My family and I, visited Surge on yesterday (7-11-20) and we all were overly pleased with our experience there. The staff was extremely friendly, professional as well as polite and they made sure we were accommodated throughout our visit there. The bartender even came to my table to ensure that my drink was properly made to my taste. One MAIN focus point that I noticed, was that the staff continuously sanitized the entire Surge area, from the tables, floors, bar area, bowling shoes, bowling balls and every surface that someone came in contact with. That was a major plus for me. We definitely will be returning soon!!! The atmosphere at the bar area was awesome for the adults to entertain while the kids play in their area. I will give Surge 5 stars and I must say that the food and drinks was outstanding, especially the meat lovers pizza and my lemon drop martini was delicious!!! Great place to enjoy, have fun, and relax...love it!!
I wish there was an age group for certain parts of the trampoline areas. Adults like to be BIG KIDS, too! (But we dont want any youngsters to get hurt as they jump back and forth in the same area with you, most of the times behind you without the knowledge of such happening)I did enjoy my time here. It is easy to spend a few hours in an enjoyable setting.
Been here before COVID and it was great. Today, it was the worst. Service in the restaurant was slow. Food took forever. One waiter. Went to get tickets for the jump, only one person working he counter. Took forever. Didn’t want to wait anymore so I left. Needed to get a drink and no one was at the counter. The workers in play area was nice but if you’re gonna open, have more staff on hand. They were way under staffed for the amount of people there. And this is me writing a review after multiple failed attempts of someone helping and waiting forever.
The activities were awesome. The kids had a great time. A little pricy though. The womens bathroom was discusting! 2 of the doors to the stalls were locked from the inside and the toilets were full of urine and tissue. 2 of the other toilets had feces on them and another was full of tissue. The floors were dirty also. Not enough workers in the entrance to collect and to redeem tickets. There were lines.
We made the trip from Shreveport, LA to visit Marucci Clubhouse. It was well worth the drive. After hitting the cages and grabbing some bats to take home, we let the kids hit the games. They had a good time. Prices are extremely reasonable. Jump zone is good size. Free games such as cornhole and washers are also available. Bowling area looks good as well. Plenty of televisions. Open seating is not as easily found, but it is available in a few areas. We will definitely make another trip down just to experience Surge. We are looking forward to the Northwest Louisiana location even more now!
2 hr wait for food and a server who couldnt be found. When the food finally did arrive it was cold. I will say that the flavor of the food was good but that was the only positive point of this visit.
With covid-19 still on the loose and a well reviewed business that has the mission of ensuring grrat safe fun for families, youd expect them to enforce the state wide mask mandate that they advertise and claim to enforce on their front door. Not to mention the rigorous process of attempting to buy jump time. Overall my first impression and experience as a whole was pittiful and doubt I will be coming back.
Been here a couple times. Great food usually but this time jalepeno poppers were burnt and waitress was meh. They also shut everything down 30 mins early. Arcade is fun havent tried other activities, but plan to. I really like this place but couldnt five star this trip maybe next time.
The place is good place if you just want to jump and play some games the price are high but its kinda worth it
Great place to go if youre over 21, and have kids. A good place to let them run around while you drink. I recommend teenagers around 16-20 avoid going they have a few different forms of gambling arcade games. But youd be better off more often than not saving your money and playing video games at home. There is a trampoline park aspect that was filled with lots of small children. Which was a con for me. As I did want to cause any children to get hurt while jumping. Overall disappointed on my first visit.
We were not aware of how the waivers we had to sign before worked. We went with a group to celebrate someone’s birthday. We were also not aware of the adult policy, we all signed the waivers online but apparently it was wrong. Our other friends were let in by staff after paying without an adult as well as a group of young boys in front of us, but when it was our turn they said that the governer had enforced a law that didn’t allow us to go in. We were very confused and as we should we told them about the other young people let in without an adult- they even came up to them as well. The lady i’m guessing was the manager acted very rude towards us. We waited for a long time for our friends mother to show up. Overall masks weren’t enforced in areas other than eating. Many of them didn’t even eat at all. I would not want to go there again.
