Beautiful little spot, heart shaped lake, lots of ducks and geese.

Nice little park in the center of town. Pretty, designed with a little stream flowing through and a kids playground that was nicely sized and full of family fun.Bring some nuts and feed the squirrels. Lots of swings and park benches to relax and enjoy the scenery. Picnic tables and easy parking make this a great spot to bring the family for a weekend picnic.

Always a joy to go to this park. Walking trail. Play ground. Picnic areas. Quiet sitting area. It does sit right on Broadway but there is a large ditch between it and road so children cant dash from play area to road quickly.

Used to love going there as a kid. Dropped by the other day to see all the changes that have been made. I like the grassy areas but it is difficult to walk past a lot of it since it covers the walkway.The biggest issue is it is just sad that people cant clean up after themselves.

This is a small Park that is popular with local people. The park does have some vandalism issues which would give me concern of recommending although I love parks with ducks and geese as well as fishing.I would recommend going in a group to any member of my family or anyone that I know. The park is maintained through citizen contributions to a local Lodge which is adjacent to the park (that was pointed out to me).cmilton111Google Guide7.10.2020

If you play pokemon go it has a decent amount of gyms. It has the building you can rent and is just a great place for people to hang out.

Love fountain city, I live here, but the park needs some up keep.....

Always a great place to walk the dog and they provide bags to clean up after your pooch

The pond was clean and well maintained. The park was the same. We had a great time walking our dog. They do provide bags to clean up after your dogs, so please help keep it clean, there is also children at play so please pick up.

Needs repairs and replacements on some of the playground equipment. We love the little stream that the kids like to play in. Best part about this park, especially on those hot summer days. Has some shaded areas too. Nice for walking.

Used to be nice and clean and filled with fish. The fish have been depleted and the pond is beyond disgusting! No one seems to take care of it properly.

Its a beautiful park, but it has some very old playground equipment. Its beautiful for photography, but I worry a little bit about the safety of the kids. There are some benches that need to be fixed as well.

Some playground equipment needs repair but I love going here. Its not exactly as it was when I was growing up, but my kids love it. Its a place for couples, kids, pets, and anyone who enjoys just walking in the park.

We just moved here and everyone kept telling me to visit Fountain City Park. You can feed the ducks which is cool. The playground on the other hand, I was so disappointed. There is trash all over the park. A person who appeared to be living underneath the pavilion was changing. The playground equipment just looked so old and run-down. Maybe if they clean it up a bit, well come back.

Killed some time there.... Kinda dirty could use a little more maintenance.

Getting to the point that this has become more of a homeless halfway house and less of a park. Very awkward walking around and being eye balled by all the transients. Found a bench that was empty and sat down. Was almost immediately approached by people trying to beg for cigarettes or selling everything under the sun. Used to love going here to walk around, but wont be back.

I absolutely love this park! They have really fixed it up since the last time I had been there. I love to go down and meditate and feed the duckies!

Family oriented with duck pond and large shelters for parties. Mostly clean nice large playground.

There are a lot of indigents here and some can be aggressive. The lake is clean but the park was sorta scary. I know the homeless struggle, but sometimes it would be nice to not be accosted whilst trying to deflate at the park.

Fountain City Park is a great place to have good outdoor fun for all. Go there have a picnic, watch some ducks, walk a few laps, catch some Pokemon, go swinging take another walk. I could easily spend all day here. Oh and with luck you could find this..

Park is very nice and spacious. Some of the equipment and apparatus needs to be replaced with new ones, but other than that its very nice

This park has a really great playground for kids of all ages. Theres 2 pavilions available for picnics or parties. Theres a walking trail that skirts the perimeter of the park. Bathrooms available. The Fountain City Duckpond is across the street and offers a walking trail around the pond and a chance to feed the ducks. Parking is on the street or in a church parking lot just across the street from the entrance of the park.

The playground was extremely in disrepair the last time we visited. The grass hadn’t been mowed. Not sure if Covid has caused it but pretty sad to see such a. Historic park fall to disrepair.

