Nice size venue for the art competition! My first time there and I would highly reccomend it. Wish I had taken more photos while there.

Local theatre, been around over 50 years. Quality theater, at a fairly reasonable price. Has concessions, beer, wine and snacks. An ever changing art gallery that will keep you occupied. Seating gives good views of the stage, seats are reasonably comfortable

We went to see Shrek the musical at the Beck Center. Very nice place. About the size of a large movie theater. The show was good, the seats were comfortable. We had a good experience. My only complaint is that there arent any hand rails on the wall. I have a son with a disability and getting up and down the steps without have rails was difficult

Hair. Minimal set, enormous talent. The projections pulled focus from the talent on stage but the voices, choreography and staging were off the hook.

The Lakewood Beck Theater’s production of Shriek is a “GO SEE”! Took three children 9, 4 and 1 1/2 years old, and they sat through the entire 2 and 1/2 hours. The music, cast, stage was energenic. And what’s fun, is there’s adult humor in the production. Fun, professional and great as usual. Thank you, Beck!

So, I am giving it 5 stars for the performance, not the overall vibe. The actors, and shows, are tremendous and very entertaining. But, why is it necessary to serve alcohol at a youth theater show? Is that really the example we want to send to our kids? Seems a little ridiculous, and kind of disappointing. Also, can we not go an hour without looking at our phones? Thats what intermission is for. Its distracting, and more than a handful of people around us whipped out their phones during the performance. The kids work so hard, the least we can do it give them are full attention. Very rude and quite selfish. These were middle age adults that should know better, not kids, by the way. With all that said, The Beck Center rules and is a treasure to the area. My daughter and I have seen probably a dozen shows over the years and enjoyed every one. Highly recommended, and please support our local arts, on every level, so places like this will continue to thrive.

First visit. Saw a spirited performance of Hair by Baldwin Wallace students. Lots of talent in a big group of kids. Intimate setting. Acoustics arent great. But overall above average for a community theatre show.

Formerly Lakewood Little Theater... now Beck... brilliant performance of Peter Pan for the kids several years ago... my 4 year old grand daughter loved it... took theater classes there when I was a kid... saw Tom Hanks in Shakespeare Midsummer Nights Dream in the 70s... he was amazing!... grew up seeing all the plays there... there is a lobby gallery with exhibits of artists works... theater & art classes... great place for kids, adults, families... coffee shop on the premises... at least two theater stages... artwork also displayed in the lobby... season & individual tickets available... ask about auditions & performing in their productions... its a great experience... theater arts... located on Detroit Road at Webb... large convenient parking (charge for some events)

I’ve always had a good experience but today was probably the worst customer service I’ve experienced as a parent, and customer. The guy that checks your coat in really needs not to be working with the public let alone at a musical based on a children’s movie. My grandson said hi, excuse me more than once, this guy NEVER once stopped reading his book.A co-worker said the little boy is talking to you, his reply-I know. She said oh he’s reading his book. Really oh he’s very rude.

Super Saturday was an awesome way to spend the morning! We brought our six-month-old baby to be around other kids and it was packed!! Lots of dancing, instruments to see and hear, art making, and even instruments to play. I cannot wait to go back as she gets older. We stuck around to look at the exhibit, then got lunch across the street.Free activity for kids, yes please!

This is a wonderful place to see a variety of shows. We have seen several performances in their small black box theatre. I have not had the opportunity to see anything on their main stage yet. Beyond the performances, the Beck Center also supports many other types of the arts, including drawing classes.

Saw the final performance of Hair. Attempts to make it relevant in todays political scene were a bit ham handed. Performers were talented and musical, but the music itself was less inspiring than I thought it would be.

Because I like the music from Chicago so much, I invited a friend to join me in seeing your teen production and it truly exceeded my expectations. I wish it werent the last day of the run so positive reviews might prompt more people to see it. Especially loved the young man who played Amos and, of course, Roxy and Velma...and a thin male blonde dancer who was absolutely exceptional. Liked them so much, I waited after the show with their young friends to say thank you. For the first time this year, I became a Broadway Series subscriber at Playhouse Square, and I honestly think this shows quality was a match to any Ive seen this year. I smiled throughout the entire show, and theproduction and dancing were first rate, too. Thank you for a wonderful way to defrost on a snowyafternoon.
