Easy shore access and multiple locations for fishing and swimming. Limited parking is the only downside to this otherwise great local spot for a day out in nature!

Some short wooded trails lead to beautiful Hicks Lake with a spectacular view of Mt Rainier. Enjoyed walking my dog and sitting by the water taking in the view. Only downside is no restroom and a bit noisy on a beautiful Sunday afternoon but still able to find some solitude.

Beautiful, we are moving close by and were investigating the area.....we found the boat launch and the lake trail that leads down to the park tables that look overthe water.its not as pretty a view as st the boat launch but it does have its beauty. My husband and I are disabled so we only walked so far.....so I dont know how far the trail actually went but people were carrying kayaks with them down the trail so there must have been a place to launch small rafts canoes and kayaks at the waters edge. Ill bet its much prettier at the waters edge than where we stopped at but our poor legs just wouldnt carry us any further.

This was the perfect location for a a hot day floating on the lake. The lake bottom around this area is nice soft sand and the beach is fairly clear. Plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the warmth. It also wasnt super crowded. There are very few parking spots here though.

Majestic park centered around a serene and glassy lake, rippled only by the occasional duck taking flight as if soaring to the snow capped mountain visible in the distance.

This is a beautiful and quiet little park. There are no play structures but there are two to three picnic benches and a great climbing tree! Limited parking with approximately 6-8 parking spaces. A small access area to the water makes it a nice place to cool off in the summer heat and it must be a great fishing spot!A word of warning: make sure you wear water shoes if you plan to go down to the beach or get into the water. We found three Rusty fishing hooks on the beach and in the water.

Nice area with a grassy knoll, tall Douglas Fir and your typical Pacific Northwest shrubs and other trees. Parking for 6 cars. 500 feet walk to Hicks Lake.

This place does not get too crowded. Awesome place to go for a walk and also take your dog. Nice and steady swim but you have to watch the lily pads at some spots. I took my hammock with me and enjoyed the view.

Great place to swim with a small sandy beach area. Pretty steep short hill down to the water and the bathrooms are actually at the boat launch so I wouldnt recommend it if you wont pee in the water. But my daughter loves it.

Wonderful Hicks Lake park with a wonderful view of Mount Rainier. Its a small park, a little over 15 acres. Quiet and intimate on most days; perfect for a picnic. Parking is limited so this could be a plus or minus.

Cute little park. Nice trails, clean, picnic tables, the one thing that sucks is no grill to BBQ. People think its ok to let their dogs off leash because its not very populated. My dogs get whiney when they see the other dogs roaming happily. Lol. They provide dog waste bag but people are still lazy and leave it sit there. Not Metro Parks fault. Its on a lake but most access is downhill so be careful. At dusk the fish are.jumping, its very awesome to watch.

This is a small city public park. There is a boat launch next to the park that has a few trails. The hours are dawn to dusk. Parking is very limited. There are 2 disabled spots and 6 regular spots. There are 2 swimming spots with options to fish as well.

No public restroom and the grass is always dead in the summer, but there are a couple picnic tables and garbage cans. No barbecue pits. Good place for public lake access, but not a good place to gather for the day/picnic.