A great family outing filled with enjoyment and entertainment. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The price is a lot cheaper compared to Skyzone.
The place is clean. The staff in the front could use some work but the rest was amazing even with kids! They play far with kids as well! Food was really good seasoned just right. Prices are decent as well. We will be going back during football season to enjoy!
I hate to give it a 3 because the park is great and we enjoyed ourselves. The rating is a 3 because of customer service! I had a large party of teenagers celebrating my daughters 13 th birthday. I was at the bar ordering food and drinks whenever the gm came up asking “who kids these is”? She stated quit a few times I’m the gm and we have had complaints on them we apologized and I talked with my kids. She continued to stay up at the bar and say my kids weren’t wearing masks the bartender even told her yes they were. Two other adults were with me and even agreed how rude and unprofessional she was coming to the bar and talking to us like that especially even after we fixed it.Oh I forgot about her threatening that we will have to leave if they have the mask off again. I spent a good amount of $ there to be treated so rudely.
Horrible. Trash cans over flowing. Under staffed like crazy. Gatti land was way better. Food serve at the restaurant sucked. Forgot drinks food and service time was very slow. Went to cash in tickets. Stood in line 25 minutes not behind anyone just no one to service us. Gave away 2100 point I had left cause I will never go back. Boo to surge and Drew for a sorry place of entertainment. Once they get your money they could careless. Jump area over ran zipline is more like a clothes line. Dont go ever you have been warned.
We entered and waited an hour in line. Once we got to the front she told we can enter because we were minors. She let others enter but I believe because we are not white, she stopped us. She previously let other friends of ours in. (They were white). While waiting in line again, she tried to secretly take pictures of us. Once an adult arrived, a worker said the waivers were not working. So she called the white lady, and she yelled at us to move if we didn’t have a waiver, but once she saw the adult she explained that the wavier don’t work sometimes and showed her how to do it. In conclusion, the customer service were rude and disrespectful. The jumping experience isn’t worth it. There was throw up on the trampoline.
So online I wanted to book a trampoline party and it only gave me the option for bowling..I know I couldnt get my $100 refunded but I called them to switch it over and do a trampoline party..They couldnt do that nor make an exception to cancel so I can book the type of party my son actually wanted. they can keep the $100 and im going book a party for my son at skyzone..Terrible customer service..Even my 10 year old didnt understand why they wouldnt do anything to assist the customer....Poor Experience and I will never bring my kids there ever again️
We walked in and waited 30 minutes to get to the front counter to be rudely yelled at for being minors. She previously let others in because they were white. She then took pictures of our hispanic friend group. Once, an adult arrived, she yelled at us again because the waviers were not work on their end. After finally getting in, we were greeted to throw up on the trampoline and very limited activity. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else!
Good at alot of things but not great at much. The food was excellent, the trampoline park area and the arcade area arent very much and the bowling is really nice. Not 100%what I was hoping for when I heard this place was coming. Was expecting more of a Dave & Busters style place which they are not quite on that level.
Arcade games are extremely overpriced. 13 or more credits for every game. I visited Dave n Busters and the games are like half of that 8 was the max. I played on 20 dollars of credit for over an hour. At surge that 20 was gone in about 25 minutes. I
This place has some potential, but it wont be around long if the customer service doesnt improve. Our waitress was nice, but it took awhile to get someone to serve on us. Some of the employees didnt seem to know much, or at least didnt care to know. We asked one of the buss boys how we go about ordering food, and his best answer was I guess thats how it goes without any attempts to help or at least guide us in the right direction. None of the employees smiled much, and a couple of the young guys working here nearly brushed shoulders with me in passing. The kid at the toy counter was less than enthused to be there and you almost had to force him to pay any attention to you at all. We spent over 200 bucks in this place, at a minimum I would expect a little better customer service. Maybe Drew should do undercover boss here, and he can see for himself. I can tell you the people who would actually be willing to come here and spend their hard earned money will be a one and done unless something is done about the customer service. I hope to see this improve because sadly we have seen this story play out before at Gatti Town. I am only writing this review because I want to see this place stay around, as this is something Lafayette needs. Better to be honest while its still a work in progress than to say I told you so after the fact.
