Just saw a hilarious show, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, at the Lakewood Cultural Center. It was produced by Performance Now. What a fun show with an amazing cast! This is a fabulous venue to see any show. Not a bad seat in the place!
Decently sized auditorium and I went to see A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. The cast did a great job and the orchestra did an amazing job. I would recommend coming here for a play :-)
We went to see the Iluminar Aerial show Sleepy Hollow. It was great. But the center itself is really nice. Nice theater in a manageable size. Neat art exhibit. Easy to get tickets and easy to get to our seats.
Art exhibitions, crafts, theater/stage with great seating (attended plays and shows), free underground parking, coffee cart, have great meeting rooms (attended many meetings there). Helpful reception.
Was there for a concert by Slavik Soul Party! An amazing group Ive never heard of until they showed up in Lakewoods concert lineup. Lots of fun music in this smallish venue. In a couple of weeks well be seeing the Canadian Brass.
Nice smaller venue, with art work in lobby and second floor. Elevator straight to the lobby from parking garage. Wheelchair accessible. Lovely.
I took 3 boys ages 15 to 10 to see Miracle Man with Tomas Kubinek last night. We all loved it, hilarious. The boys said it was the best show theyve ever seen. He is crazy funny, so talented, and connects with the audience like hes known us forever.Dont miss this show -- theres nothing like it.
Wonderful, small theater venue. Generous and comfortable seating with easy access. Not too warm or too cool. Considering a subscription for next seasons productions. Love the free indoor parking option.
Oh my Gosh, this is a beautiful theatre! We just seen Ring of Fire, yes its about Johnny Cash! The company was amazing, such a wonderfully talented group of singers, instrumentalists, etc. My husband, who is a big Johnny Cash fan was not disappointed! We will be back!Theresa, Northglenn, CO
We love taking classes there and going to performances. This is the best venue outside Denver
Great place to see a show. Very nicely laid out and prices are good. Very pleasant staff.
Received help 12/17 around 2 pm by the kindest person ever! She was attentive, understanding, knowledgeable, and quick. I could not be happier with my customer service experience. I am so happy to send these tickets as a Christmas present. I know my family will be treated so well at the Lakewood Cultural Center.Merry Christmas and thank you!
Yesterday and today a Beatles experience, an excellent show. “If you close your eyes you’ll think you’re at a real Beatles concert”. If you like the Beatles you’ll love this show! The audience picks the play list. There was dancing and singing, great birthday night as they sang Today is your birthday:)
We performed here....a dance showcase. Floor was slippery in some spots and sticky in others. Lights glaring in our face made it hard to execute done if the choreography. I hear the audience loved the venue....the dancers not so much.
Excellent symphony music. Fun family entertainment.
Taking dance classes. The instructor is great, prices are reasonable.
We went to see A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at Lakewood Cultural Center last night. Id seen the movie, but not a stage production. To my surprise, this show was especially well done and great fun! Ive seldom seen such a perfectly cast local production outside of NYC. Forum is a show that requires extremely good timing in the delivery of lines. The humor could easily be lost if not precisely executed. And, because its such a campy, fast paced show, the body language of the actors is a key part of the show. This production company nails it on all levels. The lead character of Pseudolus is portrayed flawlessly (Josh Kwasniewski). The physical comedy and antics of the Proteans- three bumbling goofballs miraculously drafted as Roman soldiers, (Honor Nash-Putnam, Thomas Ogar, Aaron Szindler) keep the audience laughing in practically every scene of the show. There are a lot of songs in this show, and the cast is made up- mostly, of vocalists who deliver the songs skillfully as an integral part of the storytelling. A vocal standout shines in the form of Domina (Marcia Ragonetti).Watching Forum is a little like watching a three ring circus. Theres almost too much going on at once to take in. We may go a second night to see what we missed.Intermission at LCC is a treat. Theres a wider than usual variety of hot and cold drinks including wine and beer and hot toddies, baked treats, and more, which makes the evening just that much nicer. The LCC complex is well laid out for guest ease and comfort, and the theatre is beautiful. Its nicer, in fact, than most of the community theatres in the Denver area. Parking is close and easy, and there are a wide variety of nice restaurants nearby for a casual dinner before the show. This was our first visit to Lakewood Cultural Center, but it definitely wont be our last. Thanks, LCC, for a great night out in Denver!
I love it, l love the people, l love the exhibitions and I love the productions, on the side Alexis the barista at the Village Roaster Coffee Bar is also awesome
The show I saw was amazing, I would love to see a younger crowd in the audience, maybe more experimental theater?
Excellent facility housing various activities. The information counter is full of various brochures regarding the city and it is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly people. Parking facility is also wonderful. It is in the same complex as the City Hall which makes it that much more convenient.
My friends and I have been to Lakewood Cultural Center a few days ago. We saw a great show with talented actors. The seats are very comfortable and great for viewing the show. Prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend visiting this small venue!
Saw the Canadian Brass here and they were amazing!
Saw Forever Elvis. Cody Ray Slaughter did a great job and the band was great.
Wonderful shows, saw the Cashore marionnettes. Great show.
Nice building, friendly and helpful staff, diverse events and programs.
Check out their classes! I took dance for a while and it is the most affordable location Ive found so far.
