Flagler Station was a small interesting museum with a collection of memorabilia from a model of Fort Jefferson on the Dry Tortugas (Garden Key) the people and times of the railroad. It is also part of the Conch Train Tour where you can get off and on at the museum. The surrounding area was full of novel stores and attractions worth the stop in our opinion. Enjoy.
Great museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the recap of Key West history and Flagler’s railway. A lot of information for history buffs but a lot of visuals to keep everyone entertained!
Very well done history of Henry Flagler and his railroad and hotel building in Florida. It focus is on Key West as it should be. Informative to the max.
Great little museum. The lobby part was free to the public. My 5 YO loves watching the train go around the lobby up above. Small fee (maybe it was $10) for adults to enter the rest of the museum. Small but fun and something different if its not your first trip to Key West.
Surprisingly unfriendly. I read the book last train to paradise, which was excellent and included many more details about the challenges and solutions by flagler during the railroad build. Unlike the museum, the book also described details about flaglers wives and his personal challenges. Way overpriced and seemed like a tourist trap. I want my money back.
Very affordable. Museum is small but informative. Parts of it are outdoors. Even though most of the outdoor exhibits were under cover it was still very HOT and my visit was in May. The A/C was working overtime with all of the in and out, opening and closing of doors.
Kids loved this little museum. Awesome museum with lots of history about Ships and Trains that came to the Keywest. Lots of interactive things to do with the kids and a great video about the railroad.
Newest and best museum on the island. A must visit! The model of Fort Jefferson is huge and impressive. Ill get pictures the next time Im there.
If you’re visiting the Keys this is a place that needs your attention . My husband and I have been following the history around Flagler and the museums all around Florida from San Augustine to the house at West palm beach this place is a must
