The 5 stars is for the cast and kind people working there. We went to see the greatest Christmas pageant ever and believe me it was the best show ever. The staff was real nice. The only draw back is the seating. To close for comfort. But still well worth the money.

Viewed Heathers the musical. Great play with a great cast, a very comfortable, intimate seating [and they are improving the seats soon, not that they were a problem!]. Also, unlimited popcorn refills!

I enjoyed my experience so much! Everyone did a fantastic job in Heathers, if I could give them another round of applause I would! The theater itself was intimate and comfortable. The middle sections didnt have the more leg room but theyre working on that. Because its such a small theater even the people who were a few minutes late (to a sold out show no less) were able to enjoy the whole show which was lovely. I highly reccomend trying to go to a show, they put a lot of work into them and deserve the recognition!

Small unassuming and a somewhat dingy exterior open up to a wonderful community on the inside. We saw Forbidden Broadway, which was hysterical and the vocals were amazing. However the best thing about our experience was the community and how friendly everyone was.

I was very impressed with Little Shop Of Horrors. Loads of laughter, great voices, lots of fun. Stage set was very good too. Will Johnson stole the show for me, but all of the cast were exceptional. If you dont laugh and enjoy this play, see a doctor!

Saw Angels in America. Very emotionally intense performance and fine acting. The staff and actors, all very friendly. Great meet and greet after the performance.

Very nice decor and very friendly staff. I did not spend the night or eat there. I just came for the open house.

Need microphones for the musicals but other than that good production value

A great performance by a great cast! Really nice seating and concessions available as well (pretty cheap in all honesty-popcorn is only 3$ for unlimited refills. Compare that to your 8$ popcorn at the movie theater!)I hope to return soon. The establishment is lovely and so is the staff. Also a very pleasant community in the audience. It is mostly folks over 50, but if youre younger, dont let that deter you! I went with my family and had a great time :) plus the actors are normally a bit younger lol.Thanks for the show!

Everyone was friendly, every seat was great, the cast and show were spectacular....I loved it!!! Well worth the price of the ticket.

Great show with an intimate feeling. Impressed by the actors. The venue has a ton of local pride. Experience probably varies by show, but the place is probably consistently great for a relaxed experience of live theater.

Lakewood Playhouse offers a truly unique theater-going experience and deserves the support it gets from the community. Its small and intimate. The entertainment is unsurpassed in the Tacoma area.

I saw doubt here. Very nice play and true to character actors. A 90 min play, but not one minute of it was boring. Look forward to more.

Many years ago, I did a workshop, under Director John Olive. I was the only npn-actir, in the class. We performed, at the finish of the class. A few years later, my youngest child, Allison, performed, on the same stage. What fun.

Good acting

WARNING: I did not see there were no refunds when I bought my tickets to the Christmas Carol. Not able to go, see online that the show is sold out yet they will not refund my money. Guess I wont be buying any more tickets here.

You basically sit with the cast in this very intimate theater. An experience that you do not want to miss.

Dropped off some costumes I made for a play. Pretty excited to see them on the actors.

Good place to watch a place up close and personal. Seating is few, so get tickets early.

Ever play Ive been to has been fantabulous!

Just watched guys and dolls frist off the kids were pretty good in no way what i say is about them.The theater is so small that two of three of the seating sectons are on the stage. How the hell does blocking work?The sound was way off. Perhapse you may think about upgrading your system a bit. The s speakers from 1978 might need replaced.A mic or two on the actors would be good i supose i mean to say be more like Broadway.