Great place for get together and let kids play. Only downside is the trash is always full or there is always trash on the ground.

All kinds of ducks and geese to feed. You can even fish here. Nice and relaxing place to visit, very friendly people.

The playground area of the park itself is quite nice. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of seating. The Landscaping is nice as well even in the middle of fall. However at the back of the the park there is a massive pool of stagnant water that feeds the small stream running through the park, which I saw a young boy drinking out of, very disturbing. The water fountain which I passed was inoperable and there was a homeless man sleeping on the ground in the central Pavilion, also quite disturbing. In broad daylight with proper supervision and maybe something for self-defense this would be a great place to play.

I have been going here since I was a kid, and now I bring my own kids here. Great spot to play Pokemon Go if you are into that sort of thing. There are three gyms in the park itself and three poke-stops also inside the park. There are also two more stops a short walk away at the pond.

It was fun to go down there and feed the ducks and the geese.

I love the park but its always covered in trash!! Heard stories of creepy old guys lurking, could use some security!!

A beautiful, historic park with a with the pond shaped like a heart with a fountain in the center that you can walk around and the little ones can feed the ducks or just enjoy a picnic lunch. Great place to enjoy a family outing or enjoy a calming lunch break.

Beautiful atmosphere to establish peace of mind

Property needs to be maintained like it was years ago. Lawn needs to be mowed and concrete under pavilions needs to be pressure washed.

It has great play area for kids, lots of places to sit & enjoy nature. Picnic cabanas & a walking trail, plenty of parking. Best of all a creek running through it. Best park in Knoxville in my opinion.

Nice place to be honest. Not too far from my home, easy to walk to. Ive made a lot of good and not so great memories here but its probably my favorite park ever. This park and the fountain I feel are the heart of this city and I know Ill definitely miss seeing them if I ever move anywhere else.

We went there a couple months back and had a blast. Convenient parking and lots of area for the kids to run and play. Some of the equipment is old, but still in good condition. The lake was a bit disappointing. While our 2 year old enjoyed the ducks the path and water were disgusting. We still enjoyed ourselves a lot tho

Such a lovely park, from the highway does not look like much, but park your car and walk through it, and you will be glad you did.

Old dirty, broken down equipment. Weeds growing up all over. There was a questionable group of people sitting in a secluded area hiding what they were doing. The one nice thing is the small creek running around the park area. My 2yr old enjoyed playing in it.

The Duck Pond is so Beautiful. The ducks are so cute & you can feed them. There is a quarter machine that gives you feed (like bublegum)

Fun park for kids. There is 3 sets of slides and swings for different ages. There is also monkey bars and a slider too for the adventurous ones. There is also a man made creek with pebble bottoms (safe for no shoes) that I will be taking the kids back to play in. There is also alot of shade surrounding the play area for us tires AF parents. Not the biggest and not the best, but it scores high for me as my kids ed it! Ill be back for certain.

A nice place to play, or walk, or have a picnic, or take your shoes off and get your feet wet. You might even discover the original fount of Fountain City. (Hint: its not the splashy one you see from the road)

Its time to get with the program. This park needs significantly brighter lighting and more safety features. With new social gaming, adults and teens are at the park well after sundown, and they deserve to be safe. Park hours should be extended and new lighting and outdoor charging benches like Pellissippi state has.We, your 30-40 somethings, will donate to see this park be made safer for nighttime game players and walkers.Its not the 50s anymore. People are out after dark, just like Market Square.

Needs to be cleaned, yard needs to be mowed and the water there needs to be cleaned, but I still love going there

Gnats, grime, and trash every where. The swans arent real- they are fake ones that have about an inch of solid sludge on them where they touch the pond water. Incredibly ugly, nasty, and smelly area.

This is a nice place. My kids enjoy feeding the ducks and geese. However, city authorities can do better; it’s woefully dirty. The lake could even be somehow fenced to make it child-friendly.

Recent renovations have restored this historic park to its former beauty. I have great memories of taking my son to play there, and now my granddaughter. Im happy to see the park enjoyed by future generations.
