Nice little park. Enjoyed some afternoon hours strolling and sitting watching the water and the water birds. Park is well maintained. Family friendly with a number of other families there. Looks like other good recreation opportunities which we did not do. This unit in the larger county park is relatively small so longer walks require multiple loops or walking between units.
This is such a lovely park! Citizens of the area are so blessed and fortunate to have such a wonderful family oriented park for their community!
The cleanest & nicest park/lake we have been to. Love going out early in the mornings to watch the sunrise. Its just beautiful!!!
Nice and clean park. Wonderful walking path with views of the lake.
I love coming here! Very nice park with river sports on site to rent paddle boards or kayaks. A summer day is well spent here.
Beautiful park and a nice walking/jogging trail. Was fun to walk our dogs here
Great destination that offers a variety of activities for all ages, including a beach, paved trails, shaded areas along the water that include picnic tables and grills, a play structure for children, several different areas to launch small water crafts, plus River Sports Outfitters offers rentals of a variety of small water crafts including life preservers.
Always clean. Easy access to the water on a hot day. Volleyball nets, grills and picnic tables make for a great waterside family outing!
Nice park, ducks and geese, paths to walk. Gets busy, if you are looking for less traffic this is not the place. But nice none-the-less.
This is a really beautiful park, perhaps the best in Knoxville (I am only in Knoxville for 10 months at this time).Great for quiet time by the river, family time and recreation, walks, bike rides, fishing, and much more...cmilton111Google Guide6.21.2020
Clean and beautiful water. Kids went swimming and I sat in my wheelchair fishing. Yea it started with light rain, but it was awesome!
This place is so amazing it has volleyball cord I have very very good time out there you should go .
Its nice and clean with lots of parking. It has sand that leads into the water, which is nice on the feet. It can get a bit crowded though. They do have kayak rentals also.
A nice place and good for bird watching, but too crowded in COVID times.
This family friendly park is great for a picnic gathering, walking the dog, or taking the kids to play. There is a short paved trail that provides lovely views of the lake and spots to picnic. In the summer there is a roped off swimming area in the lake, and the playground is open year round. There are also sand volleyball sites During the holidays dont forget to see the lights. The on-site store offers hot chocolate for purchase during the holiday lights event.
Great place for families. They have fishing kayaks for $14 per hour. Good swimming & fishing
Its a great place to chill with your family. Its gives you that beachy feelings and atmosphere.
It is good, but some places are filled with dogs poop
It was nice to relax in the sun and swim in the water! It would be a nice place to go if you want to get a tan and swim around.
Great place to cast off with paddle boards or kayaks. Friendly staff there and you can normally rent items if needed.
Nice park to swim with the family, sandy beach area, kids said there were more rocks in the beach area than to the right of the roped off area, lots of goose poop, wear shoes to avoid stepping on little spikey things in the grass
This is a great spot on North Shore, I only wish it werent so crowded on weekends. People were packed in as if no virus ever existed.Kayaks, SUPs, Canoes and Mountain Bikes are available from River Sports Outfitters. Theres a playground, two sand volleyball courts, a greenway, a few picnic tables and live music at night on weekends.
Went for a night kayak trip with my daughter. Calm and relaxing, plenty of fish and we were the only ones out there...
There was plenty of room to put your stuff out, it was clean, and it was very easy for the kids to get in and out of the water.
This is one of our families favorite parks. There are nice ones trails, lots of green space, its on the water with a playground, volley ball pit, swimming area, and kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals.
Very calm and beautiful place.
Parking could be better, as it was soooo crowded- even with the whole Corona thing. They have porta-pottys, no actual bathrooms. The water was nice but also felt somewhat dangerous, as there were people on all kinds of water craft who felt they could just cruise up to the bank where people swim.
Beautiful place for kayaking, barbequing, evening walk, playing volleyball, any many more. worth visiting.
Its amazing when not crowded. Just gotta watch out for big rocks in the water
A really great place to take your kids or pets for some fresh air and good family time. If youre fortunate to get on the swing that faces the lake its really enjoyable. Peaceful and friendly atmosphere.
Great location!!! Good ppl...
We had a blast. Very beautiful place.
This is a beautiful place to get out of the house and enjoy fresh air in a safe environment.
Nice and open safe social distance and enjoyable relaxing time
This place is super fun and calming. Its not to far from Knoxville and I would highly recommend going here!
