Wonderful park with good canoeing or kayaking area. Definetly bringing sunscreen next time
Nice park with plenty of picnic areas, tables, and grills, a playground and a small swimming area. People need to take care of this as there is easy to find trash.
Love this place. It has it all!
Very nice park with a boat launch and swimming area. Plenty of fishing trails as well
Very nice place to go definitely go there again
Docks were good and clean. Needs more parking to accommodate trucks with trailers.
Its a great place for lake gathering or swimming
Great fishing hole!!
By far my favorite place to kayake
Great fishing, has a Sandy Beach area it was a good place to swim but now to much river slime. Has a good place for grilling and picnicking but opens at 10am till like 6pm but hours could change for summer. Came here when I was a kid, lots of people but now it seems not so much. Very small kids play area, couple of ball fields, could be so much better if the city of oak ridge would revaluate it. But like most we dont have the money
Good for pets and kids
I love Clark Park. Great place to take your kids. Always have a great time there
Best park weve found in Oak Ridge...far from local traffic, so you get away from all the noise pollution. Its not often crowded, and theres a decent playground for the little ones. We saw a walking trail behind the playground (but havent explored it yet), and there are quite a few nice looking spots to fish from the bank, if youre into that. Mostly, I just love it for the solitude!
Had to park and walk to the water, but it was nice!!!
3 stars only because they close the picnic/swimming area too early in the year for me. Otherwise its 5 stars all the way.
Good fishing spot.
Nice trails can rent boats i need to go back
Very nice park, set up well for get togethers and bank fishing.
The water is really extremely dangerous theres a lot of floating debris
Beautiful place to picnic, boating, fishing or just relaxing by the water!!!
Its very clean. Very well kept up and its very large. There is even a beach and showers. Not only do people go swimming here but they also go fishing too.
This park has it all! A swimming area, fishing area, boat launch picnic tables, softball/baseball fields, grills, playground, and a horse shoe sandpit. Minus one star because no dogs or pets in general are allowed. Great place to kayak or paddle board. There is a beautiful rock wall you can make it to fairly easily. You can reserve the pavilions at no cost!
We enjoyed the little beach area for the kids to swim very nice park to go and relax at lots of kids and families here we had a blast considering we grew up in South Florida and grew up at the beaches
Hidden treasure beautiful clean beach great fishing.fresh white Sand play area nice bathrooms. An very safe.
Clark Center park, formerly Carbide Park, is a great spot. You can swim, fish, hike, picnic, celebrate birthdays, have cookouts and even play softball.
Usually good fishing. Nice picknick area.
My lake time is my holy time. The water might be radiated, but who cares really? Were all gonna die somehow. Anyways, great views, chill staff, generally friendly patrons. My favorite place to be in the summer.
Clark Center park is a nicely maintained park with a good boat launch, plenty of parking except for maybe the busiest holiday weekends, and has a sandy beach area for swimming.
Very nice and clean
Great place to launch and for outings.
Had a Tuesday night tournament great day to fish they dropped the lake about 2 to 3 ft made fish a little tough to catch but a great place to go fishing and have a good time...
Need to open gate at the swimming area!
Mich nicer condition than I remember it from a decade ago and more trails and such to do.
Softball fields, swimming with beach, picnic areas with tables and grills, covered cabana, boat loading ramp, hiking trails and office/storage building. Many activities for young and old. Organized softball games. Suggested that desired picnic area be reserved.
Very nice and quiet
Nice little park, good views and you cant beat free
First time on a kayak here today. Amazing weather and good fishing
Nice boat ramp with floats on either side where you can pull your boat up to
Great place
Best for boating on Melton Hill Lake.
Good fishing and swimming
Great place for some easy trail runs. The terrain is mostly rolling hills but but to technical. A shady start through the forest opens up to some beautiful views at the end! I usually start my training for the OCR season here before moving to Haw Ridge once Ive built my base back up.
Always lovely
My family visits frequently. Its fun and not far from home
A beautiful place to visit especially during the week.
Great to fish, hike, explore, swim, or just hang out in the sun.
Fun outing. We went swimming in the swimming area. Water was very cold, bathrooms are a hike (more like a car ride), and there is no shade. The sand was clean, but there are signs posted to not eat on the sand ( there are grassy areas and picnic tables close by). We had fun... Will be better prepared next time. No pets allowed.
Good fishing with boy scouts!
Peaceful place
Small area but lovey sand!
I love this park... regardless of whether you call it carbide, or clark center... its a great place to connect with nature, either by boat, foot, or whatever.
Nice place for family outing. & fishing
Nice place. We do kayak roll practice there. They have a nice size swimming area.