I have to agree with the other reviews about the quality of service that you are getting. Just like one of the other reviews about how the person needed to sit at the bar to get somebody to wait on them, the same thing happened to me. I can understand that the staff may think some people is just in that area to watch the game. However, they should at least acknowledge you and ask whether or not they can help you with anything. Like the other review mentioned, I can confirm there were staff just standing around and even if you keep looking at them to try to get their attention, they just ignore you. With that being said, it is a promising place and a good place to hangout for a few hours. I would have been able to enjoy it more if I wasnt waiting so long to get food. Thought it was going to be a bit bigger than it was, but its not bad for Lafayette. The arcade section definitely could use some more games to choose from though to make it more like a Dave and Busters. Good concept and poor execution. I agree with the comment about how this business will not last long if this continues. Looking forward to trying bowling sometime.
We had a birthday party for 11-year Road was having fun and with the facemasks ordinance in order and for the most of the time we were wearing our mask and they called the cops on us told us to leave. And messed up the little mans birthday thanks .
It may be because its in its infancy, but Surge seemed abnormally calm and quiet for a Saturday night. When I hear a name like Surge, it makes me expect a certain energy. While it absolutely has the makings of an amazing attraction, it just hasnt quite reached the exciting energy level of other similar establishments. Overall, though, its a great place with high quality attractions, food, and drinks. Definitely a great place to bring the family!
First time at 6pm on 12/26/19. We enjoyed ourselves ages 2 to 71. VIP bowling. Good clean fun, affordable for a group, food was good. Get in and get started, the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars, under staffed, we did get compensated for that. Hire more people, still a Nice place, we will be back. Grandchildren loved it.
Amazing experience for the entire family! The only thing I have to say is, it is pretty pricey. However, it really is worth your time and money if you have it! Definitely will be going back.
Took our 12 yr old boys on Valentines night. The boys loved it- said the staff were fun and nice at the jump area. They didn’t enjoy the bowling- nobody waited in them. Our adult experience was less than stellar. Our waitress-Shelby tried her best. She apologized for how slow things were coming out- said staff had”walked out in the middle of their shift”. Our chips/salsa took forever and were a greasy mess-had to return the chips. The pizza for the boys was also a grease-bomb. My order cane out wrong it was corrected. They over cooked my tuna- - that was a big disappointment! The bartender was also doing his best- but drink also didn’t come out very promptly. No napkins or waters were offered for our table. And the squeaking zip line- nerve rattling! C’mon Drew!!
We made the trip from Shreveport, LA to visit my old friends from high school. Never try the Surge at this city. First, price is reasonable. Second, Game zones are big enough and clean. Our kids have a good time there. Will go again when we have a next trip in this city.
Great food and great service.Need more adult games, bathrooms need attention. All in all, a great place. Ill be back.Would like to see an adult only time slot. I.E. All ages until 8 pm, 21 and over 8 pm to close.
My wife and I took our boys to jump . So we decided to sit at Bar and have a few drinks and something to eat . We sat ourselves and we literally had to wait 30 minutes before someone would help us, an the crazy part about it is I had to ask a waitress to help us. I do understand it’s a new location and it busy but you don’t realize how first impression means EVERYTHING . I’m in retail an I know how important it is for someone just to acknowledge you. I do hope you guys make this right for me . I look forward to hearing from you in the near future
It was our first time and we really enjoyed ourselves very nice workers also
We had a wonderful time. All of the games worked and it was pretty clean. We would have given five stars if the staff was more helpful. This was our first trip and we were unfamiliar with the process. You must lead all conversions with the staff to get any information. We made a reservation for the virtual reality in person and were given a two hour wait time. After two hours we were told that all online reservations take priority and even the reservations made online AFTER our in person reservation would kick us down the list. We were given an additional 3 hour wait time contingent on no more online reservations being made which would take priority . I don’t understand how that makes sense. Why would you replace our reservation because someone reserved online AFTER us? We are already there and already had a reservation. This is a HUGE flaw! Ultimately we asked for a manager. The woman who we worked with us before this lied to our face and the manager. The manager did make it up to us by giving our child some extra jump time and then we had to reserve online for the reservation to be honored. This is odd to me because we only waited an hour after reserving online compared to the three plus hours contingent on no more online reservations. Why didn’t anyone tell us this before waiting for two hours? PLEASE TRAIN THE STAFF BETTER. OUR EXPERIENCE WAS ALMOST RUINED AFTER DRIVING TWO HOURS TO GET HERE DUE TO Incompetent staff.
