I love this very locals paddling and canoe beach! Shade and sunny areas, rocky and sandy beach areas, great for snorkeling and has awesome life guards too. Wonderful facilities/picnic tables/bathrooms/showers...nice sidewalk/concrete path/boardwalk all through it. Grassy well kept lawns too. Truly one of my favorites!

This was an excellent little beach just outside the tourist spots. My son and I were on a quest to swim with the sea turtles (or to at least see one) and we accomplished that here. They swam all around us as we watched. The bathrooms have the most wicked collection of big spiders on gigantic webs that Ive ever seen. The whole roof is covered like something out of a horro movie. Its either really awesome or realy scary depending on your style. We were so surprised that we totally forgot to take a picture of said unbelievableness.

The county workers are not obeying governor David Iges order to open and maintain facilities in the state.County officials are involved in mass social caste discrimination against low-income and elderly people without places to live, specifically Americans not born in the state and people of light skin tones, not just caucasian.Extreme prejudice is overlooked in favor of nepotism and hate crimes occur daily from county and state officials daily, directly in violation of federal mandates including the american disability act.

Yet another of our favorite beaches in Maui. Parking is very close to the beach, sand is nice and the rocks and corals nearby often bring turtles, making this a nice place to snorkel as well. Last time we were there we swam with 6-7 turtles at the same time. Amazing experience.

Shhh just between you and me this is the spot that should be called turtle town !i want to call this a safe/entry level beach, with high probability of seeing turtlestheres a lifeguards, and restrooms and shower. The beach is more flat, so waves are not as agressive as some other beaches. which makes it great for younger kids and the elderly.... kids and grandma voted this the best beach, because of the easy to see turtles(even without getting in the water), and easy entry/exit to the water. i liked the fact theres Plenty of parking spaceturtles where there the whole 3 weeks we was there over xmas, and last summer they where there as well, so i guess they like to hang at this beachi love to snorkel, and have always seen turtle when going to this beach, remember even though these creatures are cool and laid back, dont touch them and if your in their way they might nip you. theres wasnt many fish to look at, and i have been swimming north and south to see if it improved and theres not much to look at, as theres few coral. even 3-400 yards out theres not much to see....water was generally crystal clear, and current is mild...but that can all change...as always if you dont like the conditions of one beach, just drive 10-20 minutes up or down the coast line and the conditions can be completely changed

Good swimming, paddling and beach access. Snorkeling is Ok around the rocks on the south end. There is a lot of tide and current movement in the water which stirs up the sand and hides the turtle. It can be a lot of fun playing in the surf.

We were inundated by turtles eating their lunch. Pretty spectacular surprise. Watch out in bare feet near the top of the beach, there are trees that drop small branches that have some very serious thorns that require minor surgery. The life guards are prepared for the turtles with warnings to leave them alone, and they keep tweezers handy for anybody who finds the thorns.