Nice area to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of parking, water access and walking paths are nice.
Very pleasant walk around the park on a beautiful morning. My wife and I were on a short trip to enjoy a few places we had learned about. This morning we drove through and walked through a few parks in the area. Duck feeders in the park and no lack of ducks to feed. We had a good time enjoying the walk and water.
Its a great place with a sandy, beach-like area cut off from the main lake by rocks. Its nice and safe for kids and easy to oversee. You can rent canoes and paddle boards and theres playground equipment too.
Came here with my best friend and 2 boys when they came and visited TN.. this is a nice park
Love bringing grandkids here they take care of the place keeps it very clean
Its a really nice n friendly place the only thing that I didnt like was ppl had their trash cans filled to the top n all around the bottom of it on the ground n not just a little it was a lot of it
The family and I love this place weve returned many years to enjoy the beach and a beautiful Florida weather
I do wish you would bring ina few dump loads of sand.
Fun place to bring your kids also the lake is a great place to have your dog go for a swim
Great park! Has plenty of walking paths, trees, a pond for fishing, the lake with nice vistas, ducks to feed, lots of tables and grills, canoe and kayak rentals, volleyball courts, a playground, and public restrooms. Great for everyone!
Its a great place to park and ride a bike to the mixed use trails that are on the other side of the bridge. As a parent, I can park and let my teens ride while I walk.
Crowded and tons of kids but the swimming is nice
A good place to spend a dinner day. The park includes a kayak launch platform, grills, pavilions, playground, sand volleyball courts, swimming access to the lake. Parking is free but can fill up quickly on a beautiful summer afternoon. There is also a business that rents kayaks on site but I am unaware of what the fee is.
People were not exactly respectful of personal space and a little boy was very mean to my little girl and could have seriously hurt her and when I tried to hunt down his parents They Lied To me and told me they didnt know whos kid he was.
Beautiful. Go early to walk!
It’s a very beautiful park. It has so many different activities you can do. It’s a great place for everybody and the best choice for families to enjoy or even do parties!!
Discusting water leaves you with a green film on your body and no showers to rinse off with.
Really enjoyed the Christmas lights. Not to crowded. Perfect for the family.
Great family friendly place. Fantastic lights and decor for Christmas.
Great place to spend the day with the kids.
The park is nice. There are some rocks in the non roped off area that you need to be careful of of you are swimming. The water feels great but is murky as its natural river water. Great sand volleyball courts.
Really cool place, nice swimming area and beautiful view
Easy access and plenty of scenery to take in.
Sick now from it but been going here for yeats
This park is one of the best in Knoxville! It has so many things to do, like swimming, biking, running, and amazing volleyball courts.
This place is so nice and clean
Very pleasant place.
Love to have my grandsons birthday party here they could play at the playground play in the sand go swimming in the beach go to the duck pond and nice picnic areas with grills
Great park. Beautiful views
Very beautiful area to swim and has a nice path to walk and also a park for the kids. There is also picnic areas through-out the park with grills. We all had a great time.
Cute little park, playground for kids and during the Holidays they had Christmas lights
Been a long long while, years ago it was nice but now too much traffic and the whole area has changed over progress but sometimes progress is not good! Sorry!
Clean, packed cool place.
Pretty nice place to kayak, there is small trail there that is nice to stroll down. And plenty of places to sit down and just enjoy the water.
Great place for an afternoon stroll, a morning walk or just to pass the time. The park is very kid friendly as well as dog friendly. There are picnic tables and grills as well as a swimming area. Its a good place to launch a kayak too. There is a walking path as well as connections to bike paths and fishing areas. The park has made a miraculous recovery from its near destruction from a violent derecho wind a couple of years ago. The road and park can be, at times, kind of busy, but I have never not been able to find a place to park. Its one of my favorite places. Also, if you have never been there for their holiday lights, you should most definitely put it at the top of your things to do.
We didnt see the sign until after the photoshoot. We know better now!!!
Nice place
Love to eno here
We love this park! Its small but packs in lots with a beach, playground, water launch area, and duck feeding station. Oh and I cant forget the small paved walking path and pavillion area.
Very crowded but still able to have own space
Beautiful park, when it’s not packed with people. Plenty on things to do, like swim, walk, or play volleyball. All around fun park