Great place to bring the kids to run wild and also accommodating to the parents with simulators, tail gate area and bar! Being the place is new we could see they are having staffing issues which makes the service suffer. The bartenders don’t know their recipes, looking up the ingredients causing slow service and they don’t know how to multi-task by taking several orders at a time. Jigger pours are great for product control but they are not trained to move quickly using the jigger. The food is good and the place is priced decently ($27 for 3 hour jump)! Overall we will be back.. gotta get these kids out our hair somehow!
Unecessarily expensive and not very organized. The first time I went was a horrible experience. The 2nd time was a little better. It has potential but if your only going to bowl or jump you are better off going to a bowling alley or jump place and save your money.
It was fun but everything was so expensive! And need more jumping sections for little ones that the bigger ones cant come in! Food was pretty good! Nachos and crawfish rolls and drinks! The kids had a great time though!
This is an amazing addition to the Lafayette area for family fun. I did feel it was under staffed. If you pay ahead it doesnt benefit you, we still had to stand in line for 20 mins to get their socks and a wrist band to so the trampoline park. There are 3 registers but only 2 of them had employees. Their should be some sort of kiosk for prepaid to get socks and wrist bands to help with the flow. Concessions are pricey as like going to the movies.
We had a blast..highly recommend
Give it a 5 star bc my children loved it. Lots of stuff to do. Great food for an entertainment center. Wayyyyyy too many people.
To start, my family and I were looking forward to going to this place and with Drew Brees name behind it we thought that would stand for quality. It was anything but when it came to service. We paid for one hour of bowling and when we got to our lane the table was dirty and had drinks on it from the last people that were there. It took 25 minutes for our waitress to come take our order so we were almost half way done with our bowling time without anyone checking on us. I had to ask another wait staff to clean our table because she also failed to do that. They were not busy and most of the time there were at least seven wait staff just standing around. At the end of our game my wife almost got done drinking her beer and noticed there was a glob of who knows what on the bottom of her beer glass. Needless to say we opted out of any more drinks or food for the night. To sum it up the facility was great and looked like a ton of fun but the customer service is lacking in entirety. Because of the negligence and inability to take care of us we were unable to enjoy the place and as of now there is no reason we would ever go back.
I wanted to purchase a $100 gift card for a family. I was told that I had to purchase gift cards for each activity separately. What if 1 kid prefers trampoline and the other prefers the arcade? The whole point of a gift card is for the family to decide what they would prefer to do with the funds provided. I was very disappointed.
Great place, This was our 1st time and the cashier/party Hostess at the front Desk Kamryn, was very helpful, Pleasant and informative. She gave great Customer service and answered any questions..she even checked on us throughout the visit to make sure everything great. My family Really Enjoyed and will be going back!!!!
Place was not very clean. Could not get anyone to wait on us for food. Almost an hour with no waiter. Went to bar to ask for a waiter and no one showed. Other tables around us experiencing same thing. Manager did nothing but make excuses. Girl waiting on us at front desk was obviously not well trained.Horrible experience. Went there with 4 grandchildren and they all said they preferred sky zone. Gave them money to spend on arcade games so Surge got theirs while we got screwed.Never again.
Amazing place for you and the kids. Friendly staff, great food, security on premises (excellence). Will visit again soon and tell my friends and Co workers as well.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. Wish i could rate below 1. I read other reviews having the same complaints. The owner even said we will work on fixing this, but 3 weeks later the problem with the workers is still not fixed. My family was excited to try out this new place. We were extremely disappointed. There is nothing worse than rude workers. I think my family will stick to other places, don’t think we will be back anytime soon.
