even thinking safety first . at also I was talking with a older man at the gym Saturday morning at he was telling me that, there is a women cutting people locks at taking everything she can, really how this is possible, where we going to leave our stuff, not even using locks is secure our stuff.. I really dont appreciate the cup of coffee they provides for us because is just to brain wash our face pretending they care about our community at pretending they working for us, really ! I never see improved at the gym with this type of people running the park, we need a change of people, thinking at the safety of the kids, older people at regular people that attend the park for different reason, also my son play banquet ball over there unfortunally is very sad at also I was thinking any day people going to start acting crazy because is not a place where the kids at parents have fun at enjoy the game, people acting very rude at yell a lots of bad stuff to the kids, why they dont have a police officer there every time they have a event like this . this community is changing very bad, is very sad . to see people yes people destroying everything that some people work very hard to have what we have . I only give u one start because I have to, but not is cero 0000000Rogelia U.

Great place for a workout, swim, or a pickup game of basketball. Always clean and super friendly staff.

Had a horrible experience with the swimming lessons instructor. My sister just started her lessons for this season. After two lessons, the instructor called my mother to let her know that she no longer wants my sister attending her class. Her explanation was that she was crying too much and ran around the pool, which made other parents complain. She also stated that my sister was too young to be attending her class.Mind you that my sister has been taking lessons at Lan Oak Park District since she was able to! And she loves to be in water, yes she gets fussy from time to time but that is no reason for the teacher to reject her from the lessons. This was handled very unprofessionally towards my parents and definitely not fair for my four year old sister. The instructor could have given her a warning or talked to my parents to explain what was going on. But instead my mother gets a call from the instructor saying that she no longer wants my sister attending her class.My sister has been attending all the clubs that Lan Oak offers (ex. dance, gymnastics, mommy and me, karate, swim, pre-k). My family has put in a lot of effort for my sister to be involved and make friends. But with this experience we wont be returning.This experience with the swim lessons instructor has made us lose all respect and trust we had with Eisenhower Community. Honestly wish they could have handled the situation better.Do not recommend the swim lessons or the instructors for children. Pay more and get treated better at different locations!!

Horrible experience, my son went to camp there for one session and one of the camp leaders was so mean and disrespectful to him. I took my concerns to the Director Jim Wilson and they are even more unprofessional and rude. Which is why the camp leaders are wild, rude and disrespectful. The director didnt even take the time to ask myself or my child in a private setting our version of events, rather dismissed us as if we were not paying customers. I spent over $400 for my son to attend a ghetto camp where they have field trips at Baskin Robbins. Id like to know where my money is being spent cause clearly its not for my childs summer experience. Back to the less than unprofessional safe who yells in campers face and bullies them. I wish Id never enrolled my child here and I will let everyone know that this camp is a horrible place to leave your child. Please pass this place up!

Nice community center for the village of Lansing

Registration Policy for membership is ridiculous and needs change. Wanted to join Fitness Center and pay contract off with my American Express Credit Card . Was told by clerk to bring a copy of my credit card statement in order to enroll. My statements are private and personal shouldnt be a requirement to join. Registration Policy is primitive and needs to be updated.