Saw the Nutcracker with/for my mom, along with my sister, niece and her daughter, my nephews wife, and my daughter, as we have every year for 9 years. My mom loves it! I personally enjoy seeing the more upbeat, dance shows that come through occasionally. Unfortunately, these shows are usually at the Lkwd Cultural Ctr for only one performance, and by the time Im able to purchase tickets the show is sold out. Ive not had the opportunity to see a play here yet. Light snacks and drinks can be purchased at The Village Roaster in the lobby, while viewing art pieces on display. Theres underground parking, too.
Lovely venue. Great acoustics and well-designed so that every seat is good in the theatre. Art spaces are well-lit and easy to enjoy collections
Nice venue with lots of bells and whistles from a theatre professional’s POV.
Nice place to do some fun classes that dont cost and arm and a leg
They have the best shows we just saw crazy for you and that was awesome. Very entertaining the dancing was superb
Good acoustics and friendly staff.
Pretty sweet theater room for plays, musicals, and concerts.

They bring in great performances.
Kids dance classes here are wonderful. They even have a theater for their recitals.
Wonderful greeting, desk assistance with ticketing, and great little bistro
Attended the Jeffco Open Space Volunteer Awards ceremony, very nice. Auditorium is very well-suited for an event like this.
Cool place with lots of community activities
Its a nice facility.
This us one of my top 5 choices for Cultural Centers. Extremely clean. The Employees and Volunteers are 5 star helpful, polite and very mannered. The Art exhibit is WONDERFUL !!! THE Middle school Artists exceeded my expectations. The Totem Poles made out of toilet paper rolls are spectacular as are all the exhibits.Worth the entry fee of $7.00.We were here for a field trip for my youngest grandson. The Simple Machines show presented by Garry Krinsky was amazing and very instructive. His presentation was well recieved by children of all ages. He has audience participation. Q and A after performance. Wonderfully spectacular. At the young age of 60... He taught me how to juggle as he taught the WHOLE audience. Great family outing ....!!!!
Great shows! Beautiful venue
Small and quaint. Good parking.
Throughly enjoyed it. Staff was very helpful and performers were great. Ill be back.
Horrible kids classes. Rude, disrespectful to kids. Impossible to communicate with. Save your money and time. Go somewhere else.
Intimate, cozy gallery spaces, great concepts in administrative ideas...
The show Catapulte was great we really enjoyed it!
Great theater for small shows, Ive been to a few over the years. The art exhibits are always interesting to browse. Theres a coffee cart right inside the doors that is from the family owned Village Roaster store just over on Garrison. The coffee cart also sells alcohol during theater performances.
Attended a fascinating wildlife presentation. This is a great venue, with comfortable seating and plenty of restrooms.
The staff was so friendly and fun!! Great art display! And the snacks were pretty tasty
Very beautiful building, gorgeous performance hall and art exhibits
Really beautiful park. Preserved historic buildings a gift shop. Cool place. Good walking trails

Beautiful and traditional style theatre with performances from ballet to orchestra to touring acts. Great crew!
They do an amazing job with the summer concert series! I just wish it lasted longer into the summer.
Maria Schneiders Orchestra concert was our first time to Lakewood Cultural Center. Very nice. Easy parking in the parking garage.
Great summer camps for kids!
This place is really nifty. Outside they have a great botanical setup as well. Love waking through here.
Great venue for concerts, plays, musical groups. Excellent collection of class offerings. Covered parking below and nice exterior courtyard for coffee or lunch! Thank you Lakewood!!
Wonderful art exhibit
It is a fantastic venue to preform in!
Beautiful stage and performance space
Nice location with a cute theatre. Theres a convenient coffee shop and its close to quite a bit of shopping.
This is a wonderful performance venue. Very clean and nice
Do not like it. First confronted by sign describing how to act. Overall, Lakewood is a tax mongering self serving enterprise.
The theater here is small but very impressive, and a great venue for musicals! The building has a below-ground parking garage, so accessibility is easy.
Great venue
So many great programs, art and shows!
Nice theater, but when asked about the age appropriateness of the show the staff either didnt know, or....?? Our group has to walk out about 45 minutes in. That was an expensive mistake.
Excellent production My Way
Great plays and reasonable
Great setting for a live show!!Well go again
Small, but. Very nice center. How can you go wrong with centers such as this
Great intimate theatre, art on display and a plethora of classes.
My daughter takes dance here and has a wonderful teacher, Miss Maria.
What a great place that Lakewood has. They have a bunch of classes available from age 2 to 102. Pattery, dance, basket weaving ect. Also, this is the home to our Lakewood Orchestra! If you Visit for any reason be sure to see the rolling art installations throughout the building.
Covered parking at the location. Nice interior. Coffee bar on premises. Helpful staff. Elevator to first floor from parking level.
A great place to watch a concert due to the great acoustics and atmosphere. Definitely a great venue to attend.
So easy to park!!! Very nice place.
Fun and exciting
Beautiful place! Went to Man from Lamancha, wow! The acting was very professional, what a bargain for the ticket price and parking under theater means no elements to battle!
This place is awesome, there is so much for the whole family to do. Im so glad our community has this.
This place is expansive and has a beautiful theatre! Lots of great classes and art exhibits.