Not the worst experience but had pretty poor customer service. Games are pretty okay. Not the cleanest place but has a cool concept. Not worth the money at all in my opinion.
Terrible company! Here is why. Charged employee for management making a mistake, then suspended the employee for being upset. Would not recommend, even management is a joke. Will be contacting Human Resources because an employee was charged $50 for manager making change and loosing money.
I would definitely give it five stars if the bar would be in better standings. We had to wait over an hour for one drink the bar and food are the heart of the business have got to get that under control and up to par also it cost zero two smile every once in awhile and be friendly
Great experience for kids and adults.
Great place to bring family and friends! Pretty pricey but definitely get your moneys worth.
Great place for family entertainment
Great place for family we needed this in Lafayette
Really fun for all ages! Went with my family and had a blast! Not to hard on the wallet, although food is a bit pricey. Bowling, rock climbing, ninja course, VR, and a ninja course. There is also a bar of some kind in the back.
I just left Surge and had to leave right away because I was told i was not welcomed by another guest. The guest name is KIONDA ANTOINE and she started a big commotion and she tried to hit me with my 1 year old son in my hands. I thought Surge is a public place and was looking forward to the excitement but I cant bring my kids back to an establishment where me and my kids are not safe. Very Ghetto.
They fail to tell you that they let the workers who watch over the trampolines leave when they are slow. We got there around 7pm and purposely did other activities so that the trampolines would be less crowded when we went. We went to get wristbands around 9:20 pm in hopes to get 9:30 to 10:30. The ladies at the front desk told us that the manager cut the people who supervised the trampolines because they were too slow. Offered us jump time until 9:30 (so 10 mins) but we would have to pay for a whole hour. Ridiculous. Im not sure of their policies but one of the other workers could have watched over us so we could jump. Not going back.
Nice atmosphere and fun for kids n adults
The staff that waited the tables for Superbowl Was Awesome...This place has improved My 6th time Had some of my church members and my family from Houston...We Enjoyed!
Crawfish eggrolls are the bomb!!!
Horrible service when busy and gave us the run around and wouldn’t let us jump
Great place everyone was nice and welcoming I got asked if I needed help with anything multiple times they were very helpful and youll see me back there again thanks for the lovely time
Very clean, fun and organized. Love how the tickets go on the cards instead of paper tickets
Its okay but they dont follow the one prison a square and they just let them do what ever when they have rule set up to keep people from getting hurt so they need to fix how hard they influence there rules
Not enough servers. It took half an hour to order food. Besides for that, it was a really nice and fun place.
Has a play area for my nefew, the place is well kept, and the staff are nice, great place for a round or two of bowling as well.
Its is awesome we will be back soon
Atmosphere was Great and The Kids Enjoyed themselves. Definitely Will Go Back
Omg!!!!!! This place is awesome is has entertainment for all ages! The bathrooms, tables, and floors all very clean!! I recommend this place for family hangouts, birthday parties, and just bringing a friend!!!# Go to Surge# AMAZING
It’s so much fun a little bit pricey but soooo much fun Me and my friend went it’s awesome!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOW. What an amazing place! KIDS absolutely loved it! THis is like a better Dave & Busters! Will be back this weekend!
Went to Surge the second weekend open and service was TERRIBLE. Bartenders were slow and bar area was filled with dirty glasses. Service was soooo slow people were leaving. It took 40 minutes to find someone to take our order. Food was aweful and it took a long time to bring food. Drinks were not prepared correctly. Ask a manager for our tab because we were tired of waiting for the server. He found our server and told her we were ready for our ticket. She looked at him and continued to count her tips and talk to a fellow coworker. At this rate the place will not be open long. Management was just as carefree as workers. My husband told me to leave the tab since they werent eager to take our money but I was very persistent and patient to get the ticket and pay the tab. It took so we long we didnt have time to bowl and we had been there since 9. May I add the place was not that busy. Guess we will be sticking to Kart Ranch.
The activities were awesome, however after we ate at the resturant inside it was awful service was not only slow but terrible as well took over an hour and a half to get our food and when we did receive it it was not fresh also the employees were more concerned watching the game than serving us also noone could locate a manager .
