We went to a try me day at the store, and its great. A great way to do a craft with your kids and we love that its free, but since it was our first time going, I didnt know where it was being held. There were NO signs, and no arrows to pin people in the right direction and there were no employees on the floor to assist. We had to go wait in line to ask the cashiers and they didnt even fully understand what we were looking for or that the store was offering this.Better communication between employees & the store needs to inform employees & encourage them to be knowledgeable of what is going on.The idea of this is GREAT!! & The lady who helped and was in charge of the crafts was great! Sweet & kind with the kids, talkative, and great creative ideas!The stores need signs outside and better advertisement to inform parents. Also sending flyers to local schools of a calendar of events could help spread information.

Place is beautiful and carries good quality items; expensive though.

The best arts and crafts store!! The store is very organized into specific sections making it easy to find what your looking for. I found things I never new even existed!! So many things to make any crafting project easy and turn out beautifully!!

Second best craft store in town! It stays open later and is open on Sundays, but the selection is definitely at least half of what Hobby Lobby offers. I find a combination of both stores the most effective.

As far as craft stores go in Lake Charles this one is my favorite. The variety is great though a little smaller than the other popular chain stores. The store is always neat and has great sales. The Michaels app is awesome and always offers a great 40 percent off coupon. Where they really shine as opposed to others in the area is their service. The staff has always gone above and beyond whenever Ive had a question or am in need of a location of a product. For that reason and their always friendly and polite attitudes they will always keep me as a loyal customer. Hobby Lobby employees on the other hand seem to always be rude and cant wait to end any interaction with a customer. Michaels is A-1 in my book!

On this visit, the store seemed a bit disorganized, perhaps due to the fact that it looked like they were starting to stock Christmas (mid-October). Staff was a little light, and appeared overworked, and it was starting to show in attitude. They were not rude, you could just tell they were just trying to hurry things along.They did have a good selection in a wide variety of crafting supplies, and prices seemed reasonable.

I was only interested in shopping the sale. I found all but one of the items I was looking for in a very short time. The clerk was very friendly and even helped me by pointing out a coupon I had missed. Good job!!

So many items on sale this week. They are stocking shelves right now with new product. Everyone was very friendly.

Had everything I was looking for. They just need more cashiers working in the front. The cashier was very nice though.

This is my go to place when needing my crafting supplies. The staff are friendly and the store is normally clean and organized the bathrooms are old and out dated but are usually always clean. If you are into beading (like me) THIS location is not very good at keeping beads in stock they do have GREAT sales and have good coupons just make sure you keep an eye on the dates of when the coupon and sale times start and end and read the fine print before heading out the door for your shopping. The coupons do NOT work with Cricut products and a few more brands to make sure to look or call before heading out. This location offers classes so make sure you ask for an event calendar at checkout.

I absolutely love my Michaels Craft store. I am always able to find exactly what I am looking for. I find most prices are reasonable. I have found some great buys when shopping for something else.I have also used their on-line site, but again no complaints.

I havent been in the store in some time and had gone in for thread for cross-stitching. They have all the tread available but I noticed the cross stitching section have dwindled down to almost nothing. And its in the same area but rearranged. The thread started ringing up the wrong price. I had to stop the cashier and she had to manually put them in.

Get the Michaels app it has the best coupons & all you have to do is have the cashier scan the coupon on your phone. Yesterday I had coupons for 50% off any item in the store & a 25% off your entire purchase! Stacking the coupons took almost $20 off my totsl!!!I always ask a lot of questions & the employees are very helpful and friendly & seem to be knowledgable.