Always busy, kinda messy. Fishing is soso, never any park rangers in sight.
Very fun and exciting to go to. Always fair parking and clean and tidy restrooms. Highly recommend to anyone, especially fisherman.
They need to clean it up
I AND MY FAMILY VISITED THE PARK A COUPLE TIMES THIS WEEK AND WE ALWAYS DO DURING THE SEASON, i LIVE IN KNOXVILLE AND MAKE THE LONG TRIP TO COME TO THE PARK. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED THESE TRIPS BECAUSE, THE GIRLS SWAM IN THE SWIM AREA AND I FISHED FROM THE FAR END BANK AWAY FROM THE COVE, THE PEOPLE SWAM ACROSS THE LAKE EVEN WITH SIGNS POSTED, THEY BROUGHT LARGE MOTORIZED BOATS IN THE AREA AT HIGH SPEEDS, THEY ROLLED THEIR PADDLE BOARDS ACROSS OUR FISHING LINES, THEY FLOATED ON FLOATS RIGHT WHERE WE WERE AND JUMPED FROM THE BANK IN THE WATER, THEY SHOT FIREWORKS BROUGHT DOGS, AND BIRDS AND SHOWED A TOTAL DISRESPECT THAT WE WHERE FISHING I WILL RETURN TO THE PARK BUT EXPECT TO SEE SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY THAT CAN ENFORCE THE RULES OR CAN BE CONTACTED IF AN PROBLEM ARISES. THANK YOU FOR THE SERVICE YOU PROVIDE HOPING THINGS GET BETTER, SIGNED THE BUTLER FAMILY.
Great place to fish and kayak
If they didnt kick us out it would have been better. But I guess they should have had a sign saying park wasnt open till memorial day.
Clark park is a great place to take the family.
Love this place!!
Nice park
This park has much to offer, including a boat ramp, several trails to fishing locations, a pavilion, sand volleyball courts, a softball field, a swimming beach, multiple concrete picnic tables with fire grills, a public restroom and a greenway thats a couple of miles long.My only complaint, as it is with all lakes in East Tennessee, is that fishermen leave trash everywhere. Grow up and be a man and use the trash cans!
Great place to swim, fish or boat for free. Great photo ops everywhere.
The scenery is great during the warm seasons. Its a good place for picnics or group events. The water is okay for swimming in, but there are a fair number of leeches, so be observant.
Gorgeous park. Great swimming area. Lots of great picnic areas as well. Plenty of wildlife and beautiful scenery
Beutiful park always clean good fishing and a great boat ramp
Clean and fun park. Will definitely put our boat in there again.
Great park. Ball fields, picnic area, docks, boat launch and swimming area.
Its a beautiful, peaceful place to visit. There is a boat dock, swimming area, picnic tables galore, most with grills, baseball fields, playground, covered picnic area, and lots of places to fish from shore. The only downside is that no pets allowed.
Great place to take the kids. Nice sand beach, and good family environment.
Great place to launch your boat or just hang out with family and enjoy the outdoors.
Needs to be updated a little bit but we had a great time with the kids!
A nice family park
We enjoyed the the sandy beach, and that there isnt a lot of boat traffic.
Upkeep leaves a lot to be desired.
A good place to take kids swimming...but they do not have a lifegard
Great fishing areas all along the road.
Very good and nice real professional THANKS for having access to the fishermen
The address is wrong!!! never found this place. the address listed is located all the way through Knoxville into Fountain City and then Halls Crossroads and through it into some neverland...so so sad to have waisted 1.5 hrs of my time and ended up with super upset kids..
The crew does an excellent job keeping it clean
The park also includes a playground with real teeter totters. (Yes, I have not seen those much anymore as most playgrounds have removed them for safety issues.) There are a few fishing trails. I think they are fairly short, but did not do the one marked 4, 5, 6, but want to go back and do that at some point. Very beautiful scenery with all the water, and forested areas. Great place to a have a picnic in the summer, or to walk and very peaceful this morning. Was doing the Gallaher Bend Greenway today, but thought the park was beautiful and cant wait to see it other seasons of the year. I will be back.
NO PETS ALLOWED. Thats unfortunate. A lot of parks have websites that might explain something like that, but this one doesnt. We had the dogs in the car but had to turn around and go somewhere else.
Even though there are PLENTY of signs stating NO Pets or smoking thats all that is going on. Dog poop and cigarette butts are everywhere. Not clean and definitely not a good experience.
Great place to visit
Really nice area, wouldnt go at night, but nice during the day.
Good fishing just dont eat
Great boat ramp for a family to use. Double ramp
Great for cheap b day parties
Best time ever
Fun clean and safe place for the entire family to swim and hang out.