Great concept. The hole play/jump area was very nice but Game selection okay but would be nice if there were more video games. Also the real disappointment was the service staff. They forgot several drinks from the bar while bowling. The there lane breakdowns and auto bumpers didnt work. Management didnt engage to apologize or offer us anything. I guess growing pains but after sending well over $220 dollars, well would have expected better. I dont live local so my perspective is that of a visitor. Drew could do better.
Nice facility!! A bit pricey but not too bad. I ha e one complaint and that is the womens restroom is terrrrrible!! For just opening up its disgusting. 2 toilets are out of order 1 doesnt have a latch on the door and the toilet seat is broke off. Lastly, their card machine is broken so I couldnt purchase food or drinks .
Wow! What an amazing place! Fantastic Service. My Waiter went beyond the extra mile!!!
Had lots of fun
Great place for family fun or a date night!! Cant wait to come again!!
Awesome and fun just a bit pricey but other than that it was great
The food is great! There is a lot to do too! The staffing and service is just horrible and everyone looks lost. The arcade is extremely small and the games cost way too much. Then one game didnt work and it took my bfs money along with several others so I told the staff they need to put an out of order sign. They didnt reimburse anyone nor do anything about the broken machine. When we went to the restraunt is when it got really bad. Long story short - We saw our waitress literally 3 times for the 2 hours we were there constantly waiting! Pretty much had to beg for someone to help us & was shorted change. Here is the long story - We sat ourselves and after about 15 minutes we finally got ahold of a staff member to ask if we ordered from the table or at the bar. She said she would get us some menus and someone would be right with us to take our order. About another 15 goes by and someone came to take our order for drinks. Another 15 goes by we finally get the watered down drinks(my sisters bloody mary was almost clear) and order food. Another 15 minutes (not too bad of a wait for the food) we finally got our food. After 20 minutes of no one checking on us & our waitress passing us up numerous times with us trying to flag her down to order more drinks we finally asked another staff member. She said okay to our drinks but we never got any drinks after another 20 minute wait. We finally got the attention of our waiter and ordered the drinks and my sister finally got her bloody mary fixed from when we first ordered it and got it back. We also asked for our check at that time. That took another 15 minutes! When we got the check the Bills were all wrong (we stated from the beginning me and my sister were seperate) but we just paid it how it was with debit card and my sister asked for change for a $20 in change so she could pay us back. The girl comes back and states I only had $19 in change hope thats okay my sister asked of she took the other $1 off her bill. The girl lied, said yes and walked away. Its just a dollar but what the actual hell...who does that! You dont short someone change. Even a dollar! Especially when everything else was so messed up and she barely came by our table! Id love to eat there again bc I thought the food was delicious but the staffing and service was horrible.
SLOW service and unknowledgeable. Terrible management. Tried to be understanding as they had just opened but almost three weeks later, I still haven’t received a refund I am owed due to being overcharged. Had to wait for a manager for 30 minutes at the place. (Cutting into our jump time.) Called management several times since to be promised a call back and not once has anyone reached out. Was supposed to be refunded the full amount for the trouble (almost $100). Thats a lot of money to be out of. I can’t find anyway to contact corporate or any other contact than locally.
Kids had a blast while I sat at teh bar to watch the game on sunday! About time that Lafayette got something like this!
Epic gaming. Really epic gaming. Keanu chungus lol r/funny comp YLYL big chungus oh na na yelp review.Drew Brees deserves a Louisiana parish in his name. Louisianas overall crime rate, at 4,037.5, ranked fourth among U.S. states in 2012. Among the ten largest cities in Louisiana, the town of Alexandria had the highest crime rate at 9,174.6 crimes per 100,000 people.
Awesome Entertainment for the whole family. Bowling was fun and service was great!
Great for kids of all ages and also adults. Full bar, bowling, and plenty TVs to watch sports.
Place is nice but the price ing on the arcades is pricey my daughter we got 40 bucks to play in 10min of play it was gone with very few tickets back, nice jumpin aera and action going on for older crowd, overall nice
Food is very good and lots of entertainment for the family
Not bad. Arcade is lacking and they charge you to get an arcade card. Jump area has some cool stuff.
