We went on the Fourth of July. There was free admission to the museum where several artists contributed to the gallery with their work. We used Snapchat filters. We encourage you to go support the artists and their work. The Greeter at the museum said he had been there for several years I’m going to say at least 20, and he was very kind courteous open minded and fun to talk to.

Intriguing architecture of the building, but the real draw is the wonderful art gallery. Where else can you see Dali, Picasso for FREE (donations accepted, NOT EXPECTED)? Rotational exhibits, lots of spectacular local artists exhibit as well. Definitely a great stop on any afternoon, wonderful family activity.

A nice art space with great traveling exhibitions. The old city hall is spread over 3 stories and all are accessible by elevator so theres no problems accessing the different galleries. I think its a very well run space that hosts some very interesting artists as well as historical and educational exhibits as well. Im 56 and it gives me a quiet space to appreciate whatevers hanging on the walls this month. Best of all, its free!

This historic city hall building has a number of floors filled with various different styles of artwork on display. Its a cool spot. Also, the architecture of the building is very cool as well. It has a rare 4-sided manual clock.

We had read about the refurbishment of the city hall and were intrigued by its history. We enjoyed the JFK exhibit which was remarkable simply because many of the photos had been taken by what I presume were amateurs since the photographer was unknown. The gallery highlighting women who had served in Lake Charles homes was a great tribute to hardworking and faithful people. Its so easy in todays society to overlook the people who are support staff in whatever realm you work or resideLastly our visit was memorable because the woman who greeted us was warm, friendly, and very professional.Wonderful way to spend a winter afternoon at no cost.

Free admission and a very interesting place to check out. Its 3 levels but each area isnt that big so you wont be overwhelmed by it. A lot of great information about local history and the people who lived it. Great place to check out when in the area and want to escape the heat for a bit.

The Christmas village display, set in the 1950s, was so much fun to see. Exhibit on the various headgarb worn by different cultures was interesting and educational. Each piece was intricately designed and created. Museum was free and the building itself is an architectural treasure.
