Nice spot for a dive- saw plenty of life along the reef (though you may want to swim a bit before descending as it stays shallow for a bit). Saw several turtles and countless fish species. If youre looking for Whitetip Cave or the Bubble Cave, I would recommend going with a guide (or at least someone who knows how to find them) or maybe just going on a calmer day- my wife and I were told about these attractions but didnt find them. That could have been due to low visibility at the time though.

This is a really nice beach for kids..it would of been 5 stars but the only thing I didnt like is during high tide the area we were on has a lot of rocks so the water comes up to that point..there is a shower on one end which is good. There are alot of turtles and its relatively shallow..there are fishing spots and all that good stuff. Overall a good Beach

Quiet little spot! Great to view the Sunset !! I hear there is a clothing optional spot there but didnt see it when I was there. There are some parking spots but not too many. Disabled parking also! Up the road a bit is a nice public beach... parking is extremely limited and must walk a fair amount to gain beach access

Amazing place to Snorkel. Not as busy as other areas yet similar to many places in Oahu, there are times where its filled with tourists. You do not have to swim far to find great reefs to snorkel around, or if you are ambitious you can scuba down and see even more sealife.Good for people new to snorkeling as the waves do not get too rough.

Great place to go snorkeling. Beach is perfect size. Somewhat quite and not to busy. Great place to see some turtles and all kinds of fish. The coral is supper cool. The fish love to hang out in it. When we went snorkeling, the water was very calm which was perfect. Put this place on your bucket list for sure.

The snorkling here is amazing. There is a beautiful reef with a ton of tropical fish. This is also a great place to view sea turtles. There is very sharp coral and many urchins so use caution. The only down side to this location was the amount of other people here. The parking lot was full and there was limited space to sit.

The best snorkeling we had in 9 days on the islands was here! We absolutely love this beach. We were very fortunate to swim with some turtles. Lots of fish as well. I cant say enough about how great the snorkeling was here. Parking is hard to come by. Cars were parked for quite some distance on both sides of this park. Plenty of other beaches close by if it is to crowded for you. Please excuse the picture quality. My wife had the camera on the wrong setting. The water was crystal clear.

Has to be one of the best shore diving spots around. Turtles, eels, sharks, caverns and caves. Go with someone that knows the spots first as you might pass them by. Easy entry into the water. Try this spot or the Lahaina Pier dive. This is much easier entry however.

Simply amazing snorkel and diving location. The ocean floor is sand and is great for first time divers to get their bearings on things. The reef is vibrant and alive with wildlife. We went in December where the whales come to migrate. You can hear them singing below the surface. Plenty of sea turtles swimming in the water, too. Small today bathrooms and showers present as well.

Great beach in South Maui. We visited late in day for a quick snorkel to check out our scuba masks before our dive the next day. Beach is on the small side but wasn’t crowded. The surrounding park had restrooms and outdoor showers...and plenty of space for sitting to ocean watch or sun.Very easy in and out for swimming or snorkeling, but visibility not great and marine life was sparse.

Best snorkelling and scuba diving on Maui, I swear. Underwater caves with reef sharks, sea turtles almost as big as a smart car and awesome life lurking around, plus its not too crowded. Also a nice grassy park to set up a beach chair and hang out.

Review №25

The beach proper is very small, just a small opening in the rocks. However, this place is great for snorkeling and watching sea turtles. We came here twice and both times we saw 3 or 4 adult (quite large) turtles plus a couple of infant ones. Theyre also very tame, so you can get really close to the action. Be warned that the turtles eat stuff growing on the rocks, so if you get too close the strong waves can push you to the rocks.

Came here to snorkel, which we did. We swam out from the sandy area of beach on the right side of the bay (as you face the water). We followed the shore out 300 to 500 feet toward the point. We had a good swim and saw varieties of coral and several turtles in the water. We saw some fish, but not lots and lots. But maybe the best attraction was the turtles sunning on the beach. This secluded area is at the extreme righthand side of the park. At the end of the paved parking area, follow the shore into the trees another 20 feet or so. Please stop where the Caution - Turtles sign is posted. We have been thete several times, seeing none or up to eight! Another attraction, after a couple hours snorkeling, was to sit in the shade of one of the many trees and watch the waves crash on the rocks infront of us.

I came by boat on a snorkel tour. I think this is the closest beach you can get to the rocks where the turtles are. I saw so many turtles while I was snorkeling today. Hopefully I can post some pictures from my go pro later. Definitely check out this spot. Just be careful because the surf is rough and will run you into the rocks if you aren’t careful and you aren’t a strong swimmer.

Great snorkeling over a sizable drop. Youll encounter a number of larger fish species here thanks to the deeper water. There are plenty of turtles and its an easy swim (for confident swimmers) around to point to the relative shelter of Turtle Town. Not much sandy white beach here... really only a few feet. Also, not too many parking spots here, be sure to arrive early in the day to secure a spot - or be prepared to park on the street and walk a bit. Whether above or bellow the waves... DONT TOUCH THE TURTLES