Enjoy the day with the family. Food was good service was good and a good selection of entertainment.
GREAT Place!!! I think the adults enjoyed it more then the kids! lol
Fun and so much to do! Lots of places to relax while the kiddos play.
My family and I went for the first time last evening. We currently live in West Monroe, LA (currently building a surge). We are in for the holidays, this place is AMAZING, to say the least. The arcade games are avg priced, the prizes that the kids can win aren’t ‘junk’ like other places. They have adult items to do while the kids do their own things. From the arcade, to bowling, cornhole, virtual football and baseball, to a playground for the little ones, and of course the trampolines to jump, play dodgeball, spar with another, dunk contest and even the obstacle course.I haven’t had the food yet but it smelled and looked amazing. Also you can just sit and enjoy a game on the MANY tv screens throughout the facility. Also for the baseball fans there is a nice sized baseball shop to buy different items. To look back and remember this being a grocery store that my parents and I went religiously is crazy!Great job Drew and thanks for bringing something so fun that is desperately needed in my hometown!
Great place but I do think the bar could use stronger drinks
I had greater expectations for Surge Entertainment Center by Drew Brees. Im very disappointed overall with my experiences. Ive visited there on 3 occasions. Opening weekend, I toured the facility and tried out the restaurant (Im a food connoisseur/critic) with my son and nephew. Second trip I went back to buy gift cards for the grandkids for Christmas. Third trip I brought my daughter to check out the facility & to eat. The food was pretty good, (although pricey for the portion sizes received) but the service was horrible. Waitstaff with bad attitudes, long wait times to receive food, missing food and waitstaff slow to return to table). Highlights of visits was definitely one employee who stood out. On the 1st & 2nd visits I had the pleasure of meeting an exceptional young lady named Kamryn. She was working at the front desk (plus I noticed her hosting a party). She was very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. She answered all of my questions (and I had a lot) about the services offered, (Maurrci as well) redemption, the kiosk, jump, bowling, arcades, concessions, gift cards, etc. She was very patient, had a great attitude and a beautiful smile. Which is more than I can say for a lot of the other employees, including the Mgmt staff. Having owned an Entertainment business as well as having 30+ yrs in retail and in Mgmt I am experienced in whats essential in running a successful business. Having a great staff who provide excellent customer service is crucial! Sorry Surge, youve fallen short.@ Drew... Thanks for bringing a potentially great experience for the entire family to Acadiana. FYI... because your name IS associated with Surge, it will be held to higher standards as Im sure you know. Mediocrity wont do. I know you are busy getting your Game Plan together to win us another Superbowl Championship, but you also need to be very cognizant of your Brand and what your name is associated with.I would be an excellent Mystery Shopper and would be more than happy to assist you in minimalzing any negativity with your Brand due to incompetent employees & deficient service. You are Iconic and anything associated with you should be as well. That being said, Surge definitely needs to get their Game Plan together!!
Lots of fun. No atm so bring cash
Had lots of fun with the fam here but costs a fortune
Love it!!!!! Great food, great service, and kids loved it!
We had a great time. My only complaint is the god awful squeak from I think the zip lines
They need lockers for your belongings, workers there seem like they hate working there. Compared to other arcades you dont get many tickets for the games you play. Its an ok place riding the back of Drew Brees.
We decided to give this place a go for date night and was very disappointed. The first 3 games we played broke. We ask for assistant and waited some time, then finally when it was fix we didnt get reimburse for the points that was spent. Instead the tech guy swiped his card. We loaded our play card with 50$ which is equal to 500 points. Most of the games there is 12 to 30 points. Which is very high for arcade games. The prices for the other activites was higher then other places too and not worth the wait and services. Was very disappointed was hoping this would be our go to place for the family!Edit: I also forgot to mention that when we went to redeem our points for prize, their prize area was close down due to computer problem. We was ask to come back another day to redeem our points. I would think surge would have a manual way to redeem points. Calculator maybe..
